It Started With a Proposal is the second book in a romance series and you need to read them in order to follow along. The soap opera continues in this story! I knew it would be messy from the start and I was so excited to see what would happen next. Just when I thought it couldn’t get more dramatic after book one, it did! This series is a great escape from reality and your own drama. There’s even a playlist to add to the mood! This is one of those stories where you don’t have to agree with the characters’ decisions to have a good time, as long as you are okay with love triangles. I found that this book has more depth than the first one, which I really enjoyed! It’s so bingeable, you never know what’s waiting for you when you turn the page and it’s almost guaranteed to be different than what you could guess. I love that it has a book club discussion guide at the end. It would be so fun to read this with a group of friends and share all of your thoughts and reactions! If you enjoy romance books that feel like you’re watching a soap opera and love triangles, you have to try this series!

Despite not reading book number one, you are still able to connect with the characters. I absolutely loved the storyline. It was magical, funny, sad, and really engaging.
I relate a lot to Holly – the female main character – not knowing what she wants to do and having her heart, torn and many different places. When Holly gets stuck in a love triangle, she needs to make choices for herself and not listen to others.
The story had me hooked from start to finish. It’s a must read!

What a read! It built on from the story in the first book in a fantastic way, and I loved it even more!
The relationship web develops into an absolute tangle with secrets being revealed left, right and centre. At times I put the books down, wondering whaaaat?! In the best way.
I highly recommend reading this- and it started with a gift too.
