Hail Mary

Rate this book
Avalynne

All my life I’ve been good.
A good student.
A good sister.
A good girl.

Until I wasn’t.
Until Grandpapa sent me here to the convent for the nuns to fix me.

Evil ensnares my mind and sunders my soul.
Or that’s what they tell me, at least.

Reverend Mother demands penance.
Grandpapa demands punishment.
And three men threaten it all.

The Professor, whose words drip with arctic arrogance.
The Priest, whose dark eyes linger on me for too long.
And the Devil of Saint Margaret's, the chilling specter I hope isn’t real.

I’ll need to suffer them all to get out of here, beginning with my Professor.

He is an enigma behind midnight-black eyes.
He doesn’t want to be here.
He loathes tutoring me.
But, sometimes, in the quiet of the classroom … I catch him staring at me.
And I feel the scorch of his gaze feather my skin.

He’ll eat me alive if I give him the chance.
But the darkness in me wants the lines between us to blur.

A habit and a veil won’t protect me within the Convent’s walls.
May God save my undeserving soul.

Author's Hail Mary is a dark age-gap gothic romance featuring three male love interests and one female protagonist. It is recommended for those 18+ and features mature themes.

This book is the first of three novels in the Saint Margaret of Castello Convent series and ends on a cliffhanger.

Jordan Grant

Jordan Grant is a lost soul, who changed majors three times in college before deciding on English. Because she has about as much patience as her beautiful, wonderful (did she mention ah-mazing!) younglings, she graduated a year early and then went to law school because...

Well, she mentioned she’s a lost soul, right?

A special place in her heart is devoted to edgy alpha males and bad boys with naughty mouths. She loves to get lost in the blur between love and hate and is especially fond of prince charmings with dents in their crowns and strife in their souls.

She is an avid fan of all things sweet including red wine and cupcakes (red velvet, please!). When she’s not daydreaming about the characters in her head, she enjoys (attempting to) garden, petting furry animals, and wrangling her family into day-trip adventures.

The way I am feral for this book… this series. Hail Mary is a why choose dark gothic romance that finds Avalynne banished to a remote convent located on an island near Maine because her grandfather deemed she wasn’t a good girl. Like, sir…

Hail Marry has catholic trauma in spades, secrets, lies, and a pact for revenge… oh, and the MMCs? a Priest, a Professor, and the Devil himself… slow slow burn but once the heat hits… it’s steamy.

Trust the process… I for one, cannot wait for book two.

This is a fantastic dark gothic romance that does end with a cliffhanger. Avalynne is being made to attend a convent school by her grandfather who thinks she needs "fixing." Grandfather would definitely blush to see what goes on at this school between Avalynne, and her three men. This is a why choose romance and it's definitely hot and spicy! Her chemistry with the male characters is so good. Tension is high and I loved the twists and turns of the plot. I can't wait to read book two.

If you haven’t read a book by Jordan Grant, you must. You will definitely get hooked and find yourself reading through her backlist. She’s one of the few dark romance authors, more specifically gothic romance and dark academia, that can incorporate pages of TW/CWs into a story and it not come off like a checklist. Those TW/CWs are not just there for shock value. There’s a story, and it’s told quite well in Hail Mary.

Page turner, it is. Avalynne is sent to a convent by her grandfather, hoping the nuns will fix her. Those nuns, though, are not the kind ones. The way they discipline is beyond harsh. But at this convent, there’s the A-hole Professor and a Priest, which spices the story up. What I loved about Hail Mary, and it’s a big part of how Jordan’s writing is, is the mystery/suspense component to the story. And the “mythical devil” — I found this piece to be an exciting part of the story. I loved how it was done. That’s the “gothic” part that she gets right, and I love reading it. In addition, there’s the whole conflict of good vs evil. What is deemed “right” vs. " wrong. This touches across all the characters and varying themes that all weave together.

Hail Mary is only Book 1 in this trilogy, and I’m chomping at the bit for the next one already. Well done, Jordan. Well done.

I always wanted to read a Jordan Grant book and I'm happy I finally got the chance to start. Dark gothic, set in a convent, with some why choose. Just call me twisted because Hail Mary called right out to me. And usually I don't pay attention to the triggers but this time I read the warning page and absolutely it's spot on. Parts of this book were absolutely insane and all I kept thinking was, I hope this never actually happened to anyone. Beyond those scenes, Jordan Grant wrote one equally delicious and suspenseful story.

Avalynne and Xade were fire with their banter with each other and both their internal thoughts. Even though she was very sheltered, I love how quickly Avalynne grew a spine and found her voice. The only downside to being sheltered is that Avalynne pretty much fell for the only men around. And with most of the time being spent with Professor Thatcher, it took away from forming the why choose aspect of the story so I'm curious how Ezra and Ares will be brought into play. There's also few twists that started to come to light and although being overshadowed by the romance, overall I'm excited and super curious to see where this story is going.

ARC review!!
First I just want to say OMG. This book had it all, tension, angst, sadness that had you just wanting to hug everyone and so much love. I cannot get enough of these characters. For our main girl we had 19 year old Avalynne who is sent away by her grandfather. Then we have our guys- Ezra, Xade, and Ares.

Ezra is a priest at the place Avalynne is sent to

Ares- well he’s just him - the hot stranger 😉

And Xade boy oh boy
Xade is her professor

In Hail Mary, the book mainly focuses on Xade and Ezra’s relationship with Avalynne. We get to see how it developes and watch Avalynne become more sure of herself especially with Xade. I absolutely devoured the dark academic setting- it was spooky, thrilling, and just fun to read about. The cliffhanger at the end is insane. I can’t wait to see how it all plays out. We had tension- SO MUCH, spice, angst, yearning, I mean really everything I could have wanted. The one thing I’m the most excited to see is Avalynnes relationship with Ares. I already feel like he’s going to be my favorite (sorry Xade still love you)

Tropes for this book include (but not limited to)
• age gap
•priest
• professor x student
• dark gothic romance
• why choose (eventually?)
•good girl fmc

And more.

Thankyou so much to author jordan grant herself- not only for writing this book but letting me be apart of the early crew♥️♥️ it was everything I hoped for

I am so mad at the way this ended! I need more now! This book had me at the Prologue and I couldn’t get enough. I really enjoy Grant’s writing style. This story about a young woman getting sent to a convent by her grandfather as punishment for her twin’s transgressions took a plunge into the dark side of religion. If you have religious trauma, check your triggers. This is promo’d as a why choose but there wasn’t much of that in this book. Maybe that will come in the next book. I can’t wait to find out! Team Professor Xade Thatcher here, because you know I love me a grumpy, hot a-hole 😂

"Hell can't have her.
Heaven's not good enough for her.
She is mine."

Avalynne was sent to Saint Margaret of Castello Convent by her grandfather to atone for her sins after lying to protect her sister. But instead of finding salvation, she's thrown to the wolves, locked away in a place with antiquated methods, questionable morality, penance and punishment, painful cruelty hidden beneath a veil of righteousness.

Avalynne breaks away from the innocent, naive girl she once was, standing up for herself, sassy and defiant, determined to make her own choices. She's the good girl who strips the layers of the girl she once was, finding her path to the woman she's now becoming. She's a fighter, a spitfire, loyal to her family, but ready to demand exactly what she wants instead of forever living in her grandfather's image.

XADE - The sexy, arrogant professor who's brought to his knees, his entire world turning upside down from the moment he meets Avalynne. Sin and desire mix with a delicious slow burn, angst and longing and a quest for vengeance and grief driving his actions. He's a man obsessed as he finds the one girl who challenges him and knows how to push every single one of his buttons.

EZRA - The priest questioning his faith, fighting his internal demons, weighed down by shame and guilt. His spiritual battle pulled at my heartstrings as he tried to reconcile his feelings and emotions with his morality and his devotion to God.

ARES - The Devil of Saint Margaret's, a tortured soul hidden by the shadows, haunted by demons of his own, he redefines what it means to live in the dark. He remains the most mysterious of the three as we only get quick glimpses of his character yet he's the one I'm most intrigued by.

Each of the three men has his own story to tell but the one thing they share is how wrapped up they are in Avalynne. Limits are pushed, boundaries are blurred and promises are broken in a story of secrets, lies and betrayals, jealousy and revenge, forgiveness and redemption. This book is primarily Xade's story but after a mind-shattering cliffhanger, the stage is set to learn more about each of them. What's right? What's wrong? What awaits them all in the next chapter? There are more questions than answers and I'm curious to see how this all plays out.

Jordan's writing is immaculate, each sentence meticulously crafted to create scenes that are atmospheric and impossible to do anything other than be fully immersed in. Scenes were sometimes repetitive though and I struggled with my lack of knowledge of Catholicism but otherwise I've long awaited to be back in this world.

⭐️ Plot: 4/5

📖 Genre: Dark Gothic Academia Romance
🏞️ Setting: Convent in Maine
🗣️ POV: Multiple POV
🛏️ Tropes:
- Slow burn
- Religious abuse
- Professor/Student
- Priest/Sinner
- Familial abuse (manipulation and neglect)
- FMC Naive Good girl sent away for a crime that she didn’t commit
- Reverse Harem
- MMC Devoted Priest
- MMC Grumpy perfectionist Professor
- MMC Mysterious unknown man who watches her
- betrayal
- Virgin FMC
- Light Domination
- End of a cliffhanger

The writing is beautiful, firstly.
The author has a gift with words.

It is a great slow burn. Don’t expect anything for the first 65% of the book. Plenty of build up and longing, but it gets going when it gets going.
In the first book, she is only with one MMC.

—————-***************——————-

Avalynne is a young woman who has a twin sister. They both live in the care of their grandfather after the death of their parents.
After Isabella, the more rebellious twin, brings a boy back to their house, and they are caught in the entrance by their grandfather, Avalynne lies to cover for her sister saying that it was she who brought the boy.

They are separated immediately and Avalynne is tossed away and sent to a convent.

There, she meets Father Damienne the priest who is kind, but disappears regularly. She is given a tutor, professor Thatcher whose impossible and exacting standards confuse her, and there is Ares. The Devil of St Margaret’s. A mystery and a myth.

It quickly becomes apparent that The reverend mother, (an awful woman who uses medieval practices to try and keep Avalynne in line for every perceived failure) the priest, the professor and the devil all know each other. Very Well.
There is something strange going on at the convent that Ava knows has to do with her Grandfather in some way.

Avalynne stumbles onto their mission, a cause that will upend her life, and change the world as she knows it forever.

Dark, Devastating, and Impossible to Put Down
Jordan Grant is a new-to-me author, but after this book? Instant auto-buy.
This gothic romance/thriller is a five star read for me!
The writing is exceptional—provocative, lyrical, emotionally heavy, and deeply atmospheric. It’s the kind of prose that sinks into your bones and refuses to let go.
We follow Avalynne, a 19-year-old girl who has spent her life being good—until she’s punished for sins she did not commit and sent away to a convent to be “fixed.” From the moment she steps behind those walls, the story unfurls into something dark, unsettling, and endlessly intriguing. The convent itself feels like a living, breathing entity—steeped in secrets, rot, and centuries-old corruption.
Then there are the three men.
Each one is dangerous in his own way, each tied together in a spider web of lies, power, and moral decay:
The Professor, cold, arrogant, and razor-sharp, whose gaze burns far more than his words.
The Priest, unsettling and watchful, with eyes that linger far too long.
The Devil of Saint Margaret’s, a chilling presence whispered about in fear… or worship.
The tension is palpable. The emotional push and pull, the blurred lines, the quiet moments charged with meaning—it all builds into a slow, exquisite torment. Avalynne’s internal struggle, her darkness, her defiance, and her vulnerability are written with so much depth that she feels achingly real.
And that ending?
A cliffhanger that left me staring at the last page in disbelief. Book two truly cannot come soon enough.
If you love dark gothic romance, morally complex characters, forbidden tension, and stories that dig deep into power, punishment, and desire— Hail Mary needs to be on your list. Just be sure to read the content and trigger warnings first.
Jordan Grant has officially made a fan out of me. 🖤📖

This is book 1 in a trilogy by Jordan Grant and it starts with a bang!
This is also a my firts book by Jordan Grant and I am impressed and wowed by the story,I am definately intrigued by what will happen in books 2 and 3.
The story takes place in Saint Margaret of Castello's Convent where the female character Avalynne is sent to by her Grandfather.
After being repressed by her grandfather for years,it was nice to see Avalynne find herself with the help of 3 men....Ezra The Priest...Xade The Professor...and Ares a mystery..
I order to escape from the convent she has to go through those 3 men to do so.
Now I am having to really hold back and try and not reveal too much of the story, which I tend to do..SORRY..
I am determined not to spoil the story so short reviewI will say,do read the trigger warnings and be warned this book does end on a cliff hanger.
Prepare yourself for a tense and angsty dark ride with characters you will love.!!
I did like Jordan Grant's writing and I will certainly be reading the next 2 books because curiosity has definately caught the Cat.
Loved it.
5 Stars.- Cat W.

First off please check content warnings! The is dark and twisted! Trauma, torture, virgin FMC, this is also a reverse harem. FMC is shipped off to a convent and it’s a wild ride. Hidden identities, secrets, nothing is what it seems. The build up is good the only reason I gave it 4 stars was because pacing was a bit everywhere the first 45% of the book. This is enemies to lovers with constant yearning from all sides. It’s an adventure to say the least and it leaves on a cliffhanger! I thoroughly enjoyed it and was on the edge of a mountain with each page turned ready to fall off or explode! This book definitely did not disappoint! I cannot wait to see what happens next! 4 stars-Kerin

This was not my typical pick. Avalynne is throw in to unimaginable situation in order to protect her sister. The love interests in this one have you feeling all sorts of ways with not one but 3 that are forbidden and she has no clue the effect that she has. This was slow burn in the romance but I can't wait to see how book two goes and how she will handle what she sees as betrayal. Great author!- Tasha

Brilliant! Just absolutely brilliant. If priests who are this close to throwing it all away and bathing in every sin of the flesh you can think of, Professors that use rulers for waaay more interesting things than measuring, and devils thought long dead roaming convents and stalking the heck out of one girl, mixed with punishment, all the creepy gothic convent vibes you can handle, and lies and secrets and betrayal, are your jam, I can promise you this is the read for you.
It’s the start to a trilogy that is what dark gothic romance dreams are made of, with a perfect setting, a plot that mixes desire, romance, the sins of the church, and revenge, and that innocence lost, diabolical and ruthless punishment, the truth will burn everything down thing that makes you devour and relish every word and you literally cannot put it down. The FMC, Avalynne, is innocence personified as the girl sent to a convent as punishment for protecting her sister, and it’s fascinating and heart wrenching to see her cling to her belief and trust in her family even while enduring punishments that make your jaw drop. She attracts the attention of her professor, Xade, the priest, Ezra, and the man they call the devil, Ares, who everyone says doesn’t exist, leading to a torrid affair that sets pages on fire, stalking, and sooo much obsession. But no one is completely honest, lies and omissions of truth are piling up and ready to explode, the Reverand Mother is an overzealous nutjob practically salivating for her chance to end Avalynne, feelings get complicated, and Avalynne isn’t ready for what the truth means.
It obviously ends on a cliffhanger but it is a well written, diabolically well played start that leaves you beyond frustrated, completely intrigued, and totally jonesing for book two.

Bless me, reader, for I was not prepared.

Hail Mary is not a book you read; it’s one you descend into.

Avalynne is sent to Saint Margaret’s to be corrected, contained, made holy again. What she finds instead is cruelty dressed as devotion and punishment masquerading as love. The convent breathes repression and rot, and every corridor feels like it’s listening.

Jordan Grant excels at gothic tension. The nuns are merciless, the rules suffocating, and the sense of wrongness never lifts. And then there are the men; each dangerous in his own way. The Professor’s icy restraint, the Priest’s unraveling faith, and the shadow of the so-called Devil all circle Avalynne like temptation itself. Nothing is rushed. Every interaction simmers. Every look feels like a sin.

What truly sets this book apart is how intentionally the darkness is handled. The trigger warnings aren’t window dressing;they’re woven into the story with care and purpose. Themes of control, belief, corruption, and desire blur until you’re constantly questioning who decides what is holy and what is damned.

The gothic elements are immaculate, the suspense relentless, and the moral tension deliciously uncomfortable. And that ending? Absolutely criminal. The kind of cliffhanger that leaves you staring at the wall, already desperate for book two.

If you love dark academia, religious horror, forbidden attraction, and stories that aren’t afraid to get under your skin; Hail Mary delivers penance in spades.

Hail Mary ( Saint Margaret Of Castello Convent Book 1 ) 🖤Dark Gothic 🖤Why Choose 🖤professor / Student 🖤Forbidden/ Priest 🖤Age Gap
What you get - secrets and revelations, twists and turns, trauma and torture , hidden identities, love , passion , pain , enemies to lovers , RH , forbidden, a virgin heroine and 3 morally grey MMCs , Avalynne and her men . Ezra the priest , Xade the professor and Ares who is filled with so many different layers of, he really is quite the mystery. I have to say I really was not prepared for the crazy ride I was just taken on . Avalynne was such an interesting heroine . 19 years of age and sent away by her Grandfather to a covenant. It’s there that everything changes , life as she knew / knows it gets turned on its axis . She meets meets 3 men / who are as different as night and day and they each bring something different to her life . I loved just loved the progression of her relationships with all 3 guys , how there were so many things that happened I never saw coming. Reading Hail Mary really was like being on the wildest ride at the amusement park . You know that feeling you get of being excited and anxious all at once , the anticipation of what’s going to happen from one second to the next . Hail Mary is the type of story that just sucks you right in , has you devouring every single word and keeps you up well into the early morning hours

O'MG!!!!
When do we get the next book!
This book has made me experience so much!
There are 5 main characters.
We have Avalynne sent to a convent by her grandfather for lying
We have the Priest Ezra Damienne.
The tutor Professor Thatcher.
Reverend mother Georgina with the sisters in the convent.
With these 4 key characters you are thrown into a world that you want to explore and run from!
And Grandfather Immorier whom you hear about through the others! Which is such a powerful way to write about a such a protagonist!
I got the depth of character development I always love in a book. I got to understand Avalynne and her needs, wants and behaviours. Professor Thatcher who stays so true to himself despite his desires and wants! And Father Damienne whom I hope we find out more about in the next book esp why did he leave Avalynne alone there!
And then Ares... multi lingual, mysterious and some what a Quasimodoesque character who is lurking.

Hail Mary is book 1 in the Saint Margaret of Castello Convent. It is a dark gothic romance, set in a convent with age gap, why choose student/professer and priest tropes. This story features Avalynne, Ezra, Xade and Ares. Avalynne is a 19 year girl who is sent away to a convent by her grandfather after trying to protect her twin sister. Its there she meets Xade, who is her professor so she can continue her studies, Ezra who is a priest at the convent and Ares a ghost for now. Hail Mary mainly focuses on Xade and Avalynne with a bit of Ezra and Ares thrown in.

This book has it all, spice, tension, sadness and angst. This dark romance was fantastic with a great plot and amazing characters. I loved Xade and watching Avalynne grow into her own person. I can’t wait for book 2 to see what happens next and I can't wait to get to know more about Ares. Beware it does end in a cliffhanger and check triggers before reading.

I don't read many Gothic romance but after starting this story I think I will. Avalynne protects her twin on a night her grandfather comes home early because she is the "good girl" and doesn't want her Grandpapa taking a harsh punishment out on her sister. He has raised them since her parents were killed ("accidentally"). She self-sacrifices herself and he sends Avalynne to St Margaret's convent and if you have had any experience with nuns, times that horror by 100 - she is punished severely and it's heartbreaking because she still keeps the faith in her grandfather (cruelty wrapped in religion). Along her journey she meets 3 very different men that she has 3 very different experiences with, spice begins with 1 and the others are obsessed with her. The backstories are being filled in and the devastation is making for a brilliant story that I'm not sure I will have the patience to wait for especially after that cliffhanger ...Mother Mary full of grace pray for us sinners!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephane's Book Reports.

This is the story of Avalynne, the priest and the professor. Avalynnes grandfathers has sent her to this horrible place. In her grandfather's eyes she needs to be straightened out. This is not your normal runo f the mill kind of place. This isa a horrific place for Avalynne to be. The nuns in this place and the punishments they dole out, might just give you nightmares. My heart just broke at times or, I bounced from wanting to go kick some booty!! Now that is about all I can say about this book. I think the best way to go into it is blind. Don't read the reviews, just get the book and dive in. I loved reading this one. I kept me on my toes. I love the way this story is written. This is book one of a trilogy and I have to have the next book in my hands asap!!! Now run, get this book and join the madness with me.

Oh I am so obsessed. I just know this is going to be one of those series where the books get better each one. This is a dark gothic romance that focuses around religion and more specifically religious trauma. After lying to protect her sister Avalynne is sent to a convent by her grandfather. There she suffers from trauma and abuse by the Reverend Mother. Avalynne becomes the object of obsession of Father Ezra, Professor Thatcher, and Ares the devil that haunts the halls of Saint Margarets. I was hooked since the first page, and the underlining plot was so good. I am so ready to find out more of it in the next book. Avalynne was kept sheltered all her life and and she wants to believe in the good in everyone even though her grandfather is literally Satan she still wants to see the good in him. I am also so excited for Ares character. We only got few POV chapters from him and very few scenes. His character is still a mystery. I'm so excited to see how this story keeps going.

This novel was… interesting and I loved every second of it. I wasn’t sure how it was going to play out but by the end, I can’t wait for the next book the author puts out. This hauntingly beautiful dark romance was rock solid, fantastic plot with characters I inevitably fell in love with either from the beginning or as I learned more about them.

The ending had me shook and hanging on by a thread and I loooove a good cliffhanger.

This is a dark gothic why choose romance that takes place in a convent where our FMC, Avalynne, was sent to after covering for her sister who is everything to her.

This novel has it all from a hot professor AND priest… and an awfully handsome devil in the dark to top it off. 👀👀

This was a 10/10 read for me and I can’t wait for its release! This is a book that I would heavily recommend to those who like the more… taboo side that pushes its limits.

Well slap my ass and call me a good girl.

You know what, if I knew that I would end up at a covenant with these 3 deliciously hot men. I think I would have misbehaved earlier in life 🤭

Ms. Avalynne, I applaud you girl. Three guys.... Daddy ooo ooops, Ezra the priest, Xade the hot professor and the hot stranger Ares.

The progression was perfect. It was the perfect pace for building their relationship up. The tension, the angst, just everything, I loved it all. The dark academia and eerieness of it all really added a great aspect to the book.

Straight devoured this and that cliffy..... Jordan, how could you do that?!?!? I need that next book immediately!

This book is sacrilege
an unholy litany, a hushed filthy prayer.

Avalynne is sent away to a convent
to be cleansed of her sins.

Saint Margaret’s is not salvation.
It is punishment disguised as piety.

Baptism becomes drowning.
Correction becomes whips.
Penance becomes pain.
She is alone in her new reality…
until she meets the men.

A priest with faith crumbling from want.
A teacher, sharp-edged and cruel.
And a stranger slithering in the dark.

The slow, blasphemous burn
between Avalynne and these men?
Agony.

Every lesson, a confession.
Every touch, a whispered prayer.
Habits shed. Boundaries blurred.

But every holy place has rot
beneath the floorboards,
the undercroft hides horrors
she refuses to believe.

A masterpiece of slow-burn tension,
religious trauma,
forbidden desire spiraling into obsession

This is the first in a trilogy, and my word, what a start to a new series this story is!
Avalynne
All my life I have been good.
A good student.
A good sister.
A good girl.
Until I was not.
Until Grandpapa sent me here to the convent for the nuns to fix me.
And three men threaten it all.
The Professor, whose words drip with arctic arrogance.
The Priest, whose dark eyes linger on me for too long.
And the Devil of Saint Margaret's, the chilling spectre I hope is not real.
This story ends in a cliffhanger!
This is a well written story, which has trauma, tension, lies, secrets, betrayal, punishment, enemies / lovers, revenge, an age gap, morally grey, why choose, hidden identity, and a forbidden romance, which leads to an entertaining, haunting, twisted, and unpredictable, dark gothic romance.

A Priest, A Teacher, and a Stranger.

Tropes:
Slow burn
Angsty
Dark Gothic Romance
Age gap

Follow the beginning of Avalynne’s story, being sent to a convent for keeping her sister’s secret and not telling her grandfather the truth. Can she survive all the lies and go back to her sister?

Book one is just the beginning of this story finding herself outside of her grandfathers home, finding herself in love, and having three obsessive men keeping her safe.

Ezra the priest in charge of the convent.

Xade the teacher who falls for love at first sight.

Ares the stranger who stays in the dark, the devil of the convent.

This story is a wild ride filled with angst, lies, secrets, and even though it’s a slow burn the spice and heat is perfection! If you haven’t read a book by Jordan you should her writing is so amazing and filled with details.

I was completed hooked on this from the very beginning!

It’s a dark book, make sure you have read the trigger warnings. The story, wow it was a complete mix of mystery, intrigue, angst, fear, longing to name but a few.

We see 3 MMC’s and while we see a lot more of Xade (boy some of those scenes were 🔥) I can’t help but feel there’s so much more for Ezra and Ares that we’re yet to witness.

Boy oh boy that ending. There’s so many twisted avenues all leading to this point, I am desperate to read what happens next. Will it lead to redemption, or will they all suffer in what can only be described as a hell hole together?!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book which I am truly grateful for!

Epic

This is an epically great story. If you like stories that constantly keep you on the edge of your seat. This is the one for you. This story has so much going for it. First of all, it's written by Jordan, a wordsmith and in my eyes a woman who makes me fall in love with her prose. Hail Mary may be set in a convent, but it gets your blood going in all the good ways. What has Jordan delivered in this Why Choose? A Professor, a Priest and a man I identify as a Dark Angel. Our heroine faces so much strife. Will she survive living in a convent and learning to humble herself? Can she survive her family secrets? In then end,can she love these men who are lodging themselves in her life? Interested, now? Get yourself a copy and start your journey. Enjoy.

My goodness! This is one heck of an intense read, and I loved it! The 'good' twin, the people pleaser, the clever, hard working Avalynne is plunged into a harsh, unbending world as punishment for a crime against her grandfather. That crime? Protecting her twin!
Banished into the 'care' of Reverend Mother, she meets Xade, Ezra and Ares. Yum. Older than her, a heady mix of wild, somewhat unhinged kind, focused and protective men. And things are afoot!
This is a wild story set in a wild, stormy, isolated island. Not to repeat myself too often, but this is also a wild ride for the reader! And the cliffhanger is huge!! My heart wants more! 💖💖💖💖💖

Hail Mary is book 1 in the Saint Margaret of Castello Convent series by Jordan Grant. If you have read any of Jordan's books than you already know you need to RUN and grab this one. Please check Triggers and Content Warnings BEFORE reading. This story tells of our FMC and her THREE MMCs. This is a dark gothic romance that features why choose, professor/student (forbidden romance), priest relationship (forbidden), and age gap yumminess. I devoured this story and NEED more. This is my top read by Jordan (at this moment) and is a MUST HAVE! I can't wait to see what Jordan has for us reader's next!
