Hells Beach

Rate this book
I didn’t come to Hellier Beach looking for love.
I came here to disappear — to keep my daughter safe and start over far from the man who broke us.

Jameson, the detective who pulled us out, brought us to this quiet coastal town and swore it was safe.
Tommy, the Serpents’ vice president — all rough edges and blue-eyed mischief — surfs at dawn and rides at night, and somehow sees straight through the walls I’ve built.
Griffin, scarred and silent, the club’s shadow-hand, watches over us from the dark like he’s already decided we’re his to protect.

I told myself I’d never get tangled up in another man’s world.
Now there are three of them — the man who saved me, the outlaw who tempts me, and the protector who shadows me — and the danger I thought we’d left behind is starting to breathe down our necks again.

Hellier Beach was supposed to be our refuge.
Instead, it might be where I finally stop running… or where everything I love burns.

Hells Beach is a standalone why choose romance with a HEA set in the Sinnersverse world.

I was leaning towards a 3 - but rounded up.

I liked that this wasn't the typically RH. There wasn't an established group a guys, 2 of the 3 did know each other beforehand. But they weren't already shacked up and were sharing women in the past. There is No MM (unfortunately).
I liked that this was more blue collar vibes - they weren't all super rich guys. Like the 3way CEO's of the same company trope... that's just weird. They were all different in their own ways and had to figure out how things were going to work.

I didn't like that it started to drag out and there were just some things that didn't make sense or that I couldn't really visualize. Maybe I should've read the the other books first, the author mentioned on FB that it wasn't necessary, but I wish I had. There is definitely some cross over between characters.
At first I thought this was small town, but maybe not.. It's big enough for 2 biker gangs, but she can walk everywhere... but then you've got this tiny cottage that's ocean front(?) while you also have some big(?) clubhouse smack dab in the middle of street 2 doors down...in a ocean front residential area where no one seems to complain about it, because you never hear a peep about anyone else on the street. I had a really hard time visualizing the town/city? and the street they lived on and it really bothered me haha.

Sometimes things were repeated a little much during the spicy scenes.. You wore this dress / you showed them what's mine like 8x.

But I still gave it 4 because it didn't have the 3 things I despise.. 3rd act breakup / miscommunication trope / bullying. I want the bad boys, but they better worship their woman.
Aaaand when there are 3 dudes going in raw daily, there better be a baby at some point.. even if its just in the epilogue - so bonus point for that too.

This was for sure the most intense book in the series so far. I was torn between the happy and upbeat feeling of some parts and the tense and brooding feel of the rest. The dichotomy was one of my favourite aspects in the book. I liked the story as well and the characters are interesting. I wondered what Tommy‘s story would be like, when he was introduced in Katarina‘s book. 5 stars.
