It was slow but entertaining for a while but the setting turned into something I'm not interested in. Unfortunately the speed never picked up despite the MC's cheats.
Unfortunately I didn't like either LI so I don't know if I'll continue the series.
The onomatopoeia was extremely annoying. Knocked off a star just for that, it was so childish. Amateur hour over there.
As funny as it was, those are two very impactful drawbacks.
Something else that bothered me a lot was the girl on the cover doesn't exist in the book. Either the artist got the High Priestess wrong (four ears, not two) or the authors are gaslighting us. Either way, not cool. No, four ears is not sexy either, what the hell.

It is indeed "one-part Isekai Emperor, one-part Trailer Park Elves, and one-part Dungeon Champions". Unfortunately I don't really like any of those.

I made it through the first 175 pages (15%) of this really long book, and based on what I had already read, I didn't want to put up with nearly another 1,000 pages of it.
The MC is a guy working at a marina when a storm comes in. He sees a guy drowning (that nobody else can see) and goes to his rescue. The man is caught in some sort of electrified net, but the MC manages to cut through it despite having his muscles lock up from electricity. Not sure how that works biologically, but sure. Then he wakes up in another world. Yep, really inane and meaningless isekai story that added zilch to the story.
There are bad guys dedicated to a god, and they are basically an incel gang because they all wear what are effectively "manhood cages", and dance and prattle on about how glorious certain female bodies are that they cannot touch or do anything to. It's very disturbing, and their dialogue is mindless incel fodder.
Then the MC finally rescues the first of what will presumably be many of the goddesses priestesses, and when she is finally reanimated, she speaks with a (really bad) Texas accent. I live in Texas, and pretty much nobody talks like that. It's pretty cringe when you get isekai'd and the first real woman you meet that's from that new world has a "Texas accent".
There are some pretty bad technical errors. The MC is crawling around and inside a 747 airplane, and upon leaving it, ends up next to "one if its propellers". Jet engines don't have propellers, and the fan blades are inside the engine cowling.
They authors also give the MC a gift of some great military level gear, including boots, a multi-tool, MREs, and paracord to name a few. Gotta make sure the MC has an easy go of it.
With all the weirdness, I just couldn't contemplate reading over a thousand pages of this.

A great first book
Disclaimer: I was a beta reader for this, blame me for any math errors
This was my first introduction to Adam's Fateforged universe, and it brought the joy of childhood flashbacks to annoying fairies, and unhinged hilarity. I can't wait for the next entry in this series to find out what is next as well. The progression is nice and the world building is great. Seeing Gabriel growing to accept his role and how he helps those in his care is cool, and Albrecht and Dawkie are the best.

Wow!
Alternate universe, LitRPG, save the world, base building, harem adult situations
The first book is over 1100 pages, which is three novels for the price of one. Plenty of action, character development, and our MC, Gabriel, has his work cut out for him. As implied, it's connected to already existing series of novels, but it reads just fine without that background. Excellent editing, with most of the errors being dropped spaces in ability descriptions. Glad I already have book 2!

Great Hero
I absolutely loved this story, and wait with baited breath for the next installment. The hero (Gabriel) a humble boat dock operator helps save a drowning man from a magical storm. He is whisked away to the Fae Islands to save all the priestesses and fight the evil god. The story is much better than my description of it.

epic team building
I love Hlit books. Mainly because the MC builds a team of BA women to help him win. The spice is perfect and the interplay between the women is awesome.

Settle Back for an Enjoyable Journey
Wonderful read. Different settings and places. Nice twist. Moves real quick. Never got bogged down. If you’ve read some of the others and enjoyed them you will definitely enjoy this one.
