Baby for the Alien Warrior de Honey Phillips Serie Treasured by the Alien libro 14

Argumento:

I’m always excited when I discover that a new book will be published in this series. The Cire warriors capture my heart more and more with every book I read. They are lonely aliens who fall deeply in love with their human mates and are very protective of them and also of children they love.

This time, we follow the journey of the human female Corinne Vale and the Cire male Selik. A month ago, 38 year old Corinne and her 13 year old stepdaughter Anya, were abducted from Earth by aliens. During their captivity, Corinne promised a dying Cire mother to keep her ten month old son Mikoz safe. Just when Corinne despairs of keeping her promise to protect her little family, they are rescued by Commander Selik of the Confederated Patrol, a Cire warrior. He takes them back to his ship and promises to keep them safe. Selik lost this own family 20 years ago from the Red Death. That caused him great pain, and ever since, he has guarded his heart against love and focused on his job, keeping he universe safe. Nothing could prepare him for Corinne and her children. From their first meeting there’s a connection between Corinne and Selik, and the children quickly win Selik’s heart as well. But danger threatens the new family, not from Corinne’s captors but from Selik’s homeland. The council on Ciresa is still searching for full-fledged Cire babies to build their future. And Mikoz is a full blooded Cire. Soon, Corinne, Selik and the children must leave the safety of the ship to go into hiding in a new place where they will hopefully be safe. With some help, Selik and his new family flee to the water planet Two Tillich. It’s a small, quiet settlement, where different aliens live. Selik, Corinne and the children like the planet and soon build a new life and home there. But the fear of being discovered continues to haunt them, and, Selik, who has once lost a family, is especially worried. Can he protect his new family from danger? One thing he knows for sure, he will protect them with his life. His heart can’t handle a second loss.

This was such a sweet, emotional, steamy alien romance story. Corinne and Selik both understand loss, Corinne lost her husband David two years ago and Selik lost his family twenty years ago. Neither were looking for new love, but the moment they met, they felt a special connection. Both tried to resist it but their feelings were too intense. It was so beautiful to see the love blossom between them. Two lonely souls finding each other and starting a new family with the two children.
Anya was very mature for her age, she was initially very guarded and scared, which was natural. But she quickly became a great support for Corinne. It was wonderful to watch the bond between her and Selik grow. He treated her like a daughter.
Baby MIkoz was so cute! Everyone loved him, he was sweet, curious, playful, and a bundle of energy.
Corinne was a very brave woman, she cared deeply for Anya and Mikoz, they weren’t her biological children but she loved them as if they were. She was intelligent, stubborn and practical, which helped her immensely in her new life (that was so different from her old life). I was so happy for her when she met Selik and that they found a new home on the water planet. It was a quiet life, where they did normal jobs and found new friends who helped them. Selik was a great man, he was very protective of Corinne, Anya and Mikoz but he also supported them in finding their own paths in life. His focus and loyalty now turned to his family. You could feel his fear of losing his new family again but luckily, Corinne was there to support him through his fears. They were a team. It was wonderful to see their family expand with a new member, whom they all loved very much.

The story was told from both POV’s and there were a few steamy sex scenes in it.
There wasn’t much drama in the story, it was more about finding love again and choosing your own family by opening your heart. The secondary characters were also interesting and very supportive, which I liked.

This was a warm, emotional story about mates, love, family and hope.

'This small female from an unknown species had awoken something deep inside him, a protective urge he’d thought long dead. When his tail had wrapped around her waist it had felt like… coming home.'

The Treasured by the Alien series is one of my favorites from Honey Philips- as hard as it is to pick favorites lol. I always love how honorable and protective the Cire males are, and our male lead here is no exception. *swoon*

I loved this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Selik and Corinne. I was immediately hooked to the story as Corinne and her stepdaughter Anya trying to survive a trek through a desert after abduction and a crash, along with an orphaned baby, Mikoz. I was fascinated that the baby was also Cire- more intrigued by Selik's shock at seeing him. I fell in love with Selik from the start- for obvious reasons- and loved his personality. Corinne was fiercely protective of the children, despite being actually powerless to truly protect them from an alien threat.

“I suspect you have no reason to trust anyone. But you are out of options and I am offering help. Sometimes that is all we have.”
She stared at him for a long moment. Then she looked down at the infant in her arms, at the girl sleeping against his chest, and back up at him.
“If you betray us, I will find a way to make you regret it.”
'The threat should have been laughable. She was barely half his size, unarmed, and on the verge of collapse. But he believed this small, soft female would find a way to hurt him if he broke his word. The thought shouldn’t have pleased him as much as it did.'

This story was a journey of survival, found family, and love. I loved the way Corinne and Selik bonded, the way Anya warmed up to him and trusted him by his actions. I was so sad for Mikoz's mother's fate. I couldn't imagine Amalia's emotions in that moment- captive, dying knowing she wouldn't be able to protect her baby and that he'd be in the care of a kind alien female, but one who was no more free than she was. My heart hurt for this story. The situation currently concerning that baby was suspenseful.

A beautiful romance. 5 stars

We're back with another Cire warrior who's given up on ever finding happiness and BOY does he get hit in the feels. Selik is stoic, does his duty as he feels he must, and absolutely resigned to living out the rest of his life alone. After all, he had a mate and a child he lost to the Red Death and he's both grieving and convinced (thanks to the Cire council) that with no Cire females left, bonding again is out of the question.

GUESS WHAT? These human ladies change things for all the Cire warriors they meet and Corinne is no different. Selik is drawn to her from the first. The fact she's adopted a Cire infant (which is an impossibility according to what he's being told by the council) and is fiercely protective of her stepdaughter awakens something in him. That she would continue fighting when the odds are against her stirs him in ways he never expected to be stirred.

As for Corinne, she has a teenage stepdaughter and a baby depending on her. She doesn't have time for breaking down or giving up. That said, she's teetering on both the emotional and physical edge when Selik crosses her path and it's either trust this proud warrior or let the desert world they're stranded on swallow them.

No surprise, she chooses the warrior. And what an excellent choice it is. Selik is kind and patient and willing to give up everything to keep her family together.

A little danger, a baby who shouldn't exist, a new life on a distant world, a warrior who will defend his new family with everything inside him, and a lady who never expected to find love among the stars. *thumbs up*

Absolutely loved it💖🌟🔥

This series is straight up one of mg absolute favorites. Each and every book leaves me with a smile on my face and makes my heart happy. The over arching themes of loneliness, belonging and forgiveness are woven so beautifully into each story. In this book Corinne and her step daughter were taken from earth. They were being sent to for only knows where when a Cire female was thrown in the cell with them. She gave birth to a child but didn't survive and asked Corinne to take care of him. One thing leads to another and she is now the mother of two and running for her life until Selik finds her. Selik is a Cire male who commands a patrol ship he battled the enemy and saw the ship crash. He needed to check four survivors. What he finds is two human females and a infant Cire male and his life will never be the same. What he thought was lost to him forever, is slowly building into something special and beyond his understanding. He'd been told his whole life that he could only mate with a female of his own species, but now that has been proven to be a lie. The Cire council is looking for Cire children and he's vowed that no one will take away and hurt his new family. I don't want to give anything else away. Hopefully this is enough for you to download the story and start reading now you won't regret it. Its fabulous, highly recommend🔥💖🌟💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🔥🌟💖🌟💖🌟💖🌟💖🌟💖🌟💖🔥🔥

Such a great story!

Corrine woke to a nightmare suddenly finding herself , and her step daughter in a cage after being taken by Aliens. The already strained relationship with Anya was suddenly more stressful. Regardless, Corrine watched over her, and protected her. Then another female with green skin is thrust into the cage with them, who is sick and very weak , teaching her how to car for her infant son. She pleads with Corrine to care for her baby. There is a battle and Corrine and Anya and the baby are forced into a shuttle, but they crash, and since the pilot is dead, Corrine takes the baby, and Anya crossing a desert looking for someone, to help. Commander Selik was compelled to take his shuttle down to look for survivors, and Finds Corrine. When she explains that her children are below her resting, and he sees a Cire child who shouldn't even exist, he's in shock. Their journey together is long, and very stressful due to the Cult like fanatics on the Council. I really recommend reading their story. They get a beautiful HEA ending. Trish. A.

Baby For The Alien Warrior is the latest book in the Treasured By the Alien series, which happens to be my favorite syfy romance series. I truly loved everything about this book. The main characters,  Selik and Corrine, are 2 of my favorites in this series. Both are a bit broken and have suffered horrible loss but they continue on. When Selik finds Corrine, Anya and Mikoz on an uninhabited world after they've crashed running from the Vedeckians who had abducted Corrine and Anya from Earth they both feel a stirring of something between them. And that begins the adventure to keep their family safe. The book has everything...drama, humor, love, heat and even a bit of suspense. I loved all of the characters, especially Anya and her teen attitude. As always, Honey's world building is impeccable. It's always the story that keeps me glued to the page. Honey Phillips is a Master story teller, who has found the way to spin a story that is magical.

I love the treasured stories. The Cire are so protective , including Selik. He has gone through a lot in his life especially after the Red Death. I loved how he sensed that something major was about to happen when he went to search for survivors of a crash instead of sending someone else.
I really liked Corinne. Her devotion to her "family" was enduring. She too is protective . Loved how she kept her promise to Mikoz's mother.
Anya is going through a lot as well. She is smart and observant for her age. She has good insight on everything.
I loved the inner thoughts of their options for the future. That they support and make decisions together.
Loved the twists and surprises. POV of both Corinne and Selik. Action throughout, and of course steam to the eventual romance. The worldbuilding was exceptional.
As always the HEA was well deserved and earned.

I Absolutely Loved This Story!

Selik is a Cire Warrior who lost his wife and daughter to the Red Death ten years ago. Corrine is a human whose husband died a year ago and was captured by aliens along with her stepdaughter Anya. While being held captive a Cire woman is dying and asks her to take care of her son. The ship crashes from being in a battle with Selik's ship and Corrine, Anya and baby Mikoz run into the woods because they didn't want to be captured again. Selik finds them and they both instantly feel a connection that surprises them. There is so much more that happens in the story but I don't want to give the best parts of it away. What I really enjoyed about this book was that they were able to feel love again without minimizing what they had before. It wasn't the same kind of love, it was actually stronger and different but that didn't diminish the love they did have. What an amazing feel good story. I just loved it!

This is a fun sci-fi romance. It’s the 14th book in the Treasured by the Alien series of standalones and can be read out of order.

Human FMC Corinne is stranded on a strange planet after being kidnapped by aliens and is trying to care for her stepdaughter and an alien baby she rescued. Luckily, MMC Selik, a Cire commander and warrior, is there to save her and bring her to safety.

This is a fun, fast-paced story with insta-love, found family, and heartfelt moments. I liked that the story covered a good amount of time and space, showing life aboard a spaceship as well as on different planets.

I really enjoyed this cozy installment in the series and can’t wait to see which Cire hero gets his HEA next.

"Not hers biologically, but hers in every way that mattered."

Corinne is between a rock and a hard place when she takes a leap of faith and places her trust in Selik. This woman has risked her life, protecting two children as any mother would, regardless of biological bonds.

As the story unfolds, and Anya confesses to some very relatable struggles with Corinne, she admits that it was one quality, above all the others, that bridged the gap between them.

Selik has baggage from his own past, but he sees this little family, fighting for one another, cheering one another on, creating a bond, and life he wants to be a part of.

I fell for all of these characters, together. The family they formed, faults, flaws, imperfections.... and joyous love, as they built a life together, not looking for the easy answers, or quick fixes, but to build something special, together.

This series always has had a special place in my heart and on my bookshelf. The Cire Warriors are my favorite sci-fi champions of abducted human women. Selik is a gem. He is still dealing with losing his family to the Red Death, but he is inexplicably drawn to Corinne. This is an intriguing story. It starts when Corinne crashes on an unknown planet with her teen step-daughter and a Cire infant in her care. To say I LOVED it is an understatement. Honey gives us just enough tension throughout. I was so worried about what would happen as the story unfolded. This is the most multi-faceted Treasured by an Alien book to date. I love the family theme that blossoms in this story. I believe Selik, Corinne, Anya, and baby Mikoz will steal your heart. This is an early holiday treat from Honey Phillips!

Corinne is alone trying care for her stepdaughter Anya and an alien baby Mikoz that she has been entrusted to protect and care for by his mother who passed. So when a tall male alien shows she has the choice to trust in him and his vow to protect them or find another way. Thank goodness Selik is not only honorable her mate lol.
Selik follows his instincts to go after a ship and he finds his mate and mixed family in the process.
They have grief to overcome together but they have a future too. I loved that this group of characters finds a good home and life after the tragic beginning of their story. These males always make the best mates for these human females. I just love it’s all or nothing with them. Which they always pick all.

When grief becomes hope for the future

“Now you and the children have reminded me that life continues even after loss. That building something new does not dishonor what came before.”

Utterly moving and beautifully written profound story of trauma and loss that turns into newfound family and love. Corrine, her stepdaughter Anya, and adopted son Mikoz, are struggling to survive after the ship they were abducted from crashes. Selkirk, an alien commander finds them and so begins a wonderful journey to become a family unit. Roadblocks occur but the heart wants what the heart wants and I didn’t want this story to end.

two survivors paths cross

Wonderful and surprising twist from many storylines.
Love stories that keep focusing on the couple growing to love and thrive together.
Have request for author. How about the commander of the ship he had been on start tracking all hybrid Circ couples and hybrids and pure ones outside of their original home planet. Let them formalize via genetic testing that the Circle males can mate with other species. Start a movement to help give hope to the many males that have been without hope. As well send some of them to protect the pure Circle women in other worlds from the fanatics. As well go under cover in home world to weed out those working with slavers. Let the truth come out.

This was an absolute joy to read. The way Honey creates her characters, and storyline, to give us exactly what we need. You are such an amazing story teller Honey, it just melts my heart.

The Cire are a race that go above and beyond what anyone would consider normal. Their immense capacity to love, protect and nurture is a testament to their species. The connection that Selik shares with Corinne, Anya, and baby Mikoz is utterly perfection in every sense of the word.

I can't say enough of how much I loved their story. It makes me want to read the whole series again. I hope we hear more from our Cire warriors.....Maybe Tarak? He played such a vital role in this HEA 💜💜.

Anya ..love her character

I’ve always loved this series. The story concept follows a familiar pattern, but each book brings something different. It’s the characters—the way they’re written and the unique personalities they bring to the story—that make every installment engaging and worth reading.

The only thing I would critique—just from my own perspective—is that the story’s momentum slowed a bit once Selik and Corrine landed on their new home planet. Their dynamic during that section didn’t feel as gripping as the rest of the read.

It was the children who really brought the story to life—especially Anya. She has a tough exterior, a touch of teenage anxiety, and a mind that’s eager to learn—traits that can sometimes make it hard for her to connect with others. Her sharp wit, sassy comebacks, and brilliant mind still add so much spark to the pages, and she ends up stealing every scene she’s in.
I love this series and I will keep on reading the books

Awesome

I’m telling you the books in this series just keep getting better. I love this book. I think it’s my favorite so far. Corrine was already overwhelmed by having her stepdaughter, Anya, both from earth and a pure blooded cire infant to protect. An infant that is not supposed to exist thanks to the red death. They are prisoners until they are saved by Selik. Throughout the book, he does everything in his power to protect even giving up his command. After they find a place the book still is amazing and exciting and not over. I always want a book to extend beyond they meet they fall in love the end. And this book does it. They have an amazing, strange, diverse family, and then you add a baby that is half human and half cire. Great book.

Wow!! Corinne and Selik's story is fantastic. When you read this series, you can feel the emotions of the characters. My favorite passage in this book is page 100 of the paperback, "Courage is not the absence of fear. It is moving forward despite it." Truer words were never said. Corinne is coming to terms with her and Anya's abduction, her taking responsibility for Mikoz (a Cire baby) whose mother died, and coming to the realization that Selik is the male for her. Selik has immediate feelings for Corinne and her children but is uncertain after he lost his family many years ago. These survivors have a family, home on a planet they ran to, love and friends plus the happiest ending you could have.

Beautiful story

Right from the start, you could tell this story was different. Selik doesn't try to fight against his attraction to Corinne. He saves her and her stepdaughter Anya and their story from there is really packed with fear of the Cire Counsel and bounty hunters or others who can't be trusted to not turn them in. The baby Corinne saved is a true miracle. Little Mikoz is a wonderful tie that pulls them together even stronger. Anya is a terrific teen character also. She has had times of rebellion, but being stolen from earth brings her full circle to loving Corinne and eventually Selik. Really good story with so many touching moments and such a good way to move forward for all of them. Really beautiful.

Baby for the Alien Warrior by Honey Phillips is part of the Pleasured by the Alien series. Corinna is protecting her teenage step daughter and a Cire baby after crashing on a remote planet followingczbduction. Then they are rescued by Selik, a widowed Cire who lost his mate and child to a plague. Now he must protect what could be the only surviving pure Cire baby znd the two human females. He'll do anything to keep them safe, even giving up his command, hiding away on a remote planet, becoming a fisherman. Wonderful story of found family and learning to love again after losing it once.

This was such a sweet addition to the Treasured by the Alien series! There wasn't as much action as I normally expect in this series, but it was wonderful regardless. Cire warriors are such perfect gentlemen that you can't help falling in love with them each time. The found family element was so strong in this story and I absolutely loved that element. Selik and Corinne were such a great couple too. The Cire babies always sound so unbelievably cute. And seeing previous characters really tops it for me. Another great read by Honey Phillips!.

Another hit!

I have read all of honey phillips books in this series. I read a lot of romantasy type books for my own form of escapism, and hers are a guaranteed relief from deep and dark! Whenever I get an overdose of dark, then hers are the perfect antidote. There is always a HEA with an engaging storyline and likable characters. Most importantly, to me, they are not stupidly written with grade school language and plots. The intimate scenes are believable and not a ridiculous 10 page
manual which becomes yawningly overdone and laughable! I always look forward to her new releases :-)

So Many Changes

Corrine Hale has been through so many changes: marriage and stepmotherhood to a resentful teen named Anya, widowhood, single stepmotherhood, and then abduction by aliens Calle Vedickians. While captive she comes to be the “adoptive” mother to a Cire infant named Mikoz whose mother died. And then, when comes the escape pod crash on a desert planet. Things really pick up when they are rescued by a Cire warrior named Selik dar’Tacharan.
When they are rescued, the real adventure begins as Selik strives to keep this little family safe from the Cire Council and build a new life.

HONEY PHILLIPS HAS DONE IT AGAIN!!!

I want to thank Honey Phillips for creating this series. Yes, there are similarities in 14 books but the protagonists' stories are different enough to keep you interested. Corinne and Selik are older, lonely and they fall in love. I like where the story begins after Corianne and Anya are kidnapped and crash land on a different planet.

I hope, eventually, that Mikoz grows up to be a warrior and will get his own book. It would be very interesting to learn about his mother and where his biological father may be.

I haven’t read any of the other books in this series, but this seemed like a stand alone.

I found this book to be a bit dull. There’s installed with no build up. No worldbuilding. No descriptions of the other aliens. The main characters weren’t very deep.

When the FMC gets pregnant, it appears that all alien females have the same gestation term, symptoms, etc.

I didn’t understand why the Council had power on this far flung world. It’s briefly mentioned that there’s basically an embassy for non-space faring aliens who are kidnapped that is organized enough to repatriate them. But… is there a legal system that would prevent someone from stealing your baby?

Another Treasure!
I always enjoy these “Treasured by an Alien” stories, with those frisky (and needy) tails! Each of the characters in this new family has become a favorite. Selik, for taking on this little mismatched family and falling in love with them. Corinne, for her courage and love of those in her care. Anya, for her inquiring mind and love of her ‘found’ family. Mikoz, for love of his precocious little Cire self. I get a such a kick out of Anya’s relationship nudging! As always, a delightful, fascinating story from this prolific author. I’ve read them all with pleasure!

Rainy weekend is the perfect time reading especially with this beauty of a book.
Baby for the Alien Warrior (Treasured by the Alien Book 14) @honeyphillipsauthor
I have read and reviewed the previous 13 books, this series is incredibly special with tender storytelling of found families in addition to loving/protecting each other through impossible circumstances and ever present threat of danger.
All books end in a satisfying HEA with spice, tenderness and utter devotion.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

These Treasured books always bring me so much happiness. And this one especially touched my heart. I loved every character we were given. And they all had such emotional depth to them. Corinne who is fierce and loyal and filled with so much love. Selik who is still full of grief but also love. Anya who has so much strength and maturity. I loved reading about them and how they make a family with little Mikoz. This story has love, humor, healing, wonderful spice and a small hint of danger. I loved it.

I did receive an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
