Two Amish Widows

Tillie never expected to face her pregnancy alone. Lucinda never expected to find herself pregnant, widowed, and homeless. Neither expected the other.

Now they share the same house.

Tillie runs on structure. Lucinda runs on instinct. The pantry is organized by Tuesday. By Thursday, it isn't. And somewhere between the chore charts and the sleepless nights, something unexpected begins to grow — not just between them, but next door, where two men find reasons to stop by more often than necessary.

Neither woman came here looking for love. But second chances have a way of arriving without asking permission.

A tender story of new beginnings, unlikely friendship, and the quiet courage it takes to open your heart twice.

Two Amish widows end up sharing a house as they wait for their babies to be born. Both of their husbands were killed together in a work accident. At first the two widows do not get along, but after a while they become fast friends. It was a quick read and enjoyable.

Two Amish Widows is a book you will truly enjoy.

When two young, pregnant widows end up at the same home, things become a tad crazy. Both ladies lost their husbands, who happened to be cousins, and now had to learn to share a home together.

Tillie and Lucinda have very different views on how things should be. Lucinda is rather lax in everything, while Tillie is more of an organizer. They have to learn to get along and work around each other in their home.

Tillie and Lucinda are examples of very strong women, who find themselves in a very difficult situation. They learn how to manage a large home and outdoor duties, between themselves. They show their strength in how they, eventually, work out conflicts amongst one another too. Throughot their story you hear how two ladies turn bad moments into good, while also, improving their own relationship.

You see how strength, beliefs, community, God, love, hope, communication, and team work come together for the good with people who are different at the start.

I hope you grab your copy and enjoy it as much as I did.

****I received an ARC of this book from Samantha Price, and all the words/opinions are all my own. The 5 star rating is the highest you can give, but deserves much higher, in my opinion.****

Two Amish Widows by Samantha Price will be released , March 18, 2026. This will be book 21 in the Expectant Amish Widows Series.

In her unique way, Ms. Price gives us a look into the life of Tillie and Lucinda, two pregnant widows of cousins that were killed in a construction accident.

We discover their story by way of a flashback telling of how two unlikely women learn to depend on and love one another. It shows how is never too late for second chances and how an unlikely duo can become friends. This flashback method to tell this story makes it more interesting. Also, the fact that She begins each chapter with a unique Bible verse just adds depth to the story.

This story is a 5-star book is a must for the lovers of Amish fiction.

I was given an ARC by the author, but was not required to give a positive review.

This, the second book in the Expectant Amish Widow series, is both entertaining and encouraging. To read how two very different women, thrown together seemingly by accident, learned to navigate the tests they would endure, inspires the reader to face his or her own difficulties in a new light, knowing that with determination and relinquishing one’s own way of doing things, challenges can become victories. A heartwarming story ❤️

Two pregnant widows lost and not knowing where to turn. Both were promised a home to help them get back on their feet. Unfortunately they were promised the same home.

A story of opposites. A story of compromise. I enjoyed how Tillie and Lucinda met and became friends. Lifelong friends.

Have you ever become friends with someone you didn't like at first? I can't say I ever did.

A cute story. I enjoyed how sweet it was. I guess that is one reason I love Samantha Price's books.

What a beautiful story of two pregnant widowed women whose lives are instantly thrown together as they learn to navigate being newly widowed, pregnant and living with each other. It is full of laughs and tears and you will not want to put it down until it’s finished. It is a wonderful reminder that in the midst of tragedy, God can bring joy and healing.
