Dr. Julian Meier never touches without gloves. Never breaks protocol. As a researcher of werewolves, he's spent years of clinical distance studying shifters through reinforced glass.
Then Magnus walks into his lab in chains.
Six feet four of contained fury. Golden eyes that promise retribution. An alpha who signs a contract he clearly doesn't intend to honor.
Restraints. Recordings. Forced samples. Magnus endures all of Julian's tests—and never stop watching him.
Julian tells himself it's just data. Tells himself he doesn't go home and watch the footage.
"He turned his head, trying to see Magnus's face, and caught a glimpse of an expression so open, so vulnerable, it took his breath away."
Bound was crazy in all the best ways and got me out of the book slump I've been in for a while. I was already hooked at the mutual dubcon and forced bonding tags, but them pushing each other over the brink? Being able to see that need for revenge turn into gentleness and love? The execution was INCREDIBLE. I definitely consider this book to be my favorite in the series because I've never read a plot like this before, but now I'm craving more. Magnus is everything Julian needed to finally get out of his head, and Julian wants nothing more than to ease what burdens Magnus. They're a perfect match that will stick with me.
