What would you do? You're a NASCAR fan...pretty into it, thanks to your dad. You know a lot about the drivers, the tracks, the cars. Even though you try not to, you hear the rumors and see the off-track interviews. You know the reputation of the series champ, bad-boy Zander Torris. You know he's devastatingly good looking, and charming to boot, but with a different piece of voluptuous, blonde eye candy on his arm every weekend, you have zilch respect for him. The only good thing you see in him is that he's a very generous benefactor for the camp where you're a nurse volunteer. So when he walks into your clinic, unannounced and unexpected, and asks yougirl-next-door, unglamorous youto that evening's benefactors dinner, what do you do? Hint, he's not taking no for an answer, so be ready at 6 Warning, this title contains the explicit sex and graphic language.
When not behind a keyboard, typing out the stories of the characters who dance in her head, Mel can be found behind her camera, snapping landscape or abstract photography, or in the garage up to her ears in car parts and grease. She lives in the midwest with a teenager who makes her crazy and a husband who makes her even more crazy — in a good way!
Her favorite crayon is midnight blue. She hates the sound of Styrofoam crunching, but loves her daughter's laughter. She'd rather watch a fantasy movie, like Merlin or Lord of the Rings or even Pirates of the Caribbean, than horror, and she wants to watch it from her favorite corner of the couch. She can talk cars — especially classics — with the guys and has a ridiculously amazing memory for useless music trivia. Her characters are a mix of who she is, who she knows and who she admires. Her motto: Live life, don't just exist.
Bad Boy and Nascar champ Zander Torris is legendary not only for his skill on the race track but his ever changing flavor of the day bombshells that often stand by him while at events. Checking in with a camp that is near and dear to his heart, he finds himself not only sparring with the intriguing camp nurse Molly, but for the first time in a long time not having an enamored fan in front of him who is unwilling to back down and tell him what she really thinks.
Molly knows all about Zander, a huge Nascar fan herself. What she sees up close and personal is stunning, but his attitude sucks. When he asks her out, she eagerly declines but Zander won't take no for an answer and Molly's world is turned upside down when the press gets wind of a possible romance between the two.
I liked a lot of things about this book, had a misfit relationship, the hero is vulnerable and Molly has to break through his shell, and of course chemistry. There was a couple things that got a little tiring but overall the story was good. 3.5.
A good mindless read, but I could definitely live the rest of my live without cracking it open again. Not a bad read, but the timeline just made it asinine. Seriously, they were together less than a week, and they worked through their issues by the end of their book. at the end, they agreed to date and see where it went, and she pulled up all her stakes and agreed to follow him. It just wasn't believable.
For a novella type book, quite an easy and fun read. Loved the chemistry between H/h. If you are a NASCAR fan or if you aren't I think you will really like this quick read!
DNF so not rating, only managed to get 13% of the way in. Sorry but I just can not get into a book the where the guy is buying the chick a thong within a few hours of meeting. WAY too fast. Delete!
