Loved hearing abt the actors experience and facts about the sets or design but most is a summary of the show. Also lots of duffer brother and season 5 glazing even tho we know that season was butt.

(Genuinely) this should have been double the length it was! It felt like a bunch was left out or truncated, which was a shame because the stuff that was covered was awesome!

P.S. Also not to be pedantic but why is Jurassic Park cited as one of the influential 1970s/1980s films for the show when it came out in '93? 🥴

A beautifully crafted book outlining the five seasons of the Netflix original series, Stranger Things, hits the high notes but still misses the mark for the "official story."
I was immediately struck visually with the smooth black hardcover with red foil embossed text on the cover and matching red foil gilded edge pages. With it being the definitive book on a series I've enjoyed, I purchased it without hesitation. Inside, each chapter represents a season of the series with snippets from interviews with the cast and crew, behind-the-scenes information, photographs of the sets, inspiration for the musical score, the 1980s wardrobes, practical and CGI special effects, and how all ideas came together to create a world-wide phenomenon. However, with everything it has, it's severely lacking in-depth looks at the evolving story, neglecting characters and entire storylines, and skimming over parts that weren't fan-favorites. To the casual fan, these holes may not be noticed, but for someone who dove into the series and the zeitgeist it created, it feels like a slap to the face.
I recommend this book for any fan of the series to soak in all that they can, but don't expect too much from it.

An absolutely perfect book for any Stranger Things fan!! Getting to learn all the behind the scenes details on production and the writing process throughout the series was fascinating. I loved the commentary from the actors and learning about the tie ins and inspirations from other classic media.

A beautifully put together volume that emphasizes just how much work went into this series to make it so special and important to so many people for a decade.

This is my second Stranger Things book by Gina Mclntyre and I can’t say enough good things about how well the writing (in both books) highlights the magnitude of the series!!!

I could read 500 of these books. I love this show so much and I love behind the scenes things and I love reading. So this book was made for me! I thought this was so good so interesting the pictures were so cool. While I did think this was enough I still would love more of these books I could read a whole one of these books for each episode of the show and still not be satisfied I love behind the scenes stuff like this!
