Body Language II

Rate this book
I thought walking away from Kendrix would save us both. Instead, it shattered me.

After attacking the man who destroyed my mother’s life. I disappeared to protect the only family I had left. But even as I tried to rebuild myself from the wreckage, his love lingered like a ghost, pulling me back toward the one man I swore I could never have again.

But no matter how far I ran, he saw me everywhere.

As our secrets unravel and our scars resurface, we’re forced to face the love can’t erase trauma, but can it survive it? Are we willing to fight for each other harder than the world fights to pull us apart?

This is a story about breaking cycles, healing wounds, and choosing love after chaos. Because sometimes the loudest declarations of love aren’t spoken… they’re felt.

Finally Love

We picked right up after that crazy cliff hanger. Niv snapped and she blamed Kendrick's dad for the struggles her mother has put her through. Her blame was clearly misplaced and once she learned her mother's full story, she realized it was deeply misplaced. I still wonder what he was doing down in Gun Hill, but he seems to be taking that to the grave. Niv was everyone's care taker, and with Kendrick she got to be in her soft girl era, she got to be taken care of. Most of the book she tries to stay away from him, not wanting him to have to choose. Their connection though, their love was too real, too potent to sever. I was so glad when she stopped fighting it and she stepped into the woman she knew she was. I love how her being an exotic dancer didn't over shadow who she was as a human, as a woman, as a business woman. Niv shed so many tears in this book, I'm glad it ended with her happy.

I'm eager to get to the next book though because Khloe has had enough and I feel like she is about to bring Kairo to his knees. I also hope Ms. Kennedi found some business not including Huxley 💁🏾‍♀️

This was a solid read.

I initially thought the cliffhanger was unnecessary, but now I understand why we needed a second book. I believe this book offered Niveah the closure and healing she needed. I like a man who will stand by his woman. Kendrix was in a sticky position, but the heart wants what it wants.

I'm peeping the breadcrumbs with the side characters. What's going on with Khloe and Kairo? So we just gonna ignore Huxley and Kennedi? Kordai and that mystery women from the club?

Baby, hand me Khole’s book RIGHT NOW. I can feel it in my soul Stacks is about to have my girl completely gone off the dixk. Drop it. Hand it over. We are ready for the heartbreak, the heat, and the drama all of it. Don’t make me beg!”

This story was so good and powerful. I had my own preconceived ideas of how the story was going to go. You defied what those preconceived notions and wrote a very real story. It’s tragic on some parts and beautiful in others. Your created the perfect formula. Congratulations on this masterpiece.

I’m glad all the secrets were exposed and Niv was able to repair the relationship with her mom. Kendrick wasn’t letting his girl go for anyone and even though I was side eyeing his mama, I ended up liking her at the end. Now I have to get into Kario and Khloe’s drama and are we getting a book about Huxley?? Because what does he and Kennedi got going on…

4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ .5 stars!! This story jumps right back into the drama, and from there, it’s basically Niv and Kendrix trying to figure out love while everything around them is falling apart. It’s emotional, messy, and full of that love you swear you’re done with but somehow still feel.

There’s family tension, old wounds popping back up, and moments where you can see how easy it is to lose yourself trying to keep everyone else happy. Overall, it’s a quick, heartfelt continuation about healing, growing, and trying to choose love without losing yourself in the process.

No Justice, No Piece

You’ve been warned again: “Body Language II (Mind, Body & Soul) - Book 3” (4.25⭐️’s) author Ms. Netra Antionette, is a beast soul snatcher👀🧐🤯‼️This “Body Count (Mind, Body & Soul)” ain’t another one just like the last one series contributions. Nope 🙂‍↔️‼️ Stay alert, attentive & objective at all provocations. Meanwhile, although Kendrick & Niveah were both a pain in the posterior, I grew to respect & appreciate her character, motivation & her character’s representation throughout the book. More so, Niveah became a symbol of self empowerment & self imposed modern feminist for her image, safety & her family…no justice, no piece👀🥴🤔🤭‼️Everything of this world cost somebody something 🤔‼️Unfortunately for some, qualified impunity & implied quantified constraints expire eventually. Recollection, revenge & restitution are serendipitously prevalent🫣😬‼️Don’t hate the playah, hate the game. Meanwhile, Checkmate (or check on your mate), again♟️🤷🏾‍♀️‼️

Now y'all know I love everything Netra drops!!

From the very first chapter, this story feels like stepping directly into a woman’s ribcage- all pulse, memory, and open wounds. Niveah isn’t hiding behind strength here; she’s stripped down to her truth, forced to confront the parts of herself she tucked away just to keep functioning. This is not a pretty romance draped in flowers...it is a reckoning, a reclamation, and a woman relearning herself from the inside out.

This follow-up isn’t about survival anymore, it’s about resurrection. Netra lets us witness Niveah unravel and rebuild without disguising how messy that process really is. She isn’t perfect, and she doesn’t try to be. She holds herself accountable, even when doing so means standing face-to-face with the pain she inherited, absorbed, and never spoke aloud. Watching her wrestle with her own reflection is gutting, but it’s also liberating.

The Givelle household remains a dynasty in its own right, but Mama G is the axis everything spins around. She moves with the kind of power that requires no announcement, her presence alone commands reverence. You understand immediately how the men in that family were shaped: by elegance paired with backbone, by dignity wrapped in quiet discipline.

Then there’s Kendrix, unraveling in slow motion without the woman who steadied him. His longing is visceral, constant, carved into every choice he makes. He is the portrait of a man unashamed of wanting his person back. No grandstanding, no theatrics, just unwavering devotion and soul-deep attachment. You feel every bit of his ache.

The emotional tipping point arrives through honesty...the kind that doesn’t comfort but exposes. When the truths finally surface, Niveah isn’t just reacting...she’s transforming. The revelations don’t break her; they peel her open so healing can finally reach the parts she spent years guarding. That moment shifts the entire spirit of the story.

And that ending? It lands like release- not a bowtie, not a performance, but an earned exhale. What makes this book unforgettable isn’t the romance alone but the restoration that comes with it...the rebuilding of a woman who thought she had to stay hardened to stay afloat.

This sequel is layered, emotional, unflinching, and stunningly human. Netra didn’t just close a chapter; she completed an arc of becoming.

A beautiful, soul-deep continuation of a journey that demanded blood, truth, and finally softness.

Body Language II
Netra Antionette

Let me start by saying, I love what Niv stands for. Even though she accost the love of her life’s father, she stands on the ramifications of her actions. It’s ironic how the wounds of a mother will guide the trajectory of her daughter. We all know that Niv has been through it.

In part two, Netra reveals an even more intimate version of Niv. She is a woman of her word so, she does her best to adhere to the promises she makes. These promises put her in a position outside of her norm.

Now let’s take a brief intermission from Niv’s predicament and address the Givelle family. Mama G is the true OG. She’s elegant and regal without trying too hard. She exhibits the level of grace and wisdom that can’t be taught. I fully understand why her husband and children revere her. She’s not to be played with.

With the new turning of events, Kendrix is down bad. When I say bad, baby I mean bad. He misses Niv something crazy. He can’t shake the vibe that they’ve built. Y’all know I love a man that ain’t a quitter. With two hearts so in sync even hell’s fire can’t keep them from longing for one another.

Niv and Heaven’s relationship reach a new level of intimacy, when Heaven reveals a few truths. I won’t lie. This part had me in my feelings. Can we say tears? These new revelations crack Niv right open. The truth provides the path of much needed understanding.

Thank you Netra Antionette for the ARC.

Now THIS is how you spin the block on a sequel! Because listen, after the chaos and heartbreak Netra left us with at the end of Book 1, I was perched and ready for the comeback and baybee she delivered.

From page one to the last line, this story gave everything: pain, healing, accountability, and love that don’t just whisper... it speaks loudly. And I’m gonna say it Kendrix was HIM.

The way this man showed up emotionally? Whew. He wore his heart on his sleeve with no shame. The way he poured into Niveah, reminded her that softness and vulnerability are not weaknesses, and stayed ten toes down for her healing? We love a man that leads with love. 🙌🏾

And shoutout to Niveah too! Watching her peel back those layers and begin to receive love not just feel it, but accept it was so powerful. She learned that real love isn’t perfect, but it’s worth every single growing pain when it’s rooted in truth and intention.

The writing was smooth, the connection between characters felt earned, and that ending??? Now why would Netra do us like that??? 😭 Khloe and Kairo, baby... what y’all got going on? Because now I need answers!

If you haven’t already go read this entire trilogy. Then come join the rest of us in the group chat screaming about what comes next.

Listen this wasn’t just romance. This was we gone heal or crash out trying energy from beginning to end. 😭

Niv and Kendrix loved each other through CHAOS. Attempted murder, manipulation, secrets, trauma and somehow the love never stopped breathing. Even when they were apart, you could feel them pulling toward each other like magnets wrapped in pain.

What hit me the hardest was Niv finally realizing she deserved softness too. Not survival. Not hustling. Not carrying everybody else’s weight. Just love. Pure, intentional, safe love. 🗣️Kendrix BABY !!!! That man never stopped showing up for her emotionally, mentally, physically. A good man down to the bone.

Lowkey, Sincere was a real one. Their relationship may have seemed unconventional but he was solid. He taught Niv how to move, protected her in his own way and genuinely wanted better for her. That kind of care matters. Was he digging her guts out yes but not all the time...balance friend balance.

This book felt raw. Like peeling layers off old wounds and realizing healing ain’t pretty but it’s necessary. Netra wrote this one with heart, soul and emotional whiplash because whew my chest still tight.

I love thisssss… I just need moreee

Y’allllllll, okay so after BL1 ended, clearly I needed this book to wrap it up. I’m glad Nivs momma is finally getting the help she needs and told Niv about what happened to her. Too often we sweep shiii under the rug & just have to “deal with it”, no one ever tells us how to “deal with it” tho. So I can’t be too upset she turned to the drvgs to numb that pain, she just gotta tighten up now. I love Niv & Sins friendship, unorthodox? Yeah. But it was still real love. I’m excited to see if him & magnolia get a book. I also cannot WAIT for Khloes book. I hope she make that man chest cave in!!!! I want her turned every way BUT LOOSE. Pretzel my good sis. Put her whole body in his mouth. Put her through the mattress so good my sis spend the night over by that man & has her husband at home WONDERING!!!! I. WANT. HIM. SICKKKKKK!!!! I want her husband BEGGING her to stop. Whewww. Let me be done with this review, I’ve got my blood pressure rising 😅😅

The way part 1 ended I couldn't wait to get into this one. part 2 picks up right where part 1 ended, and the yearning/ emotions in this one, whew!! Netra Antoinette you wrote the heck out of this one. There were some tough decisions that Niveah had to make, while also dealing with everything that transpired at the end of part 1. This story really shows that sometimes we place blame, without actually knowing the full story/context of certain situations. I love the fact that through it all, Kendrix just wanted to work through it all with Niveah, the yearning and the way he continuously showed up was admirable. The way he made her feel safe and allow her to slowly heal. Niv having had to carry so much since a young age, deserved someone like Kendrix who is going to allow her to be soft and give up some of that control. There were some plot twists that I didn't see coming. This one was definitely about healing and moving on and I loved every minute of it. I can't wait to start the next book in the series.

Another oneeee.... now although I thought that the cliff hanger was extremely disrespectful. I see that it was definitely needed, this book came in with a different tone a softer tone and it belonged to Niv. I see both sides I see her anger and i see that her blame was misplaced. Now while I was originally A Hendrix dad hater, the fact that he never explained his point of view. I found myself asking that question out loud why have we not saw his pov, what really happened which made me also place blame on him. But after hearing Niv's moms side of her pain and the fact that they were able to both find solace in everything they had been through because the world was so unfair to the both... omg my heart! But hold on lets get into Mr. Yearner Hendrix, baby that man was hungry in the worst way for my girl, omg. Because idk how they came back from Niv stabbing that man... couldnttttt be me but omg this book was all about forgiveness and Niv needed this so badddddd. Im already reading the next book wonder what Netra got up her sleeve

ARC Review

After the way book 1 ended, I could not wait to see how everything was going to pan out. Niv had big decisions to make in this one that had her fighting with her head and her heart. On the other side we had Kendrix who was going through his own battles trying to respect his family but also still wanting to be with Niv. There was a lot of push and pull and yearning with these two characters but in addition to that, there was truths revealed, forgiveness, and healing.

Niv went through a lot in this book and there were times where she was down and didn't think she was going to be able to get back up but Kendrix being the man that he is fought and spoke life into her to remind her just who she was and I loved that about him. Through it all the drama, Netra found a way to give us a great ending and the closure that we wanted. Khloe and Kairo had something brewing in this one too and I am curious to see where that situation is going to go.

Niveah and Kendrix

This book really highlights how easily women can lose themselves in love and relationships. All the rules she set for herself back in book one seemed to vanish, even though she held both Kendrick and her future in her hands. I didn’t care for how her mother tried to manipulate the situation, especially when she had someone like Sincere in her corner who would’ve gone to bat for her without hesitation. The heart-to-heart between Niveah and her mother was a beautiful moment it showed how hurt people hurt people, and how her mother was trying to escape her own pain, just as Niveah used dance to cope with her trauma. Kendrick, having already experienced love and loss, fought tooth and nail for Niveah, and I loved that for her. But Kairo? I feel like there are still so many secrets surrounding him. I’m not sure how many books will be in this series, but I’m definitely excited to see what comes next.

Okay so apparently I read this book thinking it was book 2 but it was book 3

This book tugged a my heart strings damn near thee entire book!

But Niv got on my nerves with the misplaced blame. If she couldve really reflected there wouldn’t be so many issues. But this is what happens when you have to be everything and raise your siblings as your own.

I do wanna know how much she making as a dancer b/c she got a whole ass nanny for her sister and her brother is in private school!

I appreciated how Kendrick was cool w/Niv being a dancer and not once eve had anything slick to say.

Now there were some parts of the book that I felt were mentioned and not addressed at all, like Kendrick losing kids…it was like a blurb and never addressed again! That was disappointing. (Tho was because I read the books outta order) all questions have been answered!

I wanna read about the Open relationship…is there another book? UPDATE- Yes…the author said in March!

Babyyyy when I tell you this book had me crying, I mean full on bawling—but in the best way lol. Niveah carried the weight of the world on her shoulders her whole life, and watching her finally choose herself had me cheering her on. The heart-to-hearts. Whew. And those moments of clarity when the truth came out… chile, it’s wild when you realize the grown folks you looked up to weren’t who you thought they were. You start seeing them not just as parents but as people flaws and all.

And then there’s Kendrix. He poured into Niveah every step of the way. No matter what storms came their way, he still chose her. The way their story wrapped up was so beautiful. This ending was everything and more, the perfect close to an amazing journey.

Kendrix and Niveah, Our Love is Survival

Ohhh, this book was good and definitely left me wanting more!!!…
I was so happy that Kendrix and Niveah found their way back to each other!!!…
Sincere spk so much truth into Niveah and I expected nothing less than for her to have the conversation with Kendrix and her mother!!!…
Momma G was a force to reckon with and she never missed a beat when she was correcting all the men in her life!!!…
Kairo irked me and I can’t wait to see what Khloe has up her sleeve since Kairo opened Pandora’s box!!!…Although it sounds good, I’m guessing it’s not going to go as she planned it!!!…
Magnolia was just the sprinkle this story needed and she kept ppl on their toes with that southern accent and charm!!!…

Okay dennnnnnn Ms.Antionette! you did not come to play with this one. Niveah...*sigh* I saw so much of me in her i had to highlight some quotes. This story was beautifully written. I loved her mans father. The fact he held the truth and was trying to help her mother....or how bout his son/niveahs man was more like his dad then he thought. I loved how he helped had a relationship with all niveahs siblings. It was refreshing to read a book with more intimacy than see scenes. Speaking of sex....im ready for the next book cause sis who been with hubby since she 18 got a free pass. I hope she has a good ol hot girl summer lol

Netra girl, you know you played us giving the cliffhanger at the end of Body Language but i’m not mad at you anymore because we got yet another beautiful story.
Amazing writing and story telling! She really broke us, broke us some more, put us back together, and got us excited for MAYBE more. This was so much more than dancing, it’s emotional, it’s traumatic, and you can truly feel the emotions of the characters.
Niveah and Kendrix is the true definition of love, nothing is going to keep them apart. I was so glad to see everything play out the way it did.

Now I know Khloe story is coming & I will be SAT and ready. You just let me know when to expect it 🙃

I was disappointed by how things ended. The cliffhanger from the first book ended up just being stupid basically with how things came out. In no universe would the couple still be together in real life after what she did.

This series was also too messy for me in regard to the FMC & MMC having sexual relations with others and the FMC having an emotional bond with that other person as well.

The huge decision the FMC made was never disclosed to the MMC (even though his mother found out and promised to keep it secret) and I hated that after the losses he had previously experienced. That feels deceptive to not have disclosed it.

when i read that cliffhanger in part one i just immediately knew that the way Kendrix was so in love with Niveah that nothing would shake him. and i stand corrected!! KEN LOVES MY GIRL DOWNNNNN.

the two of them cannot deny the chemistry, the love, the passion they have for eachother is undeniable.

i knew it it only be a matter of time before they gave into eachother.

now this book made me more curious about two new characters. SINCERE and Kens trifling brother, I forget his name.
YEAH I NEED THOSE TWO BOOKS ASAP.

The Sacrifice

Niv and Kendrix have hidden pain because it’s not really a secret in my opinion. Our experiences shape who we are and essentially shape how we respond to different things. Body Language II continues where Body Language I left off and the rollercoaster of emotions you will feel in this story may require breaks. How can you love someone yet hate them because you hate where they come from? How do you balance the love that you want and the sacrifice you agreed to? Netra took me on a ride and I want more of Niveah but I know it’s time for Khloe.

Healing Language

This was the healing phase for Niv. Things between her and Ken got a little too repetitive but I enjoyed the forward momentum with her and her mom. Heaven had been through things that Niv needed to heal from, so that was beautiful to read. Also, the Givelle's are really loving people with integrity; they just do what they have to for the ones they love. Overall, good read. Happy ending of course. But can get a book on Khloe and Kairo?! That seem like something we need! 😂

The story picks up with a heartbreak that cuts deep. After she walks away from Kendrix, thinking distance will save them, all it does is break her in new ways. Even as she hides to protect her family, his love follows her like a truth she can’t outrun. Book two dives deeper into their trauma, healing, and the kind of love that sees you even when you don’t want to be seen. Their scars resurface, their secrets unravel, and they’re forced to decide if love can survive what broke them. A powerful continuation about breaking cycles, choosing each other after chaos, and letting love speak when words fail.

My body all over your body baby!

Netra Antoinette continues to tie this series together beautifully. Kendrix and Niv have an undeniable connection and the powers that be continue attempting to place a wedge between them. But …love. Love is a powerful force and Kendrix is committed to showing Niv it and they can conquer all… together and in a language that’s all their own

I look forward the continuation of all characters and hope Khloe and Kairo are up next!

Emotional

I love how they went through everything to get back to him. It took them to let life experiences to build and grow their true love.
It is not easy to get through what they went through. It took a fight to find what they truly needed. I am glad love won.
I enjoyed the second half.
