Follows Isla and Camron. Isla is going to a party with her sister and dad, with the expectation of her sister finding a husband there. Camron and Isla make eye contact, Isla starts to head his way to dance with him, get interrupted by someone else asking to dance. In the whole 3 minutes she is dancing with someone else, Camron goes to Isla’s dad and is like “lemme marry her” and dad says yes. How does Isla find out about this? Camron asks her to dance, they chat for a bit and have good banter but when the dance ends, Camron makes some snarky comment like “my wife shouldn’t do that.” This cause Isla to spiral and I kid you not, she leaves the party and marries this man the NEXT DAY.
Their banter was fun but GOD this woman is stupid. She really wants to make Camron suffer for the situation she is in, when she should really be blaming her dad for just agreeing to this. Her dad & sister aren’t even invited to the wedding. The speaking was fine but I was VERY happy they didn’t talk during the smut scenes. It was a quick read, really surface level stuff.
Camron and Isla’s story is one typical of thee times but with such emotion and depth added. You feel their emotions and wants as the author spins their tale. Their characters and feelings are related to the reader and become a draw to their story. Makes you wish to be a part of it!
Isla went to a matching party expecting to help her sister find a husband. She was shocked when Camron saw her and claimed her. The story progressed with growth by the characters and was very captivating. Thoroughly enjoyable.
A very nice story of how strong willed Isla tries to control Laird Camron after marriage. She is sure spirited but it takes a great man to prove no matter the danger he is there.
Sweet, possessive love story and a quick read. Loved the way Isla and Camrons love progressed, love at first sight for him, and he just had to have her.
