Anya didn’t plan to hook up with Adrian in a walk-in cooler. But one drunk night turned into a Halloween weekend of hallway sex, corn maze chaos, and feelings neither of them are equipped to handle
He’s older. Hot. Irritating in that “breaks your towel rack and ruins your life” kind of way. She’s messy. Loud. And suddenly she can’t stop falling for the grump she used to avoid.
Now there’s glitter in her bed, her best friend in the tub, and Adrian is acting like they live together.
It was supposed to be one night. Then he made her breakfast. And broke her headboard.
One weekend. All heat. But can it be more?

Anya & Adrian are like a couple of horn dogs! Once they started having sex, they were hooked. No time or place could stop them. Thought that's all it was going to be until they fell in love.
This was a really cute and funny story with LOTS of spice from start to finish. And at just 70 pages, it's a super quick read that you can finish in one sitting.
My favorite of the spicy scenes was the one in the haunted corn maze although I enjoyed all of them as something funny happened to Anya and Adrian each time.
I also loved when she finally realized that she was in love with Adrian despite the two of them not exactly seeing eye to eye in the beginning.
These are a couple of my favorite lines/quotes from "Drunk Pumpkin"
"He’s wearing a tight, black henley, with a fake bite mark glued to his neck, and fangs he probably found in the bargain bin at CVS, but he looks like he could snap me in half with his thighs. I would say thank you. He’s such a grump, but damned if he isn’t the sexiest man I’ve ever had the misfortune to cross paths with. {Chapter 1, Page 8}
"He smirks. I hate him. I want to climb him like a cat tree." {Chapter 1, Page 8}
"Rae catches sight of me, skulking past the barrier with Adrian a few steps behind me, and narrows her eyes. “You look guilty and satiated.” She quips. Adjusting my braid, I pick some straw out of it. “I tripped.” “Onto his d**k?” She laughs. “Allegedly,” I murmur, grinning like a fool." {Chapter 3, Page 43}
"I freeze. Then… I panic because he looks like he means it… like this means something. And I realize — I might be completely, irrevocably, f**k-all stupidly in love with him. Nooooo. This cannot be that. I’m not in love with Adrian. I can’t be. Right?" {Chapter 4, Page 52}
With Halloween just a little over two weeks away, Drunk Pumpkin is a perfect spooky season read. 🎃👻And also be sure to check out the rest of the books in Skye's "Love Drunk" series. I've read multiple books from the series and have loved every one of them. 🙂🩷
*I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Skye Turner’s newest installment, Drunk Pumpkin, will capture you from the very first page. What begins as a wild Halloween weekend filled with drunken fun quickly turns into something much more.
Anya and Adrian are the perfect example of opposites attracting. She’s vibrant and chaotic, while he’s the classic grump. Their chemistry leaps off the page, in multiple hot, steamy, hay-filled happenings that are equal parts hilarious and heart pounding.
What starts as a hookup soon blossoms into a genuine connection, as Anya somehow turns the perpetually grumpy Adrian into relationship material. Turner balances the spice with sweetness, delivering a quick, festive read that's as warm as it is wickedly fun.
If you love holiday-themed romances with a grumpy-sunshine dynamic, plenty of humor, and just the right amount of steam, Drunk Pumpkin is the perfect short story to cozy up with this Halloween season
I absolutely love Skye Turner’s novellas. Drunk Pumpkin is about an older guy, a long-simmering chemistry finally boiling over, and a holiday fling that begins with one drunk rendezvous and spirals into a deliciously messy and funny love affair. This was a fast read in the best way: filling, satisfying, and giving me that quick, giddy high every bookish girl chases from story to story. The kind that makes you grin, kick your feet a little, and whisper “That’s what I’m talking about.”
Skye Turner’s writing style is what keeps me coming back. Her realistic dialogue, sharp humor, and effortless way of bringing characters to life make her books impossible to put down. She knows how to balance spice, heart, and comedy.
If you love quick, spicy rom-coms with heart, chaos, and characters who leap off the page, Drunk Pumpkin is a must-read.
I'm not gonna lie, but holy sh@@, you will need a vibrator or another person when reading this story. LMAO
Anya and Adrian have always exchanged banter and shared intense eye f@#ks, but they never acted on it. However, this Halloween, all bets are off because once they taste each other, it's on like Donkey Kong. I loved not only the banter, which will have you cracking up, but also the genuine love they felt for one another. Something that surprised me is just how much Skye made you feel part of the story. You have to read the Love Drunk short stories because they will have you laughing until you cry or reaching for an orgasm. For me, one thing is that I've been struggling with life, and these stories meant everything to me.
"Drunk Pumpkin: A Love Drunk Short Story" (Love Drunk Short Stories Book 10) by Skye Turner was a terrific read. I loved Anya and Adrian's story. This story had romance, passion, humor, Halloween, friends, and more. I laughed out loud several times reading this story. This was a terrific addition to this series. I can't wait to see what happens next. I highly recommend it to all fans of short stories, passion, holidays, and series.
Can you win awards for Spicy Adult Romance stories? If you can this one needs to win! You heard of Pumpkin Spice this book is the definition. Anya and Adrian's story is not only spicy and steamy but so cute as well. The way they speak to each other not just when they are intimate but also when they aren't it's refreshing and so real. I think that is what makes it so good. I just found out this was book 10 so now I am in need of books 1-9.
Such a fun and flirty fall read! Drunk Pumpkin has all the cozy vibes, a great mix of spice and humor, and characters you can’t help but root for. It was cute, funny, and totally perfect for pumpkin season. 🎃🍁
Quickie Review: This is the first time I have read one of these short stories from this 10 book series. It’s a quick read and honestly there wasn’t much plot as it was entirely sex fueled and lust driven. Oh, did I say that was a problem? Heck no. Turner gave us a fun, sexy read just in time for Halloween. And I inhaled it!! Definitely recommend. 5 Stars.
