A baby quilt. A snowy mountain inn. A Christmas search for the mother she’s never met.
Lila McAllister has built a successful career as a hospitality consultant, but this Christmas she isn’t chasing five-star ratings, she’s chasing answers. A mysterious clue has led her to the charming small town of Pine Ridge, Colorado, and its cozy mountain inn, where she hopes to find the birth mother who gave her up thirty-four years ago
What begins as a secret mission soon becomes more complicated when Lila is captivated by the snow-covered streets, festive lights, and the warmth of a community that feels like family. Then there’s Brady, the inn’s devoted manager, who is equal parts stubborn and kind. He's not at all impressed with her suggestions and constant need to fix things. Yet in time, he shows her the beauty of slowing down, savoring the season, and opening her heart.
As Christmas Eve approaches, long-buried secrets come to light, forcing Lila to choose between the carefully built life she left behind and the family—and love—she never expected to find.
With festive charm, heartfelt emotion, and a cozy inn you’ll wish you could visit, this uplifting Christmas story will warm your heart long after the last page.
Savannah Carlisle writes heartwarming romance novels with idyllic beach settings. Her stories transport readers to fun and quirky small towns where friends feel like family. So, if you’re ready for a mental vacation, you’ve come to the right place!
Savannah jokes that she's living her own Hallmark movie because she's a former big city corporate attorney who now lives in the small beach town of Fernandina Beach writing romance novels.
When she isn't busy at her laptop writing her next book, Savannah enjoys putting her feet in the sand with a good book in hand. She lives on Amelia Island in Florida with her husband, German Shepherd, and three cats.

A beautiful inn with lovely guests greets us as we join Lila who isn’t sure she wants to be here celebrating.
Will Lila enjoy her time here or want to go home and pout on Christmas Day?
She did come to find her birth mother not enjoy herself.
Things get comfortable for her as we see what happens as we get to enjoy Christmas along with the warmth of being with the small group of welcoming guests.

ARC Review 🎄 Small Town Romance | ☕️ Grumpy x Sunshine | 💌 Found Family | 🏠 Search for Birth Mom | 🔥 Cinnamon Roll MMC
Savannah Carlisle does it again 😍 I can’t believe Christmas at Pine Ridge Inn is her first Christmas novel, because no one delivers Hallmark feels quite like she does.
I absolutely adore the way Savannah writes small-town romances, and this one did not disappoint. Set in the cozy town of Pine Ridge, FMC Lila is on a journey to find her birth mom… but ends up finding so much more than the answers she seeks.
And of course, what’s a small-town romance without a plaid-wearing, swoon-worthy cinnamon roll MMC? Brady is everything you’d expect: grumpy, outdoorsy, and sweeter than hot cocoa. ☕️
The Pine Ridge Inn is filled with love, charm, and the best found-family feels 🥹 the kind that’ll have you wanting to book a stay there immediately. The side characters add so much to this beautiful story, from laughter to friendship, giving it that all-around Christmas glow.
This story is bursting with Christmas magic, small-town charm, and heartwarming found-family moments. It’ll tug on your heartstrings in the best way and leave you misty-eyed. ❤️🎄
📖 Thank you to the author for the opportunity to be an early reader in exchange for an honest review.
HOW SWEET WAS THIS?!! I felt like I was living inside a Hallmark movie! I loved every second of it!
Lila starts off in a tough place, facing some heavy circumstances, but watching her journey unfold was pure magic. She ends up finding everything she might’ve dreamed of—but never thought possible.
This adorable small-town romance is packed with heart, quirky characters, and that warm sense of community that makes you want to move there immediately. Brady—the grumpy, no-nonsense manager—completely stole my heart. His shared history with Lila added depth and made their connection feel so real.
There’s just something about a town rallying around one of their own that gets me every time. And the grand finale? Finding her mom and getting engaged? I was cheering like it was my own love story.
I need this turned into a movie ASAP. Hallmark, ARE YOU LISTENING??!!
Random comment, but I love the cover as well!
Thank you NetGalley and Savannah Carlisle/Sportsbizmiss Enterprises for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
I loved this sweet romance that was more about finding yourself, your past, and connecting with friends who became family. Beautiful journey and the ending was perfect.
This was such a sweet story with definite Hallmark Christmas vibes. After the death of Lila’s parents she’s feeling alone in the world. She’s finally decided to try to find her birth mother. Not to replace her parents but to find out more about the details surrounding her adoption and see if she can make a connection with her birth parents. As the adoption was made a closed one, she has some investigating to do. She just has a small box of birth records and at the very bottom is the Christmas quilt that came with her. She never noticed before but there’s a label there that gives info for a shop in Pine Ridge, Co where it was made. She books a stay at a B & B there during the holiday season in search of answers. It’s a beautiful story about second chances, love, & found family. My only complaint is that it was a bit repetitive in some parts and I predicted the outcome early on which made me a bit impatient waiting for things to unfold. However, I love this author and would recommend her books to anyone looking for a PG book with many memorable quotes. 3.5⭐️
"Home isn't always one specific place," Carol said softly. "Sometimes it's a feeling. A simple sense of belonging when you're around people who matter to you."
"She always said that baking is like an edible love letter."
* "Sometimes people try to fix everything around them when they can't fix what's bothering them on the inside."
Curious about the identity of her birth mother, Lila McAllister travels to Pine Ridge, Colorado for the holidays, the location of where the only item she has from her birth mother, a quilt, was made. Lila is charmed by the small town inn and the Christmas activities, as well as by the inn’s manager, Brady. As Christmas approaches, secrets come to light…
This was a super sweet, very Hallmark-esque Christmas story, and I really enjoyed it! The setting is idyllic for a Christmas read with a cozy, small town and plenty of Christmas activities that deliver that festive holiday cheer. Grab this heartwarming book if you need an uplifting holiday read this Christmas season!
Thank you to NetGalley and SportsBizMiss for my gifted digital copy!
This was a cute read, however, I felt it was a bit predictable. I really enjoyed reading about Lila and her “self-discovery” after losing her adopted parents. I was happy that Lila and Brady found each other in their grief, but the instant love was a bit much for me, I wish the “enemies to lovers” aspect lasted a little longer than a couple pages to build more tension between the two. This Inn is definitely a grief cabin lol, seems everyone experiencing grief clustered here. Is a quick cute read for the holidays but was not a book I would reread.
This was just perfect. Sitting on my couch watching the snow fall and reading couldn’t have been a better scene for this one. Small town romance, found family. The perfect setting. It really reminded me of where I live. If Pine Ridge Inn were a real place I’d want to stay there. I adored all of the characters in this book. They each took a little piece of my heart.
It was cozy but also uplifting. So many happy tears were shed. I absolutely adore Savannahs books. They hit so right.
Christmas At Pine Ridge Inn has me smiling as soon as I enter in . Savannah Carlisle raises a smile from within by her immersive storytelling. We know what’s coming and invested in the story.
I loved this book so much!! What a delightful Christmas book that had me smiling & laughing & loving all the characters!! Savannah Carlisle never disappoints-her character development, plot and settings are always on point. I couldn’t put it down…and finished this book wanting a sequel!! This will put you in the holiday spirit for sure!! Enjoy!!!
Savannah Carlisle writes it and I am going to read it. This one did not disappoint. The sweetest heartwarming Christmas read. I enjoyed it so much I read it in one day. I can picture myself rereading this when I get my Christmas decorations up. ❤️🎄✨
This book is sweet, heart-warming, and perfect for the Christmas season!
Lila goes out to find her birth mother but ends up finding so much more in a small Inn in a festive Colorado town. Pineridge Inn feels so alive while reading, you get to know the little group of people there quickly and end up caring about each and everyone. The Christmas vibes are strong, it is cozy, a little whimsical, and a little mysterious as well.
I did feel like the romance was a little rushed, but it was very sweet and I was rooting for Lila and Brady. The heartfelt happy ending made it perfect!
Thank you to NetGalley and the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Christmas at Pine Ridge Inn is a standalone Christmas Romance featuring Lila, a hospitality consultant who is searching for answers after her adoptive mother’s death. This will be her first Christmas without her loving adoptive parents, and she’s giving in to the need to discover her past, where she came from, why her birth parents gave her up for adoption, and perhaps to find closure on her past, or the greatest gift would be to actually find her birth mother.
She has one clue, a baby blanket with a tag that says it was made in Pine Ridge, Colorado. She went searching for answers, but didn’t expect to find her future in the form of one not always welcoming inn manager, Brady. I chuckled a bit because Lila just cannot stop being what she is… a hospitality consultant who is constantly giving unsolicited opinions to Brady about the inn, even when she had to see that it was annoying him to his absolute limits.
As Lila looks for answers, she’ll find herself falling in love with a small town that absolutely loves Christmas, meet some quirky residents, and begin to feel like this town could be what she’s searching for beyond finding her birth mother. The longer she’s around Brady, the more certain she becomes in trusting that she’s found her forever person. Brady feels like home.
I loved everything about Christmas at Pine Ridge Inn by Savannah Carlisle. From the search for Lila’s birth mom to the snowy Christmas scenes to the people of both the town and the inn, and of course, the growing relationship between Lila and Brady. Their story is full of emotions, laughter, and answers to questions that have, in some ways, defined Lila’s life. It’s well-written, emotional, and easily drew me into their world. I think I’ve found a new-to-me author that I’d like to explore their backlist of stories, for Lila and Brady’s romance is exactly what I look for in a good romance. If this sounds like your kind of Christmas Romance, then you’ll love Lila and Brady’s story.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley, and I sincerely thank the author or publishing house for their trust. It is my choice to leave a review, giving my personal opinion about this book.*

My Thoughts: This sweet holiday story left my heart happy. Set in a perfect Colorado town with all of the Christmas activities it has just the right mix of personal struggles, found family, and romance to feel like the very best Hallmark Channel movie.FMC Lila is on a journey to find her birth mom… but ends up finding so much more than the answers she seeks. I am adopted so searching for my birthmother was very time consuming, my daughter actually located her after 57 years. What a heartwarming read to help get excited about the Christmas season. . I couldn’t put the book down I wanted to find out what happens next . Be sure to add this to your TBR list, Hightly recommend. Thank you, Netgalley, for the ARC! This book was so good, a warm, comforting escape that perfectly balances the magic of the Christmas holidays with themes of love and family. It’s not just a sweet romance; it’s a story about finding where you belong and realising that the family you’ve been searching for might be closer than you think!
In this book, we meet Lila, a successful hospitality consultant who arrives in the charming town of Pine Ridge, Colorado, on a secret mission. Firstly, the setting! I absolutely LOVE it. Colorado is the perfect backdrop for Christmas - the snowfall, winter sports, mountain-town charm, and festive atmosphere. Lila is there to find the birth mother who gave her up 34 years ago. Her only clue is a mysterious baby quilt, which leads her to a local mountain inn. As the story unfolds, she’s drawn in by the warmth of the small town… and then she collides with the inn’s manager, Brady!
Now, personally, I love men with Brady’s kind of personality. He’s deeply protective of the inn and not exactly welcoming of outside help. But Lila, being determined and naturally inclined to improve things, inevitably clashes with him. Their friction and professional disagreements make for such fun tension!
What I loved most about this story is how Lila and Brady’s connection develops. Their relationship begins through work, and that naturally leads into something deeper and romantic, I personally love that. It’s a colleagues-to-lovers story, and from the start, it had my full attention. The writing is engaging, the chapter lengths are just right, and if you’re like me and enjoy books with a special emotional touch, this one’s for you. The dual focus of the plot (no spoilers!) adds a heartfelt emotional depth that goes beyond your typical holiday romance.
This book has everything I look for in a Christmas or winter romance. I’d also say it fits beautifully within Women’s Fiction because of Lila’s personal journey of self-discovery and her search for long-lost connection. I absolutely loved this story, my first book by Savannah, and by far an amazing one 💖
This story “Christmas at Pine Ridge” was wonderfully full of Christmas festivities, snowy weather and cozy feels! We get to pick out a Christmas tree, decorate cookies and sit by crackling fires., cookie decorating, and hot fireplaces with cozy settings.
We meet Lila McAllister, who a notably successful hospitality consultant who has recently lost her mother who adopted her. This will be her first very difficult Christmas alone. She decides it’s time to go in search of her birth mother. She really wants to find answers to her questions. It was a closed adoption and the only clue she has is a very exceptionally crafted handmade baby quilt. She is able to research due to its uniqueness and discovers it was made in the charming small town of Pine Ridge Inn, in the Colorado mountains. I felt transported into a festive and enchanting place worthy of Hallmark.
She books a stay at the local inn and arrives to be immediately captivated by the charm of it. I loved the feeling that I was there amidst the beautiful Christmas decorations, surrounded by snow and inside at the crackling fire. The town has everything you need to make it have that magical Hallmark feel. I hope they make a movie of this book! We meet the caretaker; Brady who is a bit mysterious and we love entering their story and where it might lead. There are secrets, twists and turns with finding out who her real birth mother is. I loved the guests at the inn that all intertwine to create a family Christmas together.
Our author, Savannah Carlisle does a wonderful job of transporting us to Pine Ridge with such vivid descriptions of the town and engaging characters in this heartwarming Christmas tale. It will whisk you away on this picturesque vacation. I did not want this book to end! You will want to put this on your To Be Read list!

I just really love Savannah’s writing style and the stories she develops. Her characters are easy to connect with and the setting she chooses for her stories provides beautiful imagery, which makes reading her books feel like a refreshing retreat.
Christmas at Pine Ridge Inn takes the reader to a wonderful winter wonderland in Colorado where Lila has traveled in hopes of finding information that will hopefully help her find her birth mother. When she first arrives, she has no desire to celebrate Christmas since it will be her first Christmas without her adoptive parents. She has only a quilt with a tag indicating it was made by a store in Pine Ridge, Colorado. As the week progresses, she begins finding joy in activities she thought would make her sad. She begins developing friendships with others staying at the lodge and they come to feel like a special family. Within a few days of her arrival, it’s beginning to feel like Lila is where she was meant to be this Christmas. Pieces start falling into place and Lila begins feeling more confident that she will find her birth mother. With Christmas Day, which just happens to be Lila’s birthday, getting closer, she can only hope that she will receive a Christmas miracle and her birthday mother’s identity will be revealed. Lila is also coming to discover that she might just find more than she originally came to find.
Christmas at Pine Ridge Inn is the perfect Christmas read! It will leave you feeling warm, cozy, and filled with so much love. I absolutely love this book and cannot recommend it enough!! It is one that I would love to see made into a Christmas movie!

"Christmas at Pine Ridge Inn" by Savannah Carlisle is a heartwarming holiday story that is bursting with tender moments and emotion, all tied up with major Hallmark vibes!
Lila McAllister is a successful hospitality consultant, making waves in her career. Outside of her work-life, Lila has been grappling with the recent loss of her adoptive mother and having to face her first holiday alone. Since losing the parents who'd raised her, Lila's curiosity about her birth parents had grown even stronger. Armed with a clue, a handmade baby quilt, Lila sets off to the small town of Pine Ridge to seek information at the shop where her quilt had been made 34 years earlier.
Pine Ridge Inn, a quaint and cozy bed-and-breakfast, is where Lila winds up staying while she searches for answers. Here she finds herself surrounded by the good company of the other guests at the inn, and the inn's staff as well. Brady Hanson is the grumpy yet sweet manager of the inn, and Lila's love interest. Together with Brady and everyone else at the inn, Lila participates in many fun seasonal activities that grow her Christmas spirit and evoke a feeling of togetherness!
This book truly gives all the Christmassy Hallmark vibes with the setting of a small mountain town, quirky but kindhearted locals, plus an abundance of seasonal activities and baking! However, I did feel that the romance was a tad lacking and that Lila and Brady's relationship could've used more build-up. What I loved most was seeing how Lila's journey unfolded, plus the mystery of who her birth parents are.
Lila McAllister, a successful hospitality consultant, has made a bold decision to embark on a unique Christmas adventure. Determined to find her birth mother, her only clue is a handmade baby quilt. That has led her to Pine Ridge Inn, located in a charming Colorado Mountain town.
When she arrives at the inn, she’s immediately captivated by the fresh snowfall and the beautiful Christmas decorations. The town exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, and Lila can’t help but fall in love with its charm.
As the days pass and Christmas approaches, Lila uncovers hidden family secrets that force her to make unexpected decisions. The story takes a thrilling turn with a plot twist and a mystery that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.
“Christmas at Pine Ridge Inn” by Savannah Carlisle is a delightful and heartwarming read that transports readers to a festive and enchanting world. The author’s vivid descriptions of the falling Christmas snow and the crisp, cold air, is captivating and engaging, drawing readers in from the very first page and keeping them hooked until the very last.
Carlisle’s ability to weave a compelling narrative that spans Lila’s past and present day is truly remarkable. Her writing style is captivating and draws readers into the lives of the characters, making them feel as if they are part of the story. If you’re looking for a festive Christmas vacation filled with magical snow and the perfect mountain backdrop, “Christmas at Pine Ridge Inn” is the book you need to read. I highly recommend this phenomenal story to anyone who enjoys a good mystery and a heartwarming Christmas tale.
While this may seem like another Hallmark made-for-tv movie novel, this story is far more nuanced in its exploration of emotional issues, including adoption, love, loss, and grief balanced with the joy of the season and the bonding of characters as a family of choice.
My first impression of Lila McAllister is that she had no “off” button. By that I mean she kept offering unsolicited advice as a highly regarded hospitality consultant rather than simply being a guest. Thankfully, she quickly evolved beyond this annoying characteristic. Sadly, this is her first Christmas without both of her adoptive parents, and her inclination was to avoid all things Christmas. Unexpectedly, she discovered an obscure clue related to her birth mother and traveled to Pine Ridge to investigate and finds herself immersed in a town brimming with holiday cheer.
I thoroughly enjoyed this heart-felt Christmas story. The descriptions of the small town, the Inn, the staff, and guests as well as the seasonal activities hit all the right notes for a solid holiday read. The prose is beautifully crafted and highly evocative in its imagery and emotional tone. The tension that moves the story along is illustrated by Lila’s search for her birth mother’s identity and a budding romance with Brady, the Inn manager.
My thanks to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for the privilege of reviewing this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This review will be posted on Amazon upon publication.

My Opinion
Savannah Carlisle has written a delightful, festive novel. Christmas at Pine Ridge Inn was a lovely, quick read with a charming plot. An uplifting read.
overall a cute and nicely done holiday romance if a bit overly convenient and a bit hallmark movie-ish in lots of places - which can be a positive or a negative depending on what you look for in your holiday reads.
for such a short story it packed a good amount in and it worked even if as i mentioned a few things where a bit too conveniently placed and set up too work in the page number but it’s a christmas mostly feel good read so its not too bad.
i did wish the characters where more developed and the entire setting wasn’t just “picture movie magic christmas small town” but rather a bit more of a real set up but it works with what it does overall.
i did feel the main character was a bit of a let down in how little actual character she had - she was introduced basically as her job (a hotel consultant) and the she became a mixture of that a the adopted baby that really wanted to find her family but it never really got anywhere else. i think there could have been more character building and that would have made the emotional moments work better because as it was i felt too distant and unconnected to the characters to really feel much of anything.
overall its a good story and a good book and a pretty quick holiday read, whose main focus is not romance even if there is romance.
so if you are looking for something like this go for it.
🎄The vibes: - Adoption - Women’s fiction feeling - Cozy Christmas setting - Found family - Closed door
🎄 My thoughts: I really loved how this story was full of Christmas festivities. Snowy weather in the Colorado mountains, Christmas tree picking, cookie decorating, and hot fireplaces with cozy settings. The atmosphere was the perfect backdrop.
Even though the turn of events was fairly obvious to me from the very beginning (and I was waiting for Lila to slowly catch up), I still enjoyed the way it unfolded. There are some really tough topics that are included in this book, and I think the author took great care in the execution of it all.
There wasn’t anything wrong with this one, and I struggled with how to rate it because while I enjoyed the story, it felt like something was missing. I almost wish the romance wasn’t in it and that it fully leaned into the women’s fiction direction. I did still enjoy this one and think it was a very cozy read.
Note- closed door; Adoption, TTC (trying to conceive), and miscarriage are themes throughout the story. Release date: November 3, 2025.
Thank you so much to Savannah Carlisle and NetGalley for the gifted copy.
Want to wrap up in a warm Christmas Hug? Look no farther than Savannah Carlisle's Christmas at Pine Ridge Inn. This story is like being on scene of a Hallmark movie. The power of a mother's unconditional love for her children, the power of Christmas and love and magic, and some romance thrown in; all these themes are touched on and woven throughout this book in a way that will have you praising Savannah Carlisle, and her story telling. This book, brought me back to another Christmas story at a stable when there was no room at the inn around 2000 years ago. When the light of the World was b orn, and have shown us true love and grace. Thank you so much Savannah for a book that I am so thankful to have read. I loved the characters, the story, and the warmth of Christmas magic and love sprinkled throughout. It made me cry, love and laugh a little more - reminding me of how blessed I am as a mother with my own daughters. I loved this book and recommend it to everyone. Lila has recently lost her mother and faces her first Christmas alone. Instead of surrounding herself with festivities, she chooses solitude—and maybe a few answers. She’s always known she was adopted, but being a Christmas Day baby, she feels drawn to uncover her beginnings. Her only clue? A handmade baby blanket that leads her to the snowy town of Pine Ridge, Colorado.
Spending Christmas at Pine Ridge Inn is nothing like the quiet escape she planned. The guests are immersed in joyful traditions and community activities that Lila initially resists—but soon, she begins to open up. That sense of camaraderie, laughter, and shared moments becomes exactly what she needs.
Among those she meets is Brady, the inn’s down-to-earth (and incredibly charming) manager who seems to have his hands in everything—from repairs to making sure guests feel at home. His warmth and steady presence slowly break through Lila’s guarded heart.
Lila’s journey is both tender and emotional. She grapples with grief, identity, and the longing to belong. Yet through her time at Pine Ridge, she discovers that sometimes family isn’t about shared DNA—it’s about the people who show up for you when you least expect it. Her story unfolds like a perfectly wrapped Christmas gift: emotional, hopeful, and filled with quiet joy.
1. 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 • Sometimes, finding the right moment to ask a big question is the hardest part. But, you also have to put yourself out there if you want to find answers. Lila took her time and had me yelling at my Kindle for her to just ask already. I should’ve let my patience win over because her timing was impeccable. I loved the reactions from everyone.
2. 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐕𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐬 • As Savannah alludes to in her notes at the end, this one will have you feeling that Christmas Hallmark ambience. It was exactly what I envisioned as I read this cozy and charming story.
3. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 • I have no doubt that you will be on the lookout for your very own Pine Ridge Inn. Not only is the inn incredibly welcoming, the surrounding community is one in which you’d only be a stranger once. Dive in and find comfort in these pages.
4. 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 • Lila discovers that when you least expect it, you might just find people who become your lifeline for the rest of eternity. All of the guests become so close and I felt like I could’ve blended right in with them.
5. 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 • What an amazing story for Lila. I think it is obvious that at some point she was going to find out who her birth mother was. I liked that this mystery was surrounded by a love story with her and Jamie. She found her original family and her forever family.
