When strangers show up for an event in Mooselick River, so does trouble.

Two men and a woman check into the Marlow Inn for the town library fundraiser, but only one checks out—and Everly Dupree is once again caught in the middle of a mystery that refuses to stay neatly on the page.

Between keeping the event on track and enjoying a visit from her favorite cousin, Nell Pemberton, Everly has her hands full. But nothing is ever easy in Mooselick River.

Before the event is over, the first of two bodies will fall, and Everly will need all of her wits (and maybe a little help from the other side) to keep the past from rewriting the future.

This is the 16th book in the Haunted Everly After Mystery series that you just can't put down. In this book, Everly Dupree is helping with the library fundraiser and she was tasked with valuing a book collection from an estate, for the library and her cousin, Nell has joined her to help. All was going well until she found a dead body behind the inn. But when no ghost shows up, Everly is puzzled since this is different to what she is used to. So Everly together with her cousin Nell feels have to investigate since he was a guest at the inn. And when a second body shows up, another guest, Everly is in the middle of it all. Can she save the fundraiser and find a murderer and figure out the secrets that someone doesn't want exposed. There is so much happening that you can't stop turning pages. Everly is a great protagonist and is very likeable and I can't wait to see what adventure she gets into next. I not only highly recommend this book but I highly recommend the entire series! I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Fun addition to the Haunted Everly After series by ReGina Welling & Erin Lynn.
When ghosts don’t act like they normally do.
Everly’s cousin, Nell, is in town to help categorize the book collection in a local’s estate.
Everly finds a body in the dumpster behind the Inn but no ghost, which is weird. Another guest at the Inn offers to help with the book collection work, he raises some questions for Everly.
Which ghosts will help with this investigation?
*I received this as an ARC reader and am leaving my unbiased review.

HAUNT PURSUIT was so much better than the last installment, which had featured Jacy as the lead. In fact, Jacy (and Everly’s other friends) largely took a backseat in this one.

In this one, Everly partners with her mother’s cousin, Nell, to help value a book collection after a local man’s death. Interestingly, that man isn’t the ghost that Everly encounters in HAUNT PURSUIT. And her ghostly interactions are atypical, too.

But these changes didn’t make for a boring installment. In fact, this one was better than the last few. And I loved the ending, with a fresh new direction.

This is another great read in the Haunted Everly After series. Everly is helping with the library fundraiser when she finds a dead body behind the inn. The troubling thing is there is no ghost! Everly sets out to solve the mystery and save the fundraiser. She is joined but a cast of characters, including Nell, who is helping to catalog some books. There is a mysterious guest who volunteers to help her. Is he friend or foe? I loved this book. It was fast-paced, engaging, and a wonderful addition to this continuing series.

A well put together, humourous, and entertaining mystery with a twisty plot and big surprises. I love the characters, they are vividly drawn and engaging. Everly is awesome, as always. I am delighted that her cousin Nell will get her own book: “Nell Page: Accidental Investigator.”

A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.

A bit of a change of pace for Everly Dupree. She's trying to solve the murders of a small time crook and a bookstore owner, but her cousin Nell seems to be doing the investigating. Everly wants to know what's driving book nerd Nell's interest. Everly and her friends take a small step into the background in this slightly offbeat cozy.

A Bibliophile’s Delight

There was the usual event in town but this one brought along new characters and a bookish crime that had strange effects on the resulting ghost and a resident ghost leaving Everly confused and concerned for family members but what else is new.
