Mike is back

A brilliantly layered and gripping story that pulls you in from the very first page. If you enjoyed Gaslit, this is an absolute must-read. Mike is back with even more depth and tension, and the twists keep you guessing right to the end. I can’t wait to follow him on his next journey.

RR Heywood writes books like TV shows you want to watch. Superb character building even though you know the twist from reading the first Mike Humber book you start to doubt out as you spend time with Mike and his mental state. Great set up sequences and build to the outcome at the end throughly enjoyed it and looking forward to another. Bravo

great characters and story

Enjoyable 2nd novel with Mike Humberto- quirky characters, good plot. Good stand alone story, but happy to see another character brought over from the first novel.

Disappointing. Usually love all his books, but this was a bit obvious and “meh” with a whiny, whingy protagonist!
