"The Quran is the Word of Allah s.w.t and a gift we have been given that surpasses all gifts. When we reflect on the fact that Allah made us and guided us to Islam. He sent a Messenger s.a.w to put the Quran in action with his beautiful character." - The Quran Has it All by Haifaa Younis
Enlightening and illuminating, The Quran Has it All is a collection of discussions on the questions that we might have. What does the Quran say about death? Or marriage? Or having children? What about divorce? What about our emotions?
In this book, Dr Haifaa Younis clearly draws on the relevant verses of the Quran and hadith and relates them back to the universal questions that surround us in our daily lives. It is an opportunity for us to reflect on how Allah swt's infinite wisdom and guidance are our light, represented in the Quran to lead us back to the righteous path.
Every chapter is clear and succinct, every explanation is relatable and Dr Haifaa also shares some key points for us to reflect on as we learn about how the Quran provides the answers to the unending questions in this labyrinth we call life. Indeed, by reading and pondering this, we realise that the Quran does have it all.
love Dr. Haifa Younis’s lectures she is like your aunt/grandma that gives tough love wisdom, doesn’t sugarcoat things but tells you what you need to hear from a place of sincerity and love. and she has a podcast series with the same name as this. so in sha Allah i’ll listen to the lectures too and put my thoughts here and/or compare to the book.
This was overall a pretty good book that focused on how the Qur'an answers our tough questions in life. I wish however that there had been more focus on fewer topics. I found myself wanting more as I read each section.
