When love goes long distance, forever is worth the wait. They met online, and what started with playfull chats and shared jokes soon grew into something worth crossing every border for. Just as they finally build a life together, an unexpected illness tested everything they thought they knew about love. "In sickness and in health" came sooner than either imagined, but so did laughter, resilience and a home filled with furry chaos. Through late-night hospital visits, cozy mornings with cats and dogs, and the unshakable choice to keep showing up, they discovered that true love doesn't just survive hardship... It thrives because of it. Heartfelt, funny, and full of hope, In Sickness and in Wi-Fi is a rom-com about distance, illness and the kind of connection that never drops. A must read for fans of witty banter, messy pets, and love stories that refuse to quit.
As someone who tried long distance and pretty much matched this cute couple it felt oh so familiar except after 3 months I said to my husband are we doing this because I knew long distance would have killed it (21 years strong now). Anyway reading this was like opening a box of cherished memories, the what if its not strong enough to last, am I making the right choice moving? It hit home and reminded me just how strong we can be when we have "the one" to hold on to, your best friend to the end. Add in the chronic illness and the doubts that come, will they still love me, am I enough?
Im so glad that Tamara took the time to write their and mostly her story because it brings so much hope and joy to anyone of us out there with the same questions and feelings because yes we are worth it and yes your relationship will grow stronger and all the added fluffy cuddles definitely help.
I also agree with Kira that fries are everything
Thanks so much for the advanced copy and sharing your memories and love with us x
I received an ARC of this book from the author and I am soo happy I did.
I love romance that occurs over texting, emails and what not.
This one starts off online and our MC's bond over music ..and fries. I love the setting of the book and if you've ever experienced love online this will be very relatable!
The heart wants what the heart wants and misses, so when our FMC Tara moves to the Netherlands things are perfect.
She settles in. They make a home together. One pet turns to two, two turns to three and so on..
See the pets on the cover? yeah, they each have personalities and you can't help but love them and the way they fill Tara and James' home and life.
Tara falls mysteriously ill and it takes a toll on their lives. It's a test to see if they can withstand life's occasional turmoils.
They story is told in a way I haven't seen often, so not really sure how to describe it... wistful might be the right word.
Anyway, really enjoyed this and Kira was one of my favorite characters!
I really really enjoyed this story! It is written differently than what you typically see but it fits the story and characters so well. They are sarcastically funny and yes the pets too!
Tara and James' starting point was not "the normal" some would say but it was real. The small bonding over music and fries. The little messages and voice notes because you are doing long distance. The what if questions. The little mantras they would say especially during those hard days. When one would say "Track One" turned into a favorite of mine. Each time the MCs said it I found myself smiling.
I also found myself smiling and laughing at the cats and pups antics. I adored that the cats and pups weren't just there, they had their say in things. Their personality shined through. It was so heartfelt and real. Those hard days, the good days, the little things. I just adored it from beginning to end!
Thank you so much Tamara for an ARC and sharing your story! 🫶🫶🫶
