My kids loved the book All About Bible Animals. It is so well loved that it is falling apart!
This new addition to the series is All About the Bible. It touches on all things related to the Bible—geography, Bible translations, Bible characters, the overall story of Scripture, and even fun facts about the Bible.
Like... did you know the Bible is the most stolen book in the world?!
There are Bible verses throughout that show children what the Bible says about itself as the Word of God (Isaiah 40:8).
There is also a timeline showing the whole story of the Bible.
This book is truly a picture book all about the Bible.
While some of the book contains basic Bible knowledge that is helpful for teaching children, I especially loved the addition of fun facts that even I didn't know. The section on unusual Bibles was particularly intriguing. I found it fascinating to learn about the "Wicked Bible," a Bible that was printed with one mistake. It left out the word "not" in one of the Ten Commandments, so instead of saying, "You shall not commit adultery," it said, "You shall commit..."
I also loved that the story of God's Smuggler was included.
There are so many fun and interesting facts about the Bible, along with lots of pictures throughout.
* I received a copy of this book from the publisher for my honest thoughts.
(I received a complimentary copy of this title. All opinions expressed are my own.)
I am so thrilled about this new title from The Good Book Company!
This title is written with children ages 7-11 in mind, but my 3.5 and 6 year olds have both loved looking through all the many colorful photographs and learning more about the bible through this book.
This book has so many things to catch your eye. The more I look through it, the more I notice! There is so much information packed into these 48 pages and so many topics covered. Some of my favorite chapters in this book are “Is the Bible Accurate” and “Bible Translation Then and Now.” There is so much for kids to learn! And grown-ups, too!
“All About the Bible” is fantastic as a personal resource for individual and familial learning, but also as an apologetics resource to use with our kids. What a great book to use in teaching our children that the Bible is God’s true word and that everything that takes place in the Bible has truly taken place in history–and that there’s historical, archaeological, and scientific evidence for this.
