Thank you to Zeitgeist for the gifted copy. I chose this book as someone who has been through not only the loss of family dogs, but also as a zookeeper who has lost my fair share of animals. I appreciate that the author acknowledges how difficult pet loss can be; anyone who has been through it knows. This book is a great resource to come back to for daily reflection, as it touches on different ways to acknowledge & work through grief and to cherish the memories you shared with your pet.

My Thoughts
After losing a few pets, I am deeply consumed with grief. No matter the time that passes, I still grief and miss them so much.
It is uncommon to find support for loss that presents evidenced-based approaches with so much empathy. Life After Pet loss is far more than the daily reflections, prompts, and activities presented by a highly credentialed clinician. It is a reminder that we are empowered to experience our emotions and grief imperfectly. Our pets are family members and best friends who offer unconditional support, comfort, and laughter when we need it most. The loss of a pet is no less painful than any other loss we have experienced, My experience with pet loss is long-standing.
Thanks NetGalley, Zeitgeis publishing and Author Judith Eve Rosen, LCSW for the complimentary copy of "Life After Pet Loss" I am leaving my voluntary review in appreciation.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. I decided to choose this book because just a month ago I had to say goodbye to my best friend in the world. Although I knew his time was coming, it was still something that was so painful. Reading this has made me feel as though a grief journal dedicated to him will keep his memory with me forever. All of the prompts to make space for the grief and sit with it, I found super comforting. I will be purchasing a copy once it releases, as I believe a physical copy would be more appropriate to have than an Ebook.
