I was lucky enough to obtain a copy prior to release.. it helps when you are the authors hairstylist;) This book is directly to the point. No repetitiveness, no fluff. It’s raw and real. I truly think had I read this book years ago, I would have 100% stepped down from being Manager at my old Salon. I would have started saying “No” sooner. And I would have channeled my anger towards life appropriately. I’m currently so happy with life and my career path, that this book actually helped me reflect on my decisions, and how I did in fact make the right call 2 years ago to open my own salon. I actually felt a sigh of relief after reading certain parts of the book. Basically confirming things I already know.

Even though Becca isn’t my coach, she has in ways coached me without me realizing it through our conversations at the salon. There were moments of feeling Deja vu as I was reading certain questions/prompts. She is incredibly thoughtful and caring (and the coolest Mom)I know readers will take away so much from this book. And if you’re looking for a coach, I highly recommend.

This book is a true reflection of Becca: direct, honest and thought provoking. Her advice is practical and it will resonate with you even if you are considering a small change in your life. Her writing style makes you feel like you are sitting next to her on a couch having a cup of coffee. You will eagerly be waiting for her next story.

I particularly liked the section on core values. This is a great exercise for anyone.

A powerful, perspective-shifting read.

Becca Pearce delivers a message every high achiever needs to hear: your worth was never meant to be measured by your achievements. You Don’t Have to Achieve to Be Loved is raw, honest, and deeply human—inviting readers to pause, reflect, and finally exhale.

Becca’s vulnerability and wisdom make this book more than just thought-provoking—it’s transformative. Through her story and the exercises she shares, I found myself reimagining my business, redefining success on my own terms, and reconnecting with what truly makes me happy.

This is the book I didn’t know I was waiting for, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone ready to step off the hamster wheel of achievement and rediscover their sense of self.

You Don’t Need To Achieve to Be Loved is the message so many high-achieving women need but rarely give themselves permission to hear. This book gently but powerfully dismantles the lie that our worth is tied to performance or perfection.

With warmth and clarity, Becca invites you to slow down and reconnect with who you are beneath the striving. This is a
beautiful, freeing read that stays with you long after the last page.

Super! (thé book and the person)

I have made major changes in my life several times and believe that Becca’s book has laid out the progression of major steps very well.

In addition, I have had the pleasure of engaging with Becca during part of her post-surgery athletic journey. From that experience I’m sure that she has the ability to accomplish anything to which she sets her mind in both a caring and brave manner!
