Jessa came for May. What she finds may change everything.
In a city of millions, she’s searching for one face. Three months in Bangkok, and still no sign of May. Jessa followed her across continents, risking her career and sanity—but the woman she can’t forget remains a ghost.
In the vibrant and dense city, Jessa juggles more than missing May. Missions pile a trafficked American, Russian assets going dark, and a North Korean defector whose secrets threaten to slip away.
When May finally reappears, their reunion is as dangerous as it is intoxicating. Between clandestine hotel rooms, surveillance sweeps, and missions teetering on collapse, Jessa begins to question not just May’s allegiances—but her own.
The Woman in A Fateful Divergence is a sultry, high-stakes thriller where love and loyalty are tested at every turn. Can Jessa hold it all together—or will desire prove her greatest undoing?
"A perfect conclusion to a great series — thoughtful, engaging, and deeply satisfying!"
What a great ending to the series! The story picks up right where book three left off and flows naturally from start to finish. The storyline was super easy to follow, engaging throughout, and I especially loved the intelligence woven into the plot — it’s clear that a great deal of thought went into crafting this book.
I was so glad to see Jessa and May find their way to each other after book three, and I really liked how Blythe made it all come together. The spice in this book was just right — perfectly balanced to keep the focus on the story and character growth while still delivering those beautifully written moments of connection.
I also enjoyed the introduction of the new characters in Bangkok. Radhiki and Zhanna were a wonderful addition, bringing warmth and depth to Jessa’s journey and becoming great friends along the way.
Thank you, Blythe, for the opportunity to review your book. I’m so excited to see what you have up your sleeve next!
Star rating. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice rating. 🔥🔥🔥
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this honest review voluntarily.
This final installment of the Foreign Entanglement series was a bit of a wait compared to the previous three books, but it was nice to get back to the story of Jessa and May. Based on the return of M/F focus as this opened, I definitely expected it to go a slightly different direction. It was a little disappointing to see after the emphasis on Jessa and May’s strong romantic relationship in book 3 if I’m being completely honest. I did enjoy the twists and turns throughout this conclusion and the incorporation of previous book characters. The resolution just felt a little abrupt after all the buildup. I received a copy of this book directly from the author via her ARC team and this is my honest review. 4 stars. I’m glad she gave us the end of this story!
This sultry thriller is the fourth instalment in the Foreign Entanglements series, following the relationship of Jessa and May. These two characters initially encountered each other in Vienna, at the beginning of the series, and I've been following them since then. If you haven't read the previous books, I would recommend that you start at the beginning.
It's been a while since I read the previous instalment, and I enjoyed reconnecting with Jessa and May. I've always been able to connect with Jessa’s narrative, and this time around, I felt aware of her longing, and how much she craved May's presence. That was one of my favourite things about this; feeling the urgency and their need to be together.
These books fall into the espionage genre. In addition to the spice and romance, they're nail-biting thrillers that will keep you invested from start to finish. There's a sense of danger that's somehow addictive.
I've always appreciated Jessa and May's amazing chemistry; it's the kind of thing that doesn't need an explanation. Their relationship is a little bit complex, perhaps, but it's meaningful and special. If you get to know these characters, you won't forget them in a hurry.
Thank you to the author for sending me an ARC copy.
This is the fourth book the the Woman in Red series, and this series absolutely should be read in order as the main characters and their relationship changes throughout the series.
In the fourth book in the Woman in Red series, we travel to Bangkok, as Jessa follows the last clue left by May in Vienna, trying to track down the woman she loves. The pull between these two women has been the most intense draw for me in this series. To see how, try as they might, they could not resist each other. How their relationship developed and became stronger throughout each successive book.
The espionage continues to develop, coexisting along with real world events as it has in previous volumes. We see Jessa in multiple different types of scenarios consistent with her role in country.
The only real knock I have about this book, is how it takes a step backward in the spicy scenes. In this one, there are once again M/F and sapphic scenes, despite Jessa and May becoming an exclusive couple in the previous book. But moreso, the scenes feel more rushed, less descriptive than in the previous two volumes.
I want to thank Blythe Townsend for providing me an ARC of this.
This one is very much more political intrigue and explanation of what is happening in the world at large, but it is still sensual and loving levels of adoration.
Jessa- is in Hong Kong seeking the face she loves the most, and not finding her amongst the population. Getting frustrated in more ways than one. Being a Spy means not having a Private Life of any kind.
May- where is she? ***** no one knows ……… no spoilers here!
There is a slew of new characters and new plot twists and this is so short I need more!!!! I feel like Johnny Five the robot needing more input!!!!
The fourth installment of the series is here and continues the espionage/relationship entanglements of Jessa and May. There are twists and turns as well as doubts and confusion along the way until the mysteries are solved and the characters discover what they really want. Its a satisfying conclusion to the story and definitely worth the read.
