Between Blood and Gods: The Night Blood (Between the Shadows Book 6) absolutely blew me away. As the final book in the series, it delivers the perfect, satisfying conclusion and wraps up the story in a way that left me completely thrilled.
Draugr vampire Rolf of the Night Blood keeps hearing their patron goddess warning that the great “Darkness that Comes” is near and everything could end. To stop it, he’s sent on a quest to retrieve the final piece of a powerful weapon—the last Bloode Stone. The problem? He has to work with the most dangerous and infuriating partner imaginable: the valkyrie Sylvara Valfreyja… who seems perfectly willing to kill him if he gives her the slightest excuse.
As Rolf and Sylvara search for the final stone—one capable of controlling the entire vampire nation—they face relentless danger from gods, demons, and rival valkyries. Nothing about their mission is simple, and the tension between them makes it even better. Rolf - funny, handsome, smart alec, powerful - at least in his opinion. Sylvana is deadly, dangerous, wields a war-hammer and threatens to kill him every chance she gets. And he thinks that is the hottest aphrodisiac of all.
But when the gods play games, immortals are but pawns in the larger tapestry of destiny. This is the final entry in the Night Bloode series and while it is written as a stand-alone, all of the main characters from the previous stories are present and play a part in the ultimate conclusion. Prior reading is recommended but not absolutely necessary.

Great Finale
This is a really great book full of adventure, snarky characters, and a lot of lore. I looked forward to this book and it did not disappoint. A great finish to this series. I can’t wait to see what’s next in the between the shadows world.
