wow. over one hundred years ago, the teachers of Chicago formed a union, faced incredible resistance and Margaret Haley helped their formation. Haley was also busy exposing corporations that did not pay taxes and corrupt politicians. how little has changed in Illinois and the nation since the years Haley was active in fighting for public education and equality.
