February 18, 2026This is a super charged, emotional, addictive story that will keep you entertained from cover to cover.
Sebastian lost the love of his life, his wife, and ever since then he has been living with the pain and grief of it all. He has become elusive, quiet, controlled. That is until faith puts him face to face (in a mix -up meet cute kind of way) with Simone during a flight. The attraction is instant, their connection is palpable, but he fights it all as he feels that is a mistake. Well, it all gets harder as she becomes one of his employees, working directly with him. What comes here is the most delicious and in way hearfelt slow burn charged with a pull-push tension as he fights his ghosts and her desires. She is breaking his walls, testing his desires, and showing him that there is light again, but his secrets are always weighing in the back, and when they come back, you will want to be there to see the sparks!

This is a compelling story that is powerful and had my emotions in an uproar. His world was once complete in every way until the death of his wife leaving behind pieces. When he connects with Simone their first encounter is electric and nothing would be the same because now she is a part of his world in more ways than one. Where his wife was his anchor and soft spoken, Simone is demanding testing his calibers, but she is also holding on to a secret and when it sees the light of day will she and Sebastian make it through to find their path to happiness. This story kept me glued to the pages and connected to the main characters from start to finish.
