I thought walking away from Kendrix would save us both. Instead, it shattered me.

After attacking the man who destroyed my mother’s life. I disappeared to protect the only family I had left. But even as I tried to rebuild myself from the wreckage, his love lingered like a ghost, pulling me back toward the one man I swore I could never have again.

But no matter how far I ran, he saw me everywhere.

As our secrets unravel and our scars resurface, we’re forced to face the love can’t erase trauma, but can it survive it? Are we willing to fight for each other harder than the world fights to pull us apart?

This is a story about breaking cycles, healing wounds, and choosing love after chaos. Because sometimes the loudest declarations of love aren’t spoken… they’re felt.

I initially thought the cliffhanger was unnecessary, but now I understand why we needed a second book. I believe this book offered Niveah the closure and healing she needed. I like a man who will stand by his woman. Kendrix was in a sticky position, but the heart wants what it wants.

I'm peeping the breadcrumbs with the side characters. What's going on with Khloe and Kairo? So we just gonna ignore Huxley and Kennedi? Kordai and that mystery women from the club?

Baby, hand me Khole’s book RIGHT NOW. I can feel it in my soul Stacks is about to have my girl completely gone off the dixk. I just know this man gon’ ruin her peace and she gon’ thank him for it. 😭🔥 NETRA, stop playing with us, I know Khole’s story is finished. You’ve been too quiet, which means you cooking up chaos. Drop it. Hand it over. We are ready for the heartbreak, the heat, and the drama all of it. Don’t make me beg!”

This story was so good and powerful. I had my own preconceived ideas of how the story was going to go. You defied what those preconceived notions and wrote a very real story. It’s tragic on some parts and beautiful in others. Your created the perfect formula. Congratulations on this masterpiece.

Now y'all know I love everything Netra drops!!

From the very first chapter, this story feels like stepping directly into a woman’s ribcage- all pulse, memory, and open wounds. Niveah isn’t hiding behind strength here; she’s stripped down to her truth, forced to confront the parts of herself she tucked away just to keep functioning. This is not a pretty romance draped in flowers...it is a reckoning, a reclamation, and a woman relearning herself from the inside out.

This follow-up isn’t about survival anymore, it’s about resurrection. Netra lets us witness Niveah unravel and rebuild without disguising how messy that process really is. She isn’t perfect, and she doesn’t try to be. She holds herself accountable, even when doing so means standing face-to-face with the pain she inherited, absorbed, and never spoke aloud. Watching her wrestle with her own reflection is gutting, but it’s also liberating.

The Givelle household remains a dynasty in its own right, but Mama G is the axis everything spins around. She moves with the kind of power that requires no announcement, her presence alone commands reverence. You understand immediately how the men in that family were shaped: by elegance paired with backbone, by dignity wrapped in quiet discipline.

Then there’s Kendrix, unraveling in slow motion without the woman who steadied him. His longing is visceral, constant, carved into every choice he makes. He is the portrait of a man unashamed of wanting his person back. No grandstanding, no theatrics, just unwavering devotion and soul-deep attachment. You feel every bit of his ache.

The emotional tipping point arrives through honesty...the kind that doesn’t comfort but exposes. When the truths finally surface, Niveah isn’t just reacting...she’s transforming. The revelations don’t break her; they peel her open so healing can finally reach the parts she spent years guarding. That moment shifts the entire spirit of the story.

And that ending? It lands like release- not a bowtie, not a performance, but an earned exhale. What makes this book unforgettable isn’t the romance alone but the restoration that comes with it...the rebuilding of a woman who thought she had to stay hardened to stay afloat.

This sequel is layered, emotional, unflinching, and stunningly human. Netra didn’t just close a chapter; she completed an arc of becoming.

A beautiful, soul-deep continuation of a journey that demanded blood, truth, and finally softness.

Netra Antionette

Let me start by saying, I love what Niv stands for. Even though she accost the love of her life’s father, she stands on the ramifications of her actions. It’s ironic how the wounds of a mother will guide the trajectory of her daughter. We all know that Niv has been through it.

In part two, Netra reveals an even more intimate version of Niv. She is a woman of her word so, she does her best to adhere to the promises she makes. These promises put her in a position outside of her norm.

Now let’s take a brief intermission from Niv’s predicament and address the Givelle family. Mama G is the true OG. She’s elegant and regal without trying too hard. She exhibits the level of grace and wisdom that can’t be taught. I fully understand why her husband and children revere her. She’s not to be played with.

With the new turning of events, Kendrix is down bad. When I say bad, baby I mean bad. He misses Niv something crazy. He can’t shake the vibe that they’ve built. Y’all know I love a man that ain’t a quitter. With two hearts so in sync even hell’s fire can’t keep them from longing for one another.

Niv and Heaven’s relationship reach a new level of intimacy, when Heaven reveals a few truths. I won’t lie. This part had me in my feelings. Can we say tears? These new revelations crack Niv right open. The truth provides the path of much needed understanding.

Thank you Netra Antionette for the ARC.

Now THIS is how you spin the block on a sequel! Because listen, after the chaos and heartbreak Netra left us with at the end of Book 1, I was perched and ready for the comeback and baybee she delivered.

From page one to the last line, this story gave everything: pain, healing, accountability, and love that don’t just whisper... it speaks loudly. And I’m gonna say it Kendrix was HIM.

The way this man showed up emotionally? Whew. He wore his heart on his sleeve with no shame. The way he poured into Niveah, reminded her that softness and vulnerability are not weaknesses, and stayed ten toes down for her healing? We love a man that leads with love. 🙌🏾

And shoutout to Niveah too! Watching her peel back those layers and begin to receive love not just feel it, but accept it was so powerful. She learned that real love isn’t perfect, but it’s worth every single growing pain when it’s rooted in truth and intention.

The writing was smooth, the connection between characters felt earned, and that ending??? Now why would Netra do us like that??? 😭 Khloe and Kairo, baby... what y’all got going on? Because now I need answers!

If you haven’t already go read this entire trilogy. Then come join the rest of us in the group chat screaming about what comes next.

ARC Review

After the way book 1 ended, I could not wait to see how everything was going to pan out. Niv had big decisions to make in this one that had her fighting with her head and her heart. On the other side we had Kendrix who was going through his own battles trying to respect his family but also still wanting to be with Niv. There was a lot of push and pull and yearning with these two characters but in addition to that, there was truths revealed, forgiveness, and healing.

Niv went through a lot in this book and there were times where she was down and didn't think she was going to be able to get back up but Kendrix being the man that he is fought and spoke life into her to remind her just who she was and I loved that about him. Through it all the drama, Netra found a way to give us a great ending and the closure that we wanted. Khloe and Kairo had something brewing in this one too and I am curious to see where that situation is going to go.

Niveah and Kendrix

This book really highlights how easily women can lose themselves in love and relationships. All the rules she set for herself back in book one seemed to vanish, even though she held both Kendrick and her future in her hands. I didn’t care for how her mother tried to manipulate the situation, especially when she had someone like Sincere in her corner who would’ve gone to bat for her without hesitation. The heart-to-heart between Niveah and her mother was a beautiful moment it showed how hurt people hurt people, and how her mother was trying to escape her own pain, just as Niveah used dance to cope with her trauma. Kendrick, having already experienced love and loss, fought tooth and nail for Niveah, and I loved that for her. But Kairo? I feel like there are still so many secrets surrounding him. I’m not sure how many books will be in this series, but I’m definitely excited to see what comes next.

Babyyyy when I tell you this book had me crying, I mean full on bawling—but in the best way lol. Niveah carried the weight of the world on her shoulders her whole life, and watching her finally choose herself had me cheering her on. The heart-to-hearts. Whew. And those moments of clarity when the truth came out… chile, it’s wild when you realize the grown folks you looked up to weren’t who you thought they were. You start seeing them not just as parents but as people flaws and all.

And then there’s Kendrix. He poured into Niveah every step of the way. No matter what storms came their way, he still chose her. The way their story wrapped up was so beautiful. This ending was everything and more, the perfect close to an amazing journey.

Okay dennnnnnn Ms.Antionette! you did not come to play with this one. Niveah...*sigh* I saw so much of me in her i had to highlight some quotes. This story was beautifully written. I loved her mans father. The fact he held the truth and was trying to help her mother....or how bout his son/niveahs man was more like his dad then he thought. I loved how he helped had a relationship with all niveahs siblings. It was refreshing to read a book with more intimacy than see scenes. Speaking of sex....im ready for the next book cause sis who been with hubby since she 18 got a free pass. I hope she has a good ol hot girl summer lol

The story picks up with a heartbreak that cuts deep. After she walks away from Kendrix, thinking distance will save them, all it does is break her in new ways. Even as she hides to protect her family, his love follows her like a truth she can’t outrun. Book two dives deeper into their trauma, healing, and the kind of love that sees you even when you don’t want to be seen. Their scars resurface, their secrets unravel, and they’re forced to decide if love can survive what broke them. A powerful continuation about breaking cycles, choosing each other after chaos, and letting love speak when words fail.

My body all over your body baby!

Netra Antoinette continues to tie this series together beautifully. Kendrix and Niv have an undeniable connection and the powers that be continue attempting to place a wedge between them. But …love. Love is a powerful force and Kendrix is committed to showing Niv it and they can conquer all… together and in a language that’s all their own

I look forward the continuation of all characters and hope Khloe and Kairo are up next!

Emotional

I love how they went through everything to get back to him. It took them to let life experiences to build and grow their true love.
It is not easy to get through what they went through. It took a fight to find what they truly needed. I am glad love won.
I enjoyed the second half.

This book wrapped the first part up perfectly! I enjoyed seeing Niveah more vulnerable and showing emotion. Because the strong gets weak too at times. Her and Kendrix love and relationship faced the ultimate battle. And it’s was hard to witness. From page one it grasped my attentions and held it til the very last page. I can’t wait for the next book in the Givelle series. Cause Kairo has played with Kylie’s feelings long enough. I hope she breaks his ass down.

So much trauma in this book, so be warned. I really enjoyed this book and the ending to Niveah’s story. I can’t wait to read Rivah’s story in book one and eventually Khloe’s story whenever Netra releases it. I wouldn’t mind buying the physical copy of body language 1 & 2 if it was combined into one book.

This was truly art in raw form

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|🌶️🌶️
This was definitely worth the cliffhanger from the last book. The groveling and deep love was so beautiful to read. Kendrix stood ten toes down behind Niveah. The conclusion of this story was done so well and written deeply that you truly felt the characters emotions.

Read now because this book was amazing! 💖

Took me threw it!

After that cliff hanger I didn’t know what to expect. There were times I wanted to lay hands on Niv for playing in Kendrix face. However, I’m glad things worked out the way that it did.

Steamy , soulful, and emotionally rich. Niv and Kendrick’s connection felt destined, like two souls that kept finding their way back to one another no matter the odds. Their chemistry was magnetic, but what stood out most was the depth of their love. Their love grew to be patient, healing, and mature.

Netra Antionette delivered a finale that perfectly balanced passion with growth. This book wrapped up beautifully while still leaving me with that bittersweet ache of saying goodbye to characters I’ve grown to love.

Was traumatizing…. But I enjoyed it. I feel like there was a big difference between the couple we met in body count was not the couple we got in this book. I think this book should have been first but everything was wrapped up

10 out of 10. I’m curious to see what Khloe gets into with this open marriage. I can’t wait to read about Stacks. I hope she ready for this. Hopefully Kario gets it together. If not at least Khloe is getting what she needs.
