What’s an omega to do when the beta that broke her heart is back in town, and determined to earn her love once more? Beg the younger brother of her long time alpha crush to pretend to be her boyfriend, of course.
Do you love building gingerbread houses, snowball fights, and holiday movie marathons while getting snowed into a cabin? What about cozy Christmas tree decorating?
Plum never thought her ex-boyfriend, Kai, would ever return to Gravewood, but when he shows up four weeks early to his best friend’s wedding, Plum panics. Fortunately, Benson plays along, cosigning her lie that he’s her current boyfriend, even though he’s the younger brother of her long time crush, Nick. Unfortunately, Plum now has to keep up the fake dating facade, dodge questions from everyone in their lives, and avoid her ex-boyfriend. All while serving as a bridesmaid in her friend's wedding, where Kai is the best man, and Nick and Benson, are the bride’s older brothers. Things are going to get very messy, especially when Plum goes into heat, just days before the wedding. What could possibly go wrong?
This is Plum's book. (AKA Sugarplum.) Sable's best friend in Knot Their Boo. You do not need to read KTB first, this is a standalone. Every question from Knot their Boo will be answered when it comes to Plum, and her men! Christmas Contemporary Omegaverse, MFMM, AOAA, small town holiday romance, second chance romance, age gap, why choose, fake dating turned lovers, reluctant alpha turned lover, persistent ex boyfriend that wants her back...
Kira Roman is a Mom of two monsters, she loves reading, and naps. She loves food, and The Office. She loves gloomy, rainy days. Naps, did I mention naps? She loves naps. And food. All the food.
So this is Plum's story, Sable's bestie. Plum is beautiful, kind, smart, a little bratty and knows her worth and doesn't take sh** from anyone.
Our mmc's are brothers, Nick and Benson, and Kai, Plum's high school boyfriend. Nick is the kind of grumpy older alpha who has always kept Plum at a distance. Benson uses every chance he gets to flirt with Plum, he is kind of obsessed and just really easy going. And finally Kai, he is Plum's beta that broke her heart and is back in town to win Plum back. He is a bit bratty in his own way, giving and funny and just beautiful. He also has a lot to make up for for what he did to Plum.
The plot was amazing as always. Plum seeks the help of Nick and Benson to keep Kai at bay. Little does Plum realise, Nick and Benson want to do everything to keep Plum for real as they really do care for her. Things start off as fake, but quickly change when Plum herself starts to fall hard and fast for the alpha's. Kai makes everything complicated when Plum still loves him but Plum makes him realise a few hard truths. I loved how the relationship blossomed into something more and at their own pace. It was sweet to also see Kai realise his mistakes and take the time to earn Plum's forgiveness and trust. They all just vibe so well together and just suit each other's personalities to a T. I could go on and on but I don't want to give anything away.
Shout out to Sable, Stella and Bee. Love them all 🩷
Such a sweet and wholesome story.
Thank you Kira and your lovely team for the opportunity to read this story. I am forever grateful 🙏

This wasn't a perfect book and up until one point i could pretend that it was fine as I was entertained.
The writing was weird. A lot of important things we should be witnessing first hand as the reader was told through flashback. The girl was constantly having flashbacks and it made the timeline feel off since we didn't always get to see everything but got recaps after big things happened. Time jumped, we got flashbacks, maybe something happened, Kai 5 years ago flashback, rinse and repeat.
The characters weren't too deep and I don't really think the romance is believable since we didn't get to see it happening because chunks were told to us instead the flashbacks. Which is a shame because I kind of liked the two alphas and would have like more details in the story, but I was still entertained.
I wasn't really bothered by this book until Kai got his own POV signaling that yes indeed he was going to be part of the pack. Oh yay. Joy. I dislike that man boy so much. And then, the huge "discussion" happened and the book lost me. Every bit of enjoyment I had was gone and it feels like everything became about Kai and her, but that could be just in my head due to the way this situation took over to book for me.
Kai allows his "never going to be good enough" fears take over so he publicly breaks up with her, leaves town, gets magically rich, comes back 5 years later with a stalker bff who suggests putting cameras in her house and while he doesn't do that he does everything else a stalker would to get close to their desire, repeatedly hurts her by being a pushy ass and not taking no for an answer, and I'm over here like WTF? This gives me the ick. I cannot ship this. I don't like the messaging this sends.
The only reason I finished reading was because I was really hoping the man boy did something, somehow apologized and groveled and like grew up from this situation and could prove he would become an actual man. Spoiler alert. That didn't happen.
First and foremost, this is the least Christmas centric Christmas book but somehow still has the random hint of the season. Overall, it's a slightly messy, slightly overcomplicated madhouse of events. There is a bit of a time warp feeling, like dialogue that feels like a day seems to jump weeks ahead. It... Works? But I was thrown more than once by the timing.
Plum is a really great FMC. Her early childhood details are a bit darker than one might hope for a book which is otherwise pretty upbeat, but it makes her character better, stronger, more understandable. Once Kai remembers how to human, all of the MMCs are great as well. Both Benson and Nick are consistently solid the entire book. The side characters were a bit interchangeable in some ways and very easily confused/confusing because of it. Partly this is my fault for reading out of order but the Stella and Sable were a blur of generic female for me. For the most part everyone filled their slot decently but those two kept me stumbling.
The story is unique enough to stand out well. The humor is absolutely spot on. Plum especially is one of the best truly funny characters I've read this year. The editing/proofing is high quality. The pacing is very steady and comfortable - it never drags but doesn't feel like a race either.
Some elements around the parents feel very unnecessary for the broader picture of the story but it's not too excessively traumatic either. It's not a perfect read but it's a good one if you're looking for open door, guaranteed HEA in a wintery RH genre.
I have been struggling to finish books lately. Losing interest partway through. So just some thoughts. Just because you write a holiday omegaverse book doesn't mean you need to give them a pumpkin or peppermint scent. If I was stuck with those scents and taste forever I'd go nuts. And that caused a disconnect for me with these books. You have a FMC whose name is Plum and you could have had her smell like sugar plums. Which would have fit with the Xmas theme. I use essential oil perfumes and one of my favorite is black plum and marshmallow. It's divine. Just saying.
Also spicy scenes have way way too much conversation going on,there is a difference between naughty spicy talk during when it should be action not a full blown dialogue.
I was glad you had Kai stay faithful to Plum. Though 5 years celibate is not believable in reality for a normal guy. I would have considered that cheating since he knew she was his mate and would have been in my eyes a betrayal of his mate had he been with anyone else. It took a long time for that to be disclosed in the book and caused me to lose interest as I hate when a FMC takes back someone who cheats. Same deal with Nick he waits to be with her. Which at first she is too young and then devastated when Kai breaks up with her and leaves. But 5 years after the break up? Not sure I will read the 4th if there is one.
Plum running into her first love, a Beta named Kai, causes a lot of feelings and she rushes to find a way to keep him away. Running into Benson she decides to try and use him to convince Kai she is taken.
The fake dating ploy is upped again when Benson's older brother, Nick, gets drawn into the fake dating arrangement. The only thing is that both of these Alphas want it to be real and will do everything they can to maker their Omega happy.
I honestly did not think Kai would be redeemable. Kira did a really good job keeping us on Plum's side until everything changed. This is such a sweet story once you get to the heart of what everyone wants and what they are willing to do to make it happen.
I loved how this story came together. Plus the way the brothers had been feeling for so long. These four make a beautiful pack.
There is such a timeline issue, that I couldn’t figure out if she was talking about the day before or years in the past. Sadly, that wasn’t my only issue with the book.
The girl has sky high walls, won’t let anyone in, and when a major scene happened and finally stands up for herself, the guy bawls on the ground and she walks away. I was with her and agreed wholeheartedly. I hate Kai. I saw nothing good in him. But then the girl feels bad and runs back to him. That’s when I quit.
She sees a broken man, one who did it to himself, and she just forgives him and wants to take care of him? After what he did? No thanks. I say leave him in his puddle of despair and go back to the alphas who love her. Sadly, you can tell she doesn’t have any real feelings for them. I feel bad for Nick and Ben in this book. They did not get a good deal.
I’ve been looking forward to this one ever since Knot Their Boo, and it did not disappoint. I absolutely devoured this book in a single day 😂.
Knot Their Sugarplum takes you on an emotional ride—there are laugh-out-loud funny moments, scenes that made me genuinely angry, and others that had me tearing up. The characters felt real and easy to connect with, and the story flowed beautifully from start to finish.
Add in the delicious omega spice I love so much, and this book was everything I was hoping for and more. Kira Roman delivered another wonderfully written, addictive read, and I already can’t wait for what comes next.
This is the third book in the Knotty Holidays series. I need to read the first book to complete the trilogy. It looks like I will need to binge read this series soon! Can I say that Sugarplum is a bada$$?!! She is funny, neurotic, loyal and somewhat insecure. I loved this character so much! I love watching the way she navigates the speed bumps in her life! The MMCs are hot and protective. My favorite MMC is Benson!! I love him and loved watching how his story played out. Thank you, Kira Roman, for another lovely, crazy and steamy story in this series. I loved reading this series and cannot wait to see what you release next. Just know I will be reading it as soon as it is released!!
I went in thinking this might be just a feel good holiday OV and got a whole lot more than I bargained for. Plum is complicated. She has been through it when it comes to her first and only love. Thankfully she has men who have patiently waited on the sidelines for their opportunity to be with her. So much to prove, learning to trust again, learning to be open again to hurt if it’s worth it. They sure make it worth it. Some men are so obtuse but when they get it, really get it, the world flip flops. Multiple POVs, 2 alphas and the beta that went off to be a better ma for her when he was already good enough for her. Wonderful side characters.
Such a sweet and spicy story of forgiveness. Plum’s first love, Kai, showed up back in town earlier than she was expecting, and she was not prepared. In trying to protect herself against letting Kai back into her life too easily, she finds herself fake dating brothers, Benson and Nick. They weren’t faking it, but it took Plum a bit to realize they had real feelings for her. Kai had his work cut out for him to get back into Plum’s good graces. Spicy and hot. I’m so happy Plum and the guys got their happily ever after.
I have been eagerly awaiting Plum’s story and it did not disappoint. It’s super cutesy and also just kinda angsty. It has a great fake dating arc that had me kicking up my feet because seriously how about that chemistry between Plum, Benson and his older brother Nick. It has the angsty second chance love between Plum and Kai, her beta ex boyfriend. It was just so fun to watch their banter and also watch the development between them go from no to yes. And I loved every single moment in this book!
I was dying to get my hands on Plum's (Sugarplum) book after liking her in her friend - Sables book (Knot their Boo. The book before this one). I loved her constant flirting with Alpha - Nick in that book and that continued in this book too. When Plum's Beta Ex - Boyfriend - Kai comes back into town hoping to rekindle their past relationship she enlists Alpha & brother to Nick - Benson. I loved his easy - going playfulness in this book. Saying that though my word did these guys steam up my kindle! I absolutely loved this book and Plum who was a riot of a laugh. Such a good read.
I absolutely adored this book. It was a sweet and cozy, small town romance and was the perfect holiday Omegaverse book.
Plum was such a great character. I loved her from her appearances in Knot Her Boo, as Sable’s best friend and I couldn’t wait to read her story. Her relationship with Kai is a bit of a heartbreaker, but Nick and Benson are absolute perfection.
Overall, this is a great holiday Omegaverse story.
My biggest problem was that this says standalone but there are a million side characters in this book and they are spoken about like we should already know who these people are. So I’m not sure if her friends have book of their own by this author but it was a lot of other people their names, pack names, and designations it was all too much. That and the FMC spent a lot of time in her shop making ornaments so really their “ connection” is like a week or so timespan.
I really enjoyed this book overall. I was a little let down at how the FMC and Kai's past was handled. I also think there should have been some sort of exploration of her daddy issues where she confronted her dad. In the end, it was an unnecessary portion of the story to share because it added and changed nothing really.
Both alphas were great! The book held a decent amount of spice, and it was definitely worth the read.
Such a good read from grovling exs winning back their omega, and finding your alphas that have always been there! Nothing better than scent matching, nesting, knotting, mating and HEAs!! And some good old spice. Tropes: Frist loves Second heats Grumpy (aplha & omega) x sunshine (alphas & beta) Heats Knotting Scent matches Found Family Past trauma ( look at your triggers) HEAs
Knot Their Sugarplum, book 3 of the Knotty Holidays series by Kira Roman @kiraromanauthor is a fantastic author!
What an amazing book about Plum, Kai, Benson & Nick! Tropes: Contemporary, Omegaverse, Why Choose with MM, Christmas, Friends to Lovers, Second Chance, Omega, Beta, & 2 Alphas, Found Family & HEA!
Super slow burn but she’s a tease and I love it! Plum begs benson to be her “fake” boyfriend so she can get Kai to leave her alone. Then Benson’s brother Nick is pulled into it. Being the flirt she is Plum then begs nick to join her little plan. In the end she gets her pack of amazing alphas and her amazing beta. I love these cute stories and I can’t wait to read more!

Loved reading Plums story on how she connected with her pack. Kai, her beta ex boyfriend is back for his best friends wedding to her best friend. Benson and Nick are her best friends brothers, and her fake boyfriends to help her deal with Kai being back. Not too much drama, some laughs and a bit of spice 😁🔥🔥
Oh I loved this book so much! I cried during several parts and it was so worth it. I wanted to smack Kai in the beginning and wondered how the author was going to get me to like him but man did she EVER pull it off. All the guys were great and the supporting cast was wonderful.
DNF’d @ 10% This FMC is … terrible. I couldn’t imagine treating people the way she treats the MMCs. I don’t want to learn her ‘redeemable qualities’ the way she spoke to all three men is just… what???
A fun holiday omegaverse that gave spice and a lot of nice. Plum's testing the men around her, not ready to see that they are up for something real. Even her past that she thought was a closed chapter. Worth the read!
Low angst. Sweet and lighthearted but still with plenty of plot and great characters. A sweet and strong fmc. A growly grumpy sweet alpha, a dedicated and playful alpha and a sexy groveling beta. All the angles covered! No MM in the dynamic. Full focus on the fmc!
This was the perfect Christmas story. I almost skipped reading it, but I am so happy I read this bad boy. If you're even thinking about this book you should just read it.
Wow, what a roller coaster. It is so amazing. I didn’t expect to cry so much. Kira is such a great writer. I felt every emotion imaginable. Great story. Love this series.
An omega with many variations of sugar in her nicknames. I enjoyed her story and her strong need to make her beta atone. Nick and Benson are brothers who are both alpha but sweet.
