She never wanted to fall in love…but fate had other plans.

A happily ever after was the stuff of fairytales and make believe for Pippa Carvalho. She never believed in destiny, or a pre-determined fate already laid out for her, that was until the day she walked down the aisle towards her soulmate. The man who had loved her since they were children. That was the day she realised how grateful she really was.

Her journey so far had been a crazy one, but she had finally found her happy ending.
Every experience.
Every regret.
And every conquest.
They had all led her to this point in life…and to this man.

Overwhelmed with love, and gratitude, she knew she needed to honour her past.

Using a journal, Pippa decides to write down her story, chronicling her stepping stones in life, and the path she walked to get to her happily ever after.

This is no fairy tale, these are the memoirs...

I’m Cas... a mother, a wife, and a writer, amongst many other things.
I’m from Birmingham, England but now live in South Derbyshire with my family.
I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember but I first published a book in 2012, and my author journey has been a hell of a rollercoaster since then.
I write because I love to write, but also because I love to read. I adore the way a book can take a reader away from reality for a while, and I want to be in the driving seat... I hope you’ll come along on a journey with me soon.

First of all some warnings...

This book has some VERY explicit sex scenes. It also has drug use, rape, and sexual assault. Promiscuous behavior and homosexuality.

Now that all those warnings are out of the way, this book was TREMENDOUS!

Pippa is a wild child, who due to something that happened as a young woman decides never to fall in love, or depend on any man.

I won't go into details because I HATE SPOILERS! But suffice it to say that this book is styled to be a memoir of Pippa and what made her into the woman she is today.

Brilliantly done and very enjoyable.

this book was a complete surprise to me in a great way, I really enjoyed the way it was started. This is a great read about Pippa and now she has settled down, married and children, it's her reflecting on her younger years. It has great humour throughout, but it takes you through her friends, upbringing and what made her the person she is today. There is plenty going on and more hot steamy reading with chance to take a breath between each stage.

A Gripping & Greatly Entertaining Story & Listen🎧

Memoirs of a Wild Child
By: Cassandra P. Lewis
Narrated by: Harley Reid

I loved the originality of this book, the story is well written with interesting storylines that grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it straight to the end. Cassandra P. Lewis is a gifted author, and it is great to see another side of her creative mind in this unique plotting and telling of the lead character’s story told from her point of view, reflections of her past memoir style while revisits and relives past events written in her journal, sort of like a journey where life led her. Some may say Pippa Carvalho was a wild child others may say she lived a wild life, I say she lived an interesting life and enjoyed it to her fullest. A successful photographer and world traveler, she met some interesting people along the way, had her fun and grew out of it to settle down with the love of her life. I admired her for living her life as she chose to live it, enjoyed herself the way she wanted and when she realized that was not want she wanted anymore she changed directions. This story is entertaining and enjoyable, life in the fast lane makes for some wild times and Pippa sure had plenty of those. Cassandra P. Lewis, thank you for another great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Ms. Lewis cast the perfect narrator to bring her characters and story to life. Harley Reid played Pippa’s role with perfection, she grasped her persona to a tee and sounded believable and just as I pictured she would sound. You could hear how much heart she put into her work as she captured the character’s emotions and projected them into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen.

Having read the author’s Mr Write series I knew what to expect and this book delivered exactly that. It was a very easy read, perfect if you don’t want to have to concentrate and as I already knew the main characters it was a bit like catching up with old friends.
I liked the style of the book, flicking between married with children and the domesticity of life and then looking back at wilder pre children days nostalgically. There are quite a lot of steamy scenes which got, ever so slightly, repetitive after a while but as i said there is good contrast between this side of the tale and the fairly pedestrian mother of young children anecdotes so there was a balance. There could’ve been a bit more of an actual storyline to make it a compelling read rather than ‘just’ a nice distraction but it was enjoyable enough and worth a read.

I had previously written a review... or so I had thought....
I adored this story, other than Mr Jackson James himself, Pippa was always one of my fave characters from the Mr Write Trilogy. She is soo outspoken and out there, she is the ultimate best friend goals, everyone needs a best friends like Pippa. She soon changed her Wild Child ways after a bad night in Thailand, through absolutely no fault of her own, through this story we see her changing into a responsible adult woman and fall completely head over heels in love with Ben, the kid that had a crush on her years before. I love that they found a love and life with each other to become the ultimate couple full of love. I wont give anymore away but its a great story, deffo worth the read :)

Having read the Mr Write series Pippa was one of my favourite characters so I was looking forward to reading this one.

I’m in two minds about what I think about it though, it’s easy to get immersed in and as I already knew the characters I still found them incredibly likeable and some of the sex scenes are hot (I wouldn’t want to recommend it to my mum that’s for sure!) However like the structure of Rafe and Matthew’s story (What Love is) I still am not a massive lover of the journal styling. I much preferred the way the original Mr Write trilogy was written.

Overall it was a nice easy read that has completed every character angle of the Mr Write series.

As with the Mr Wright series and Rafe story, pippa turn didn't disappoint. These are highly enjoyable books which are an easy read. They are of high sexual content so not a reccomendedation to read in a book club with your mum but definitely with your best friend!
Like Rafe story pippa is in the form of a diary which I quite enjoy, it's also nice to bring in characters from the Wright series so your getting a snapshot of their life from different angles.

Pippa Carvalho was the ultimate wild child. Never wanted to fall in love, wasn’t going to settle down. Yet this story starts with her on her wedding day and reflecting back on how she got here. We follow Pippa as she journals and reflects on her youth, moving between the past and the present with ease and with a few explicit sex scenes along the way.

This is an easy and enjoyable read from start to finish, with a very well written narrative.

A reintroduction to a character from the Mr Write series, voveting her own past.
This book is very explicit but it’s not cheapened in any way by this.
Well written addressing some very real moments of what if and how did it happen.
A great read

I enjoyed most of this book. I liked how it addressed and normalised that women can be sexually active and have multiple partners. But I was let down towards the end when she had settled down and she didn’t want her daughter to do the things that she had. For me this went completely against the female empowerment theme that ran through the rest of the book.

We follow the journey of Pippa, the queen of promiscuity.
This book is well written and the mixture of present and past tense works really well.
Ben (now Pippa’s husband) tamed ‘The Wildchild’ and they have two small children. But throughout the book, Pippa writes in a diary she lovingly calls ‘Vinnie’, about all the adventures she’s had in the past. Her past sexual conquests are sometimes funny, sometimes hot, but always eventful.
One minute I’m reading about Pippa’s adventure in a confession booth with a priest, the next she’s talking about nappy changing and baby feeding.
It flows really well and the characters are well developed. I know Cassie has worked really hard to bring us Pippa’s story and all that hard work has paid off.
We first meet Pippa in Cassie’s ‘Mr. Write’ series. She is the rambunctious friend of Rosie Alverez. If you’ve not read these books, you are missing out.
This book has a perfect balance of fun and seriousness. I truly recommend this book to anyone who wants an easy read.
I was so happy to receive an ARC from this talented author and my award is 4.5 stars for a job well done!

Honestly, I love this book and I love Pippa (and not just because I've spent the last many months narrating this for audiobook).

I absolutely adore the relationship between Pip and Ben and the story of how they came to be, which is done through diary excepts detailing her very promiscuous past, makes this a novel that I just couldn't put down.

Cas Lewis is one of my favourite authors and the writes characters that it is impossible not to see even just a slither of yourself in.

I definitely recomend this one if you haven't read it yet.

Read the book in one day. It takes us back over the memories of Pippa - woman who loves to live, loves to party and loves men. Until she meets her Mr. Right. It is a nice story, in places emotional.
