Oh my lord, Theo and Wrenly’s story was pure and utter perfection.
There pasts are fraught with such agonising trauma, but in a sea of people, when their eyes connect, they are instantly drawn to each other. From the moment they meet, when he comes to her defence, it is pretty clear that there paths were destined to cross.
Theo and Wrenly’s attraction to each other is deniable. But they’re both harbouring secrets that could tear each other apart. All Theo wants to do is keep her safe and all Wrenly wants to do is fall into the darkness, because on some level there darkness speaks to each other, and all Wrenly wants to do is feel and when they finally give into there need for each other, there claiming both passionate and primal, does Theo lay his claim to Wrenly.
But secrets have a way of coming to the surface. Wrenly’s brother Gage is not happy of her involvement with Theo, especially knowing what he knows. Gage didn’t want her involved in the world of The Brotherhood, but she doesn’t have a choice, given that it’s her birthright and when the past and present collide and Wrenly learns who her parents were and what they were apart of, but more so who saved her and her brother the night she lost both her parents does everything begin to make sense.
But the sins of Theo’s past come back to claim the only good thing in his life, Wrenly, and when Wrenly is subjected to trauma at the hands of her captor does it send Theo into a blind rage, Wrenly holds on for both Theo and the life that she carries inside of her. Theo know this was not what he wanted for her, not the life she should be living, he promised to keep her safe, and in the end he gets his retribution against the man that not only hurt his girl, but has haunted his past for so long.
And as they put there past behind them, Theo’s family welcome Wrenly with open arms, but, more importantly they celebrate there love with there closest friends and family, binding themselves together as they look forward to their future with their child.
I can say honestly, this is one of the best books I’ve read to date. These two characters were such a powerhouse. The emotions elicited between these two were raw and real. The storyline was on point, reeling the readers in, it was not only rough and hard, but it was heartbreaking, but in the end these two lost souls found there way back to each other, through adversity, they found there happily ever after.
The pleasure and passion between these two ignited an inferno that consumed them whole. The way these two allowed themselves to take care of the other shows the vulnerability and trust that these two had in each other, it allowed them to connect on an intimate level, solidifying their emotional connection, but strengthening their bond and the love that they had for each other.
Those smexy scenes were pure, unadulterated smut, primal, controlling, dominant, possessive, sinfully wicked, steamy, hot, spicy and salacious, deliciously dark, dirty and depraved. Because when it comes to Theo, he would burn the world for Wrenly giving her everything and more.
I highly recommend both the author and the book, because I can’t wait to read what this author writes next.
