She keeps the roads honest—and the spirits on speaking terms.
When wagons bog down, animals panic, or the Wilds turn hostile, caravan shaman Anya Stormbloom does what ledgers and swords cannot—she bargains with Air, Earth, Fire, Water, and Spirit.
What should have been a routine run to Redstone turns into a shade-tainted paths, wildfire country, flooded crossings, and a market town on the brink. Each solution adds a line to her oath-ledger—and reveals a storm no shaman should face alone.
Now, a rival shaman is weaponizing the elements, cutting off trade routes to silence the Wilds for good. To protect her found family of drivers, guards, and traders, Anya must weave the elements in tandem and turn the land itself into an ally before Redstone Hold falls dark.

This book has a good story and new (to me) interesting concepts and parts of the fantasy world. I love the mix of "cozy fantasy" rather than "epic, very long, detailed fantasy". Overall, not a bad book but very shallow on getting to know the characters. It has lots of repetitive sentences and it is unrealistic how fast she moves up the shaman ladder. So 3/5 stars but if/when the next one comes out, I will read it, just bc of the fun concept! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. (I did NOT listen to the audiobook, I read it.not sure why it keeps putting me to this page to review but it does)
I really enjoyed reading Fivefold Warden. The author has created an interesting magic system, and it was a lot of fun watching Anya master it over the story's journey. This is a fairly quick book to read, but I still felt like there was a nice amount of character growth, and I enjoyed the way the friendships developed. The story also has a nice amount of action without losing its cozy vibe. Overall, this was a fun, refreshing read, and I highly recommend it.

It was a lot of fun to see the details in what makes a successful caravan. Sometimes, it is with many people contributing that makes it successful. I really liked the magic systsem. The reason for three stars is that I found the overall pace of the book quite slow.
