When event planner Jules Emerson lands the 75th anniversary Christmas Eve ball at iconic Chadsworth Estate, she believes this is her chance to take her company to the next level. However, the last remaining heir has other plans for the stately home, and when those plans threaten to ruin the last gala in the estate’s history, Jules must find a way to save the ball and her company’s reputation. Forced to work alongside the prickly heir proves to be a challenge, especially as his frosty demeanor thaws and she gets to know the man—a strikingly handsome man—behind the expensive suit.
Tyler Reynolds walked away from the family business, putting a strain on his relationship with his father. With his father gone, he’s back to right the wrongs of his past and make something of the empty estate he’s inherited. Determined to give back to the small town where his great-great-great-grandfather started Reynolds Enterprises a century and a half ago, Tyler has big plans for Chadsworth. But the event planner hired for the last Christmas Eve ball is proving to be a thorn in his side. Worse, he’s drawn to her beauty and her drive. Something he never expected. If he's not careful, she may be the one to tear down the carefully constructed walls that have protected him since striking out on his own.
Can Jules make her mark and save the ball while falling for the man trying to stop it? Is Tyler doomed to make the same mistakes, or will he finally learn there’s more to life than work? When a mysterious picture leads to a shocking discovery, Jules and Tyler may uncover Christmas magic of their own.

Looking for a fun, fluffy Christmas read that's super easy to get through? This one is drenched in holiday vibes and is the perfect book to curl up with!
The story follows our heroine as she tries to run a big holiday event for her charming town, enlisting the help of the seemingly reluctant Tyler. The real star of the show, however, might be her best friend Anna, the ultimate meddling bestie who is constantly and hilariously pushing the two main characters together.
This was such a cozy read! The small-town setting was super cute, and I have to say, I absolutely loved Tyler's mom. She was a scene-stealer!
But... the actual romance was a bit of a mixed bag for me. It's a very slow burn, which I often like, but this one felt a little too passive. Most of their "moments" happened because Anna engineered them, not from their own natural pining. I kept waiting for more internal longing!
And the ending, after all that slow build-up, felt kinda rushed with a quick time skip. I wish I'd seen a bit more of them as an actual couple.
Even though I didn't fully connect with the romance, the overall storyline was still quite entertaining and I enjoyed it! It's a cute, festive read, just go in knowing the chemistry is more about orchestrated moments than electric, natural sparks.
⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars — A sweet and cozy seasonal story, perfect for when you want all the Christmas vibes, even if the romance itself feels more orchestrated than organic.
