I bought this 3-issue new comic book series during the recent Komikon. I approached the table of the illustrator, Peewee Catacutan, and he was able to convince me to buy the whole series for P450 (more than $10). With one copy for P150, it was expensive for me but when I browsed the pages they are in striking full colors and glossy and I had a feeling that this will become popular so I took the chance.

The story feels like Hunger Games meets Divergent meets Book of Chaos (or any story where bad angels battle good angels). There are five teenagers who are about to turn into adults and they need to undergo three tests to prove them worthy. Then there is the back story on Adam and Eve and how Lucifer (the good angel) saved them from eating the bad fruit (why is apple the bad fruit, I wonder) by cutting the tree with one sweep of her (Lucifer is a girl warrior angel) sword. Cool.

This first issue is just okay for me. I read this (and the other two issues) twice for me to write this review. I did not get the complete picture the first time as I got distracted by the ads on the other OSSM comic books.
