There are books you'll read, that you just can't stop talking about; "In The Arms of Grace" is that book. This was a good read. Thank you to the author for giving me this ARC.

The story follows Ella, a young girl, who sells her body as a means of survival. She came from a dysfunctional home, which traumatized her, hence she ran away at an early age. Then there's Micheal, sent by God, to help Ella retrace her steps back to Him. Did he succeed in this assignment? You'll find out when you read the book.

Take home lesson: God will not come down from heaven to help you; if you're waiting for such miracle, cease operation. What you should pray for is that, God should position you in the way of your destiny helper(s) and give you the grace to know how to act when they come. Ella lacked this wisdom because, she kept blaming God for not coming to her help, while she couldn't see and value the people He placed around her.

I loved Ella's character. She was a resilient lady, and I understood every pain she went through, but at the same time, she was annoying. How she backslided? I didn't see it coming at all. Even when she rededicated her life, I felt skeptical about that because, I didn't want another heartbreak. 😂

Michael is a real book boyfriend. He was so sweet and patient with Ella. I laughed so hard at his reaction when Ella offered herself to him; I could feel the temptation too. 😂 Michael is sweet guy, fr.

I also loved Uyai, Pastor Grace and Emem. These women surprised me, especially Emem. The Nigerian in me couldn't believe they didn't judge Ella, when she told them her story. Howwww?! It was so nice of them, fr. ❤️ I pray some of our mothers/sisters-in-Christ embrace this good trait henceforth. No more judging a person because of their past.

As for Anna, Diamond, Oga Jide and his cohorts, I pray they keep rotting in jail. Cruel humans.

In all, this book is solid, and it's a reminder that no matter how deep you are in sin, God is ever ready to accept you, if you're willing to be accepted. I highly recommend this book, so go grab your copy!

This is one of the most beautiful Christian fiction debuts I have read in recent times.
In The Arms Of Grace is a phenomenal book that reminds us of God's unending love and outstretched arms of mercy toward us.

In this story of Ella and Michael, it draws us to the fact that it is only the Lord that can personally draw people to Himself and no other. He would only use humans as messengers to begin the physical work while working on the heart.
I love how each character was developed and how vivid they stood out in the whole story. It was a delight to see individual characters adding more flesh to the story giving it the needed robustness.

I learnt that you forgive for your well-being and not the person who hurt you. Secondly, the Lord's work requires obedience. Thirdly, absolutely nobody is a write off, God can use anyone.

I would gladly recommend this book 💯💯.

A beautifully written story of pain, healing, and God’s unconditional love.
Ella’s journey from brokenness to redemption had me hooked from page one. Michael? Absolutely unforgettable.

This book reminds us that no matter how messy our past is, God’s grace is always bigger.
Highly recommended for fans of Christian fiction & emotional redemption arcs.

I will rate it a ✨4/5 stars

I didn’t expect this book to hit me this way.
Ella’s story is both heartbreaking and healing a reminder that grace truly finds you even when you’ve given up on yourself.
Michael’s character felt like hope in human form.
A beautiful, faith-filled story about love, redemption, and second chances. In the arms of Grace is one of those books that reminds you that no one is far too gone for grace. I totally recommend

There are some stories that don’t just entertain you, they minister to you. In the Arms of Grace did exactly that.

From the very first chapter, I knew this wasn’t going to be a casual read. It’s a story that shows how powerful and beautiful redemption is.

Ella’s journey explains our (believers) wrestle between guilt and grace, between who we used to be and who God is calling us to become. Her story felt so human and so redemptive. And Michael; His patience and gentleness is a sermon on its own.

The friendship between Ella and Uyai was another highlight for me. Uyai’s unwavering support and quiet love reminded me that sometimes, grace also looks like community.

I mean certain characters annoyed me, I felt like pulling out their hairs😂,
But beyond the emotions and the laughter, what stands out most is how In the Arms of Grace mirrors God’s heart, forgiving and relentless in love. A very reckless love.

If you’ve ever battled forgiving yourself or doubted if you were truly redeemable, this book is for you.

Thank you, Emediong Edem, for writing a story that reminds us that grace doesn’t just cover us, it transforms us.

If you’re looking for a book that speaks of God’s love and grace in the simplest and most beautiful way, this is the book 💫.
It is captivating and a truly wonderful read. So many moments touched me deeply ❤️.
The author writes with such sincerity that you can literally feel God’s presence on every page.
It’s one of those books that leaves you reflecting long after you’ve closed it — I smiled and felt renewed all at once 🥹 .
A gentle reminder of how much God loves us, even in our brokenness.
A must-read for anyone seeking hope, healing, and a deeper connection with God.

Some stories entertain you. Others transform you in a beautiful way. In The Arms of Grace did both to me.

From the first line (“Na ashawo I be, I no kill persin”) I knew I was in for a ride. What I didn’t expect was how much this story would touch my heart. It’s raw, emotional, faith-filled, and beautifully Nigerian. I love the fact that it explores a tribe in Nigeria that is not commonly written about. It gives a hint of that.

But most importantly, I must say that Ella, the FMC journey of brokenness and redemption moved me deeply. I also love the male MC, Michael. His quiet strength, love, patience and faith warmed my heart. But Uyai (she is just a supporting character but she is my favorite in the story), her faith, resilience, and love — broke me in the best way.

This book is about grace that pursues, love that heals, and faith that never gives up. If you loved Redeeming Love or watched War Room, then this story will feel like coming home.

My Rating - 4.65 — It's a debut worth celebrating!

It is a raw, tender, and redemptive book. In the Arms of Grace feels like coming home after a storm.. The book reflects the life of many of us... Prodigal sons and daughters of Christ, those who feel they aren't loved by God thereby making them to go astray. The book is a clear reminder that God will leave his 99 sheeps and go for that 1 lost sheep. I especially loved the relationship between Ella and her friend, a friend who prays for you is a friend indeed. And Micheal... Ohh.. I live him.. though here were times I just wanted him to avoid complications. The book is also a clear reminder that whenever one has been called by the Lord, you can't escape that mission.

In The Arms of Grace is a tender and emotionally charged story of trauma, love, faith, and the slow, fragile process that healing is.

What stands out is how intentionally the journey of healing is portrayed; there is no attempt to make it look like a walk in the park, or a stroll down the street to get ice cream. It is raw and leaves your heart aching, but that’s what makes it good.

You may cry a bit, laugh some and blush alright. Dig in with your favorite snacks and drinks by the side, and a cutsie, warm duvet. You might not be getting up until you’re done.

Nothing breaks your heart than repeatedly facing situations that shows God doesn't love you. Ella knew this and I know this. But, redemption is possible in every story and this is what Michael's love for Ella becomes. A quiet anchor and proof that God is love and loves.

For someone who is scared of the unequally yoked lovers trope, Emediong does this well.

This was a heartfelt story of redemption, faith, and second chances. It follows Ella’s journey from pain and brokenness to finding healing through God’s grace and the kindness of those He placed around her. The message of forgiveness and restoration really stood out. It was a thoughtful read that highlighted just how much no one is ever too far gone for grace.

This book wrecked me and rearranged my heart back together in the best possible way. 😭 From the very first chapter, In the Arms of Grace grabbed me by the heart and refused to let go. I felt every ache, every scar, every flicker of hope that Ella carried in her broken but beautifully defiant soul.
Ella has seen things. Her past is messy, painful, and scarred. She’s that girl who’s learned to survive, not necessarily to live. But then comes Michael, a soft-spoken, kind-hearted church brother who somehow sees light in all her darkness.
What starts as a clash of worlds becomes this tender, slow-burn story about grace, healing, and the kind of love that doesn’t try to fix you but points you to God, who can. 💞

This isn’t your sunshine-and-butterflies Christian romance. Nope. It’s gritty, raw, and honest. It digs deep into trauma, shame, and what redemption really looks like when your past keeps screaming louder than your faith. But oh, the beauty that rises from the ashes! 🕊️
And don’t even get me started on the chemistry. Tell me why I was gripping my pillow like, “Lord, help Ella and this Michael man because this tension is sizzling... borderline playing with temptation?” 😅🔥
Every character felt alive, flawed, funny, and so painfully human. Uyai broke me, Ella inspired me, and Michael... well, Michael reminded me that real love reflects Jesus. ❤️
If you loved Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, this story will absolutely tug at your soul and leave you whispering, “Grace really does find the undeserving.”
📚✨ In the Arms of Grace is more than a romance story. It’s a revival story, one that proves no one is too far gone for God’s love to reach.
