I thought running would fix everything. Instead, it brought me to… him.
Fleeing my own wedding in the dead of winter through the mountains of Colorado wasn’t exactly how I envisioned the so-called happiest day of my life.
And I definitely didn’t foresee my car breaking down in the middle of a snowstorm and being rescued by the largest, most terrifying man I’ve ever laid eyes on.
Or being forced to the altar and bound to that same man in the most humiliating wedding ceremony ever created.
But now I’m his. His wife, his property, his Little girl. His to cherish, his to claim, his to punish in a million different painful, shameful ways.
All other gifs were of young kids and that was too icky for a story about a daddy and little girl. I've read several of the Forbidden Pleasures Island and the more I read, the more I thought I'm not the target audience nor fully engaged in this dynamic.
It's the usual stuff to be found in a Sadie Minx book. And there's this debate in my mind that I like it/don't like it, which is the main reason I've started a new series in this world.
The Forbidden Pleasures series will focus on the tradesmen who helped to build the resort on Pleasure Island. We are invited into a family of siblings: 6 men and 1 woman who are all deep in this age play. You may recall them from cameos in Pleasure Island books. Now they have their very own books to feature in and their special little girls.
Axel is the eldest brother, finds a runaway bride on his mountain (Melanie) and falls into insta love with her. She takes some getting used to the lifestyle and the induction is challenging and difficult at times
But there were rewards. Yes, it's considered a reward if you are into these kinds of things.
To be honest, not much happens that isn't sex related. Frequent running away and punishment and then a wrap up for the HEA
This is a simply wonderful first book in series with Axela and Laine the little girl he had rescued Melanie had run from the wedding by climbing out the window and then had stolen the van that belonged to the church and had driven into a snowstorm, dressed in just her wedding dress her vehicle had broken down and she had been freezing on the front seat until she was found by two brothers. Axel had known as soon as he found her that she was his little girl, the one he had been waiting such a long time to find her could tell she was suffering heavily from the cold and had rushed her to his family’s home where his brothers and sister were waiting to find their own littles. Melanie had been surprised when she had awoken in Alex’s home where she was being treated like a little girl, she had also been married to her Daddy and had been totally unprepared for the kindness his brother and sister had shown her and she was to call the Aunt and Uncle and in no time at all she quickly came to love them all. As the story continues and the escapades that Laine gets up to leave her with a red bottom at times however, she always knows that she is loved and doted on by her new large and loud lumberjack family. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.
Melanie is escaping her soon to be marriage when she is found by Axel and Dane. Axel wants what Maxwell and all his friends have, a little for his own. But they went to NY to find theirs. Where was he going to find his. Mother nature provided. When they spy a vehicle in need, Axel finds his forever. But he can’t keep her, right? If you read Mommy Darkest, you already know this crew. We have Grayson, the youngest and sister. Then we have Axel, Dane, Ford, Elias, and twins Colt and Bram. We definitely have a bunch of stories with all of them to come.
Melanie feels like she is trapped in her life. When Axel brings her back to the house, her life takes a major change. I can understand her wanting to escape. She has never experienced anything like what Axel is showing her. It’s all new. To give up all control to Axel it the hardest part. I have to give her credit, she does try to escape but she ends up with a sore butt. With the help of friends, they open her eyes. Axel gives her security as well as passion. It was definitely a rough start. Now what is the deal with Sheriff Reese Donnelly. Why is Gray upset with her? And who is Josie? Bram knows her but by a different name, Bennett.
I thought this was a great start to a great new series..I love how in this new Forbidden Pleasure series bring us back to the Island with Maxwell Stone being a part of this book too!! We meet Axel Thorn and his siblings who find Lanie in a van 1/2 frozen to death because she was on the run from her own wedding that she wanted no part of. Right away Axel AKA DADDY finds an instant attraction to Lanie and declares that she will not only become his BABY GIRL (see a theme here) but she will be his wife too!! This was a quick read for me because I just didn’t put it down. See how this couple and the whole Thorne family become as a true family unit.. Esp when there’s a very nosy sheriff who is just looking for something having to do with the Thorne’s. I think I can see another book coming and hope sheriff Reese is a great part of it. Staying tuned to see what brother or sister is coming next. HINT HINT. I NEED MORE!! I received this as an ARC so I cannot just giveaway everything but I will tell you that I did really enjoy this book and purchased the E-Book too
If you ever doubted that Sadie Minx was the DARKER side of Stella Moore, this book will put that thought to rest. Melanie is the runaway bride, jumping out of a window to get away from the ceremony, but that’s as far as her plan is thought out. Planning and thinking ahead are not her strong suits. Fortunately, she is “rescued” by Alex, but she finds that to be a fate worse than death. Alex is a Daddy looking for a Little and he has decided that is exactly what Melanie will be. There is no consideration for her feelings, no consideration for her wants, and absolutely NO consent on her part! He believes the response to anything he finds to his disliking should be a stern punishment via spanking, soaping, belting, or any other punishment he feels fits the crime. His brothers and sister are of the same ilk. While Melanie desperately tries to get away she is thwarted at every turn and punished in every manner. A sometimes very difficult read and were it not for the sexual gratification that Melanie receives from Alex I may not have finished it. But sticking it out led to a very satisfying HEA in the end (literally!). If total domination requiring complete submission in all aspects turns your crank, then your motor is guaranteed to rev high. 5 STARS
DNF - fantasy or not this is a FORCED regression story
I read up to 31% and should’ve stopped sooner. Let’s breakdown the “story”:
1) Starts with the FMC trying to escape a forced marriage by her parents, she “escapes” only to be kidnapped and is threatened with immediate and often unnecessary punishment if she doesn’t act like a toddler — mindless rule following, acting like a young child (diaper wearing, forced pacifier-gag, doing what your to,d without question).
2. Author immediately jumps right to forceful second marriage attempt and when FMC balks she’s punished and forced to regress to “babyhood”.
3. The author attempts to justify the actions of this is “just how things are in their world.” NEWSFLASH this is not indicative of a healthy DD/lg relationship and is abuse and non-consensual compliance sexual abuse.
For a real depiction of “healthy” age-play relationships read Kate Oliver books or the MC Daddies books by Laylah Roberts.
Who knew I could fall in love with a mountain man! But after reading this incredible first story in the series I most definitely did! Axel is the oldest in his family and when he comes upon Melanie and saves her, he knows he found his Little girl. Problem is, he needs to convince her. She ran away from one situation and now finds herself in another. As time goes on, Axel shows her how much she means to him and wants to be her Daddy. She certainly gives him a run for his money and keeps him and his family on their toes. Melanie made me laugh so many times with her antics! But I just knew she would come to realize that being with Axel is where she belongs. Their chemistry is smoking hot and I couldn’t help but love both Axel and Melanie. This story kept me so captivated that I read it in one sitting! I loved the introduction to Axel’s brothers and sister and look forward to reading their stories!
4.5 ⭐️ this is the dark side of Stella Moore and it is a delicious treat. I loved the OG series starting with Uncle Max & Tori’s story and was very surprised at the cameo! Melanie is running from one man’s arms to and another and I promise she’s happier for it. I had to chuckle a few times at Melanie’s antics because how did she think that her Daddy and Uncles and Auntie wouldn’t punish her for the bratty behavior?! I am so excited to get more of these siblings backstories and how they came to know Maxwell and the others on the island. I fear I am going to be unwell if I have to wait until the very end to get Auntie Gray’s story and we get the reason for the tension between her and the sheriff!
You know how most BDSM stories advocate Safe, Sane and Consensual? Yeah, you can forgot that. There's none of that in this story, but if you are okay with a little Wild, Crazy and Non-con, well welcome to the show. Melanie is on the run from a marriage she doesn't want when she runs out of gas in her getaway vehicle. Axel decides to rescue and keep her, immediately recognizing her as his little. She takes a bit longer to come around to the idea. We get a signature Sadie Minx "claiming" scene after the wedding that was panty melting. There is a secret with this family which we still don't know the answer to, but I'm sure we'll get the whole story eventually. Alex and little Lanie get their HEA, so all is good in my world. Bring on the next brother.
This is the first book in a new series by Sadie Minx. Melanie escapes from a forced marriage and ends up broken down on the side of the road. She is rescued by Axel, who decides she will be his little girl, whether she likes it or not. Then there are his five brothers and one sister, all named à la 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers', which is one of my favorite movies. Axel starts as he means to go, and Lanie, her little girl name, quickly learns to toe the line, whether she means it or not.
This is definitely a dark, non-consensual book, but Lanie ultimately consents. Axel and Lanie have their HEA, and we get a quick look at the next brother's story. I enjoyed reading this story and, even though it is a good length, read the story in one sitting.
This is the first book in what is going to be an amazing series Forbidden Pleasures Mountain. This book hits the ground running and does not stop. Melanie runs from her wedding. Escaping in a van. Which breaks down. She is alone and freezing, only the wedding gown on her back. When she is found by Axela, who immediately knows she is the one, he takes her to his family home. Laine finds a whole new world of family, shenanigans and love. The characters are lovingly written with thought and attention to detail. I love the way the plot evolves pulling you in to the world as Laine comes to love Axelaand her new family This story is an amazing welcome into a new series which I am looking forward to so much. I highly recommend this book and author.
garbage. no idea what other reviews are raving about.
There’s absolutely no lead into this story. It starts and you get zero background about the FMC/her motivation to flee in the beginning. Then you’re thrown right into the Thorne family with zero back story about their history, who they are, what the “island” is, etc.
This book clearly banks on you having read the previous series, even though this is NOT within that series. It assumes prior knowledge of that series, which I didn’t have and made the story hard to follow.
Additionally the character development is absolutely zero and super frustrating. The whole book is garbage, and I would NOT recommend it.
I loved the morally grey billionaire Daddies from the first series and I am totally here for morally grey lumberjack Daddies. Axel and Melanie’s story felt unique even though it followed the same basic premise from the previous series. Melanie’s internal monologue was witty and sarcastic and Axel was intense and broody in all the best ways. There were plenty of spicy punishments and extra curricular activities throughout and the couple got their HEA. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series!
Melanie runs away from her wedding because she can’t believe she is being forced to marry a man she has barely met. Good thing Axel find her because she leaves in a stolen church van, runs out of gas and is on her way to hypothermia. Axel thinks he has hit the jackpot with his little runaway. Now he just needs to convince her to stay and “enjoy” his lifestyle. The chemistry between the two is off the charts, but Melanie just can’t get on board with some of the choices Axel is forcing upon her. Will she stay when she sees the opportunity to escape?
It says book one of two, I hope that's it's book one of seven. Every member of the family needs their own little. I fell hard for all the characters, they are real and alive. I enjoyed all their interactions and am looking forward to reading more about them. Melanie is sweet, strong and sassy. Axel is just the right Daddy for her, strict, soft and very loving. I received an advanced reader copy of this book and am leaving an honest review. This book has lots of hot erotic sexy scenes and spankings that comes with so much love.
A delightfully delicious decadent first in the series.
Dark, depraved and oh so good. Sadie Minx's writing combines all the yummy naughty stuff with a sense of humour.
I spent a good amount of time astounded at her imagination and chuckling at her main female character. Lanie is portrayed at the start as outraged and absolutely adorable. And shenanigans, oh the shenanigans.
With this new crew of Little seeking Daddies, I look forward to more imaginative scenarios and inventive acquisitions. Oooh, and a little mystery is hinted.
Sooooooooo good. The setting and the characters are pure perfection and I didn’t want it to end. It was so steamy and yummy and hot. Axel is the best Daddy and Lanie is so cute as she becomes a part of the family. Her bratty shenanigans had me laughing and wishing for more. This book is a must read and it’s one I will read over and over again.
Side note: Daddy Axel is MEAN for making her wait a whole week and then alllllllllllllllll day 😩😩😩 freakin sadist and he gets major side eye 😒
I just love the world Sadie Minx has created. How effortlessly characters from previous books can flow in and out. This book starts with Melanie getting ready to be married. There is something to be said about having a winter wedding…anyways, that is if you actually WANT to have a wedding. Melanie is willing to risk life and limb (literally) to escape the pending doom. So she does what any rational person does. Jumps out a window and steals the church van to make her great escape. The roads are bad with the storm and before long with her fast speed she crashes the van. The Thorne family five brothers and one sister see the van..Axel the eldest is immediately smitten. Decides then and there Melanie is his and no one will take her away. The only person not apart of the discussion is Melanie. Will she go along with this idea?
When I think of a daddy he’s not a sadist. And Axel is definitely a sadist and also mentally immature. The entire family seem mentally backwards like a backwoods Appalachian creepy from a horror movie family. It started pretty good. But I can’t get behind the h desperately running from a life she feel so controlled and completely suffocating and just basically rolling over in a matter of a few days to an even more controlled suffocating life with not 1 but 7 people. I just can’t suspend my imagination that much.
Ok I think I misread what this book was about. Now I'm not judging, but the whole DD/LG thing, is just not for me. Especially when it involves the whole diaper stuff. However, there was 2 reasons why I finished it. One, I made the mistake, not the books' fault. Two, it had some funny moments. Those funny moments were the only reason I gave 3 stars. They really made it worth reading. If this is your trope, then I'd definitely recommend. If not, then I'd recommend you keep looking. On to the next.
Absolutely perfect start to this spinoff series. Sadie did not disappoint—seeing characters from the original series woven in so seamlessly was such a treat. The chemistry is filthy, depraved, and ridiculously good, with well-developed characters, addictive dynamics, and a thick plot that moves at just the right pace. And those spankings? Red-hot. This author has truly outdone herself yet again. 🔥
This is the first in a new series, and this is Melanie and Axel’s story. Melanie ruins from her own wedding in the dead of winter and is stranded during a snowstorm when ere car breaks down. Axel comes to Melanie’s rescue, and claims he is her “daddy”. This is an east to read story, with action, forced proximity, discipline, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an enjoyable, twisted, and unpredictable page turner. I look forward to reading more from this author.
Axel and Melanie were interesting to read about and I enjoyed their story. From the moment Axel saves Melanie she is his. Melanie struggled against the total change of her life but I liked the way she sees things after her visit with Victoria. Lanie was definitely good at getting herself into trouble but I liked the way the whole family loved her. I look forward to more books.
I read an ARC and am leaving my honest and voluntary review.
mountain man Daddy with a darker vibe but not dark
This is a AGE play DDLG book. It has a darker twist in the fact that he kinda takes his h and doesn’t let her escaping kind of forcing her into staying with him and this dynamic. This is a pain off from this authors island books so it’s a large family all daddy doms who wanna find their Little. I love their big bulking mountain me lol.
Absolutely incredible! From start to finish this has been amazing and it is now my favorite Sadie Minx book. I’m already super excited about the books for the rest of the siblings! The naughtiness and perseverance of Melanie was hilarious and a great addition to the forbidden pleasure world. Stella Moore/ Sadie Minx keeps surpassing expectations of greatness.
Daddy’s Runaway Bride is the first book in the Forbidden Pleasures Mountain series. This is Axel Thorne and Melanie’s story.
It’s a wowser! I am addicted to these Daddy’s romances and Sadie Minx isn’t helping! Or rather she is helping my addiction to giving me more of these books. I can’t wait for the next book Daddy’s Broken Bride already preordered.
A great start to a new series. Loved everything about it, just please don't make Gray the last to find her little like Cat in the other Daddy series I just can't wait to read her story.
