The award-winning Bound Across Realms series continues with book #2!
Abby Gray might have peaked in high school when she scored a golden ticket into the writer’s room of a hit TV show. These days, she’s the development director at Ephron College—hustling for funds, dodging her own writing dreams, and leaning a little too hard on her best friend, Khari Nasser.
Khari isn’t just her partner in banter—he’s a hot-shot producer who disappears for months at a time on “movie sets.” What Abby doesn’t know? He’s actually a Blue Elf, slipping back to his realm to produce a series inspired by the very ideas she used to gush about with him. And he’s been hopelessly in love with her since day one.
When Abby accidentally follows Khari into the Elf Realm, all bets are off. Between secrets, a magical longing, and a realm buzzing with Elves, Orcs, Goblins, and a cozy café, friendship won’t cut it anymore. And with fate weaving tighter around them, one thing’s this is where the fun—and the spice—begin.
After a decade in academia and a decade as a developer, Aeva wants to focus on writing fun stories that always end in an HEA. And because she has some trauma from all of the classical literature written by men that she had to read again and again as an English major, she focuses on nearly-perfect men and imperfect women: the perfect duo.
I devoured this book like Khari devours his favourite dessert (and if you’ve read it, you know exactly what I mean 👀).
I loved this book! Abby and Khari completely stole my heart (and my attention—I nearly missed my train stop because I was too busy following them into another realm).
Abby and Khari’s chemistry? Off. The. Charts. Every glance (soft stalking) and every flirty moment, had me kicking my feet and smiling.
A hidden identity, magical secret realm, fated mates, and spice that hits just right, this story has it all. And can we take a moment to appreciate the… anatomical creativity of an Elf? Stripy and, as Abby so perfectly says, “vibrates like a dildo.” I laughed, I blushed, I highlighted.
This book is cozy fall fantasy with a side of coffee and chaos. A fun, flirty, magical escape that proves best friends really do make the best fated mates.
This is book 2, but I read this standalone and did not feel I was missing out, although, I will be going back to read book 1.
Thank you to the author, Aeva Vox for a chance to read an early copy!
I reaaaaaally loved this book! I read it in 24 hours, and it was the perfect getaway for how stressed I have been feeling lately. The writing style was different from my recent reads, but I really enjoyed it!
Abby and Khari had me swooning over them. They have such great chemistry; I was eating it up!
The world building is top notch, and there are no holes in the plot. The author is so intentional with the writing that our FMC, Abby, does not know a single thing that she's not supposed to. This continues even past the point where she should be questioning things. However, her friendship with Khari is so sweet that she trusts him enough to trust what he tells her. Admittedly, that's their downfall, but you have to read the book to find out about that. ;)
I have to say it again: I loved this book so much. I am going to have to make time to read the first book in the series now!
This narrative presents a cozy, unique, and immersive fantasy world.
Though this is the second installment in a series, it functions well as a standalone. I think the premise is fun enough, that even if you aren’t wanting to invest in starting a series right now, it’s worth giving this a read.
I personally found this to be a quick and enjoyable read; there were some points where the pacing dragged a bit, and the characters, Abby particularly, had me wanting to scream in mild frustration, but I did appreciate the character growth across the narrative from both of the leads.
A perfect book for cozying up with a blanket and cup of tea to enjoy the fall season.

ARC REVIEW Scripted fate is a very cute, low spice fantasy romance. I loved the way that the realms were separated and how magic made the elf's, orcs, etc look human while they were on earth. I had a difficult time getting sucked into the world but it was super cute and wholesome.
The MMC had lots of faults but worked on them in his redemption arc. The FMC was slightly annoying and very dense about magic.
Another new author for me and will be following after having enjoyed two of her books so far. This features Abby, who works in a college as a development director. Her best friend is Khari, but unbeknownst to her, he is an Elf! And Blue! :) This was a fun read, with two characters, who really like each other but have hidden parts to themselves. loved it !! love this series !! love Khari and Abby... this is their love story... a fun fast paced action rom/com drama... they've been best friends forever... and crushed on each other since day 1... but, he has a secret... he's a blue elf, not human as she is... this is so good !!! so funny !!! and yes, they get into a bit of trouble !!!.

Khari is an elf, a blue elf who has been in love with ( obsessing) over a human for over 10 years. Abby knows nothing of his reality. As he travels between realms between his own and hers. Until she follows him home on accident and is exposed to a whole reality she should never have known about. Can they overcome species/race differences?
This is a sweet read and has a lot of reality infused, good emotions and situations with fully fleshed out characters.
Abby is a human who works at Ephron college who wants to write scripts in the human realm unbeknownst to her Khari who she met during college is an elf in disguise. As he flits in and out of her life as a writer/producer at Kolair productions he begins to realise she means more to him than elf society will allow. Can a human and elf have a happy ending? Beautifully written with endearing characters
Thank you to Aeva for providing me with an advanced copy of Scripted Fates. As always, my opinions are my own!
I think this was a cute and short friends to lovers with a bit of spice sprinkled in! Khari was hiding some very interesting secrets that Abby had to work through and come to terms with and I loved to watch them work through everything together!
I love the friendships throughout the story but the love that comes through between Abby and Khari is deep and compelling with a bit of sweet steam tossed in. The characters are vivid and engage the reader and each other very well.
