His Secret Omega: A Dark MM Omegaverse Romance

Rate this book
Sky Tancredi is an omega with a secret.

He’s had a crush on Kian, his best friend’s older brother, for as long as he can remember. But he's done with that now. After the embarrassing way he presented, Sky is certain someone perfect like Kian would never look at him twice. As a prime omega, Sky can have his pick of alphas, and he's determined to get over Kian once and for all. Even if that means getting under someone else to do it.

Kian Erskine is an alpha with a secret.

Four years ago, he forced his brother’s best friend into presenting. Kian has spent his life hiding his true urges and desires, but the alpha who returns home isn’t the same one who left. He’s seen things he can’t unsee, and he’s done with playing pretend to make other people more comfortable. Kian has a title and the backing of the Imperial family now, and he’s come to claim his omega.

He'll teach Sky that it isn't nice to lie about one's own desires, even if he has to force the claiming bite to do it.

This is an omegaverse dark romance that takes place in the same universe as the Devils of Vitality. The book was originally published under the title, His Secret Alpha, and was part of a romance holiday release project. While this new version features the same characters and a couple of similar plot points, the story has been rewritten and reimagined. This is NOT the same book. Please keep in mind that as a dark romance, there will be triggering material.

Trigger This is a Dark MM Sci-Fi Omegaverse Romance, which means there are many themes that some might find disturbing. Some of these include, but are not limited to, dub-con, forced proximity, and explicit sexual content not suitable for all readers. Please be sure to read the Author's Note for a complete list of warnings! HEA guarantee!

Where was the chemistry? Where was the obsession? I searched for them and found nothing.

Because his first time as an omega had been in a charged, semi-forced situation, his body associated sex with that. As a primal, wild, thing.

His Secret Omega is a best-friend's-brother romance with elements of forced proximity, CNC, dub con, non con and fated mates. Sky Tancredi is torn between wanting a safe, comfortable and cozy life with a stable alpha who adores him, and his enduring childhood crush on his friend Elm's brother, Kian. Kian is occasionally nice, but even his brother admits he's not a good person. Even though Kian's everything Sky claims not to want anymore, is it even possible to set aside years of pining and obsession?
“Excuse me for wanting a mate who is kind and gives a shit about my happiness.” “I want you to be happy,” Kian said. “Just not at my expense.”

I liked the book quite a bit and found the characters interesting. I do think that it was very similar to numerous other Chani Lynn Feener books I've read in the past, which led in part to my rating. It didn't feel like there was anything new or fresh- the younger, 'weaker' character wants the older, toppier/wealthier/more powerful character but doesn't like the way he's treated by him, until the older MC softens their approach about ~5% by compromising on one thing or being slightly less high-handed and dickish, and the younger MC capitulates. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy those types of books, but I think I'm going to pause on reading any more from Chani for now. I'm just not able to dig in and root for the characters the way I have in the past. The book is essentially a miscommunication trope book since Sky and Kian like each other but have to earn their HEA over years of nonsense.
“I’m the worst thing that’s ever happened to you,” Kian stated, and it sounded extremely self-aware, until he followed it up with, “I’m also the best thing.”

FUCKING HELL *deep sigh* This was definitely a very different approach to the juicy best friend’s older brother trope. This was a lot.

And even though I’ve been warned at length by the author that this is exactly what I was getting myself into, reading this book made me feel uncomfortable as hell. There was dub-con sure, but most of it was full-blown non-con.

For the longest time, this little omega had been the only proof Kian had any humanity in him at all, and the first chance he’d gotten to ruin Sky, he’d taken it.
And he had no regrets.

Maybe there was no such thing as a perfect moment; there was only the perfect person and what you did to ensure they ended up being yours.

Believe me when I say, there have been A LOT of ignored No’s, Stop’s and Don’t touch me’s. None of it was actually redeemable. So I’m not sure if it was the right decision by the author to make the reader feel this horrified for the first half of the book before starting to give it all a lot more context later.

Because what it ultimately came down to was basically that Kian (the alpha) was catering to all of Sky’s deepest and darkest desires while at the same time satisfying his own possessive, i-don't-care-about-the-costs, obsessive nature.

“We follow the rules of the Wild Hunt. The real one.”
“All right.”
“Do you know them?”
Sky rolled his eyes. “Yeah. The rules of the Wild Hunt on Synastry are that there are no rules.”

“Run then, little liar. Run like you mean it.” Kian slowly rose from the ground. “Let’s see how far you’ll get.”

It feels wrong to say that I could view the alpha as weirdly endearing later but I’m glad that it was acknowledged over and over not only by the omega but also a variety of other characters that Kian’s behavior was wrong and not somehow overly romanticized and swept under the rug.

Also, I wanna agree with another reviewer here: write the damn heat/rut smut ffs, dear author. Don’t tease these two cycles over and over again and then stop the book before we were about to get to the good stuff!!

Anyways. It’s a fact that I couldn’t stop reading it and that begs the question if I’m now more horrified with this book or with myself for still being into it.

I started this book hoping for a dark, obsessive romance that would really make me feel something. Instead, I got mostly filler scenes, confusing world-building, and a "dark" hero whose real personality was hidden until the very end. By the halfway point I simply didn’t care about the main couple any more. There was no depth (especially not from the LI) so I skipped to the last chapter to see if things improved. Yes, Kian seemed to have a character arc, but honestly, I no longer have the energy to read another 170 pages to watch that change happen. (In the first 170 pages I think we get one short scene from his point of view?)

My biggest problem is that the author deliberately hides Kian’s thoughts, probably to keep the mystery alive. But in a dark romance the stalker’s obsession is the main hook. When we finally get a peek inside his head (after 50 %), it doesn’t feel like a great reveal: it feels like a last-minute fix, as if the author suddenly remembered, "Oh, I should explain why he acts like this." A few small glimpses of his POV near the start would have made his later declarations much stronger. As it is, it just feels too convenient.

The world-building is just fancy names. Planets like "Synastry" or titles like "dominus" and "underboss" are dropped everywhere, but we never learn what they really mean. Why should I care about omega-trafficking if, halfway through, it’s still a far-away subplot that doesn’t touch the main characters? A dark romance needs clear stakes from the start, not a glossary of cool-sounding but empty words.

The outside conflict feels under-cooked by the mid-point. The trafficking story could have pushed the couple together or torn them apart, but here it’s only background noise. After 170 pages I still don’t see the plot moving forward. I don’t understand what really drives the main characters, especially Kian. Their relationship doesn’t grow; they hardly talk, they just have sex. That’s fine, but I don’t read 300+pages books only for that. I did like Sky’s inner struggle, yet I think it could have been shown more clearly. And I missed Kian’s inner fight almost completely. The final chapter hints there is one, but who knows if we ever see it on page?

I still believe the story had potential, or maybe that’s just me being hopeful. I wanted more of Sky’s trauma, more of whatever storm is raging in Kian’s mind, and a real look at the blurry line between consent and coercion. Instead, those issues are brushed aside to make room for more filler.

Tropes: alpha/omega, Brothers best friend
Feels: 3.75/5
Steam*: 4/5
Kinks: knotting, marking, somnophilia, dubcon, primal play
Angst: low
HEA: HEA
Pairing: MM
Triggers/potential icks/content warnings/representation: infertility, miscarriage, trafficking, murder, rape, attempted sexual assault, forced mating, manipulation
Cheating between MCs: No
Any cheating: No
Other person drama: Sky tried to move on from his crush over the last 4 years, but hasn't been able to bring himself to be with anyone. Kian seems to be in a similar position. There are some moments where the characters are jealous of other people that are around, but neither of them are interested in those people.

4.5 stars

Note about spoilers: I don't want to spoil too much about the book, but Sky was raped and I feel like in my review I need to properly prepare people / comment on that. So I will spoil who raped him.

Also, I read the original book that this one was a rewrite of - His Secret Alpha. And yeah, this book shares the same characters, but it's very very different. Feels like a completely different book. Can confirm you will not feel like you are reading the same book.

Sky is 21. He's about to graduate college and he's a Potter, opening a pottery. He's an Omega. He always had a crush on his best friend's brother, Kian. Kian is an alpha, 24. He's been away for 4 years and it's back in town now.

4 years ago, Sky was raped at a party and forced by pheromones into presenting as an Omega / forced into a heat. He enjoyed the sex at the time, and has felt bad about the fact that he liked it. In the years since, he's lived more carefully, and he's tried to move on from his crush and his rough introduction to sex, but he's never been able to hook up with someone else. Something always stops him.

It turns out that Kian was the one who raped Sky. He did it because he has feelings for Sky and he knew he had to leave town, and Sky hadn't presented yet, and he wanted Sky to present as an Omega so that when he was ready and able he could claim Sky and they could be together. He's been keeping tabs on Sky over the years. To me, it really was rape, it wasn't CNC or dubcon, Sky was telling him no, that he had feelings for someone else, and he didn't want to be with this "stranger". Ick. If it makes you feel slightly better, at least Kian has really strong feelings for Sky? And it kind of sounds like Kian might not have been with anyone else during the four years separation, because at one point he says he couldn't bring himself to, cuz no one else compared to Sky.

In the present, Kian comes home and finds Sky about to hook up with someone else and then going into heat, and his possessiveness and jealousy drives him to spend the heat with Sky to prevent him from calling someone else over. He doesn't play games, he makes it clear that he wants to be with Sky, he wants to be his Alpha. But Sky is realizing that Kian has dark secrets and isn't really the person that he was crushing on for years. He feels like he doesn't know Kian anymore and he doesn't want to jump into something with him. They make deals and they make bets, and they navigate getting to know each other and their attraction to each other while Kian also deals with family drama and a trafficking ring he's trying to take down.

The book started off with the bad taste in my mouth with that rape scene. But overall, I thought this was a really emotional book. I appreciate it that Kian was in love with Sky and knew it. Usually with this author's books, the more dominant MMC isn't motivated by feelings / love, they usually stumble into falling into love. Kian has known that he has feelings for Sky for many years. The emotional and sexual tension was solid. The jealous and possessiveness was intense, I'm a sucker for that. I liked that Sky didn't just immediately dociley accept his fate with Kian, he stood up to him and gave him fierce attitude, he was strong and smart/witty. I liked that Kian always had a soft spot for Sky over the years and was always kind to him and took care of him in small ways. They were down bad for each other.

Only came across two typos in this book. That's good, this author's books usually have a lot more typos than that so better editing, yay!

Some notable moments:

"“You’re important because you’re you, Sky. They’re an extension of me. But you…You’ve always been a separate entity. I would love to consume you, to find a way to absorb you whole and make you a part of me permanently, but that means killing your essence, and I like who you are as a person too much to do that. If I lost them, I’d be infuriated.” His grip loosened, and he shifted his hold, lightly stroking against Sky’s bottom lip. “If I lost you, I’d be devastated.”"

"Kian hummed in understanding, playing along. “I heard he doesn’t like to share.” “Nope,” Sky agreed. “And he’s possessive as fuck.” “I heard he chipped you,” he slammed into him, punctuating the rest of his sentence with the battering of his cock, “like. A. Dog.” Sky growled and grabbed fistfuls of Kian’s hair painfully. “Too soon.”"

"“Kian, I’ve loved you since before I even understood what love really was. I thought when you came back as a Dominus, that I didn’t recognize you, but that wasn’t true. It doesn’t matter what your job is or who you call family. You’ll always be that same alpha who left umbrellas in my locker when it rained. The one who rearranged the dinner table, so all my favorite side dishes were within reach.” Sky kissed him again, just as gently. “You’ll always be my alpha.”"

*FYI about steam: I rate steam based on a combination of quality & quantity. I note kink separate from steam because I don't want to underrate steamy reads that don't have much kink.

**Note about spoilers: I like to comment on the plot of a book in reviews, so I almost always mark my reviews as containing spoilers. But I try to avoid spoiling the big dramatic moments! As a reader, I personally like to know what I'm getting into before I read a book so I know more about the content and if it's to my taste/mood, so I try to give that information in my reviews for myself when I'm considering rereading and also for other readers.

Ok, so I read the original version of this story, His Secret Alpha, and I always thought that it had been far too sweet and cutesy to fit in with the rest of Chani's story universe.

This version fits SO much better and I really enjoyed getting to revisit Sky and Kian. Kian fit the typical style of Chani's alpha male characters which is something I always like reading, and Sky was much more strong-willed in this iteration.

I'm curious about the other characters that were mentioned, especially Kian's siblings and the three Imperials, and I hope there'll be more books in the future set on this planet.

DNF'D due to improper trigger warnings.

This book is about a R@pist who saves other SA victims from literal trafficking rings and then forces himself on the person he is obsessed with.

This isn't just "NC" this is full on SA, on page. For an extended period of time. MULTIPLE times.

It glorifies R@pe in the very beginning, dismisses the victim's trauma as if it's non-existent and repeatedly subjects the victim to more SA.

There are multiple SA victims none of which are written as actual victims. As if they're capable of being forced and then bounce right back again with no issues.

The abuser is confronted by his actions and shrugs the issues off. Because the situation "isn't the same."

When his victim complains the abuser actually uses the line "you should have told me to stop " and the victim points out HE DID. MULTIPLE TIMES. And the abuser SHRUGS.

The Author spends a significant amount of time at the beginning warning about miscarriage and low birth rates and then immediately dives into a R@pe scene.

I want to make it very clear: I don't think this book is badly written, and I don't have morally black characters. I think exploring the dark side of humanity can be interesting in fiction WITH PROPER WARNING. But the author spends so much time trying to convince the reader that Kian "isn't like OTHER r@pists" because he LOVES Sky.

It's disgusting. And harmful and it glorifies R@pe culture and it seriously does NOT prepare people who may have trauma for what they're getting into.

The trigger warnings need to be addressed.
Having the character admit he is a "bad guy" but then using the story narrative to point out all the supposed "good" he's been doing is a cheap cop out and the worst part is -- This is a RE-WRITE. You would think more thought and consideration would have gone into the approach.

I want to say again: the issue with this book is not just the content itself but the utter lack of proper warning about what the content is.

I am not opposed to terrible people, I am opposed to potentially harming reader's without warning and the way the author tries to trip over themselves to defend the abuser's actions.

SA has a place in stories when approached and presented as morally and ethically wrong, NOT justifiable actions.

Ugh I can’t say enough good things about this book! This is the sort of toxic relationship I dream about reading!! They are so gone for each other and Kian is so fucking unhinged when it comes to Sky. The smut was amazing and I also really enjoyed the storyline. I love the worlds that Chani creates and the characters she brings to life in them. Loved this book so much!

DNF at 54%. Look, it's not terrible, but i feel like I'm on book #3 of a series and I assumed this was a solo book. Lots of side stories about characters I don't know and Kian's backstory isn't being told very well. It's all confusing and maybe it's a me problem because honestly I just don't have the brain energy to sift through all the details to find what matters. It's also kinda laughable how someone gets murdered and life just goes on like nothing happened. Are there no laws or police on these planets?

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

As soon as I received an email saying this was posted, I immediately dropped what I was doin'/readin' and grabbed this book. Chani is one of my favorite dark authors and I always enjoy reading her books. She feeds the darker parts of me so well. I love her characters and world building and getting to experience with her the Omegaverse side was thrilling. Kian was unapologetic and dark. Though he cared about Sky, he did it in his own way in the only way that made sense to him. I like the way she writes her dark characters. They truly are dark and leaning towards black in the gray area. I ate this book up as quick as I could. I almost stayed up way too late to finish it. I like Chani's take on the Omegaverse and also liked that both male and females were included. I also liked the way Sky was written. He was not a meek little omega. He had a back bone and had no issues standing up for himself in a way. He was strong and was able to hold his own. I am glad they found common ground eventually and got their HEA.

Another banger! I ate this up! I loved this world and the characters. Kian was intense and did some horrible things but it was obvious he cared for Sky. I loved Sky and his sass. He was strong and able to stand up for himself. I’m glad they got their HEA. I hope we get to see more of this world and these characters!

Omegaverse what??

So I have been reading omegaverse for years hundreds of stories from manga, manhwa and other novels. This story was really good, some of the stereotypes were still there, liked forced bonding etc. even though I saw some troupes I hate I really did like how she told this story. I hope she makes this a series like her other novel on vitality..

It’s full of miscommunication and characters not telling their love interest what they are really feeling, and instead assuming shit, even though they are hearing it second hand. If the main antagonist of your book is miscommunication, that’s a terrible and lazy way to add conflict.

Also the MC didn’t recognize the voice of someone he’s know since childhood bc he was wearing a mask? How Superman wearing glasses.

Note to authors…If you are going to write an Omegaverse book for the love of Pete! PLEASE!! write a heat sex scene OR a rut sex scene!!! 🫠🫠🫠

Spoiler Alert 🚨

This book had neither. They had sex often in the mud though. Epic eye roll 🙄 The first time they are together it’s masked and dub con AND the next time after that is
4 YEARS LATER!!! And it’s with a dido. Ugh 😣 seriously. They are hot together but I did not feel this was a complete story. The characters were very underwhelming and wooden. Like why do I care about them at all.

I was like meh by the end. 2nd Omegaverse book by this author and the 2nd meh story. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫.

What the fuck was that.
This book is so dark we need a rape scene in the prologue. I swear to god if someone writes a dark romance there has to be rape in it. As if that was the only dark theme imaginable. Oh but it’s not so bad, the omega liked it. Isn’t it? ISNT IT?

So then the alpha ghost for four years… for reasons. Because he has no conscience 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Then he comes back and forces the omega because he is his(omg kill me now).

Then he wants the omega to like him. Huh? Thought it was a dark book and he has no conscience?

Honestly I would have respected the book more if it didn’t turn around halfway through. I wouldn’t have liked it either but that was the last drop. Alpha suddenly is doing everything so that his forced mate likes him.

What a waste of time. Not recommended.

I’m still not sure if my eyes were wide because of fear, shock, or fascination — probably all three.

The Beginning (aka: the hardest pill to swallow)

The opening scene is brutal. Sky is a virgin, he’s cornered at a party, he keeps saying “stop,” and he’s assaulted by an unknown masked man. There is no context yet about his kink — that he likes being dominated, likes being forced, likes saying “stop” — and without that information, the scene feels too real, too violent, too disturbing.
Even with that knowledge later, it’s still tough because the man is unknown to him and stays unknown for 4 years.

But as the book goes on, the picture changes. We learn Sky’s desires. We learn the masked man’s identity. We learn Kian’s nature.

Kian is not a normal romantic hero.
He’s an Alpha, a mafia boss, a diagnosed sociopath, and Sky’s childhood protector and crush.
He doesn’t feel emotions the way others do, and he absolutely does not follow normal rules. From childhood, he saw himself as Sky’s protector. He truly believed Sky would belong to him no matter what even before their first time he believed however he presented (Omega/Beta) he will have Sky and He waited for Sky’s presentation so he could claim him.

The day before Kian leaves the planet, he goes into a rut.
His pheromones force Sky into presenting — something no one could predict.
And instead of saying “I want you,” Kian takes him, without asking, without explanation, and Sky doesn’t know it’s him.

This is the part that could have made the book perfection if it had been handled better. It also didn’t make sense. It was just done for extra layer of darkness and drama.
Sky was in love with him forever all he had to do was just ask and make his intentions clear and sky would have been happily submitting but why use logic?

What saved Kian’s character

After touching Sky He never touches anyone else, not even a kiss is mentioned even during the 4 years of separation. He spent all his ruts alone for years.

Sky, in the same way, could stomach no one else. His heats were spent alone. His body recognized Kian instantly — masked or unmasked — and only came alive under him.

Their connection is twisted, dark, primal, unhealthy, and yet compelling in the worst possible way.

My frustrations

I have two major issues with the book:

1. No on-page heat/rut scene once they’re properly together .
You build all this tension…You hype up the dynamics…
And then when they finally belong to each other?
NOTHING.

2. The lack of groveling or emotional reckoning.
I understand Kian is a sociopath.
I understand he doesn’t do emotions like normal people.
But even then, there could have been some acknowledgment of what happened or a believable

But here’s the truth:

Despite all my issues…Despite the horror on my face…
Despite the absolute mess of ethics and consent…

I couldn’t stop reading.
This book is dark — truly dark — not the cute “haha he’s morally grey but behaves like a hero ”cKian is not secretly gentle. He is what he is — and the book doesn’t lie about it.

I completely understand that this book will not be for everyone. It shouldn’t be. It is dark, explicit, morally messy, and filled with themes that many readers actively avoid. And that’s okay — every reader has their limits.

But here’s where I’m firm:
If an author clearly lists the triggers and themes upfront, you cannot walk into that book and then complain that those triggers exist.

It’s like picking up a book labelled incest and then acting shocked that it contains sex between siblings or uncle/nephew. Or choosing a book that states non-con, dub-con, forced dynamics, and then asking why those scenes are included. The author already told you what you were stepping into.

Bad writing deserves low stars.
Bad plotting deserves criticism.
Characters acting out-of-character deserve complaints.

But triggers?
If they were explicitly mentioned?
That’s on us as readers to decide whether we want to enter that space.

I knew exactly what this book would contain.
I prepared myself.
I chose to walk into it.
And I don’t regret it — because despite the darkness, the devotion in this story was huge. Kian’s obsession, Sky’s pining, the twisted romance… all of it was exactly as the blurb warned it would be.

And honestly?
It was a new experience for me.
A disturbing one, yes.
But also compelling. Enough that I’m already planning to read more from this author because now I’m fascinated by how far they push their characters.

So, be kind to authors who clearly list their content warnings.
Choose wisely.
And don’t punish a book for being exactly what it promised to be.

Sky grows up with a crush on his best friend's older brother, Kian. Kian is adopted. His bio parents are the head of a criminal organization, and Kian inherits their psychopathy, apparently. One day, when he sees Sky talking to another Alpha at a party, he gets jealous and triggers Sky to present as omega, with his Alpha pheromones. He rapes Sky in the bathroom. Sky doesn't know it's him because he wears a mask.

Then his adopted parents get in an argument with Kian and send him off to military school.

The next time they see each other, Sky is about to graduate university. The same thing happens, Sky is talking to another Alpha so Kian triggers his heat. This time Kian doesn't want to risk pregnancy and force an unwanted child on Sky, so he uses sex toys instead of actual sex.

And it's just hot and cold, cat and mouse, the whole time. Kian makes a big deal about his psychopathy, and he's going to force Sky to be his mate if Sky ends up not agreeing.

But honestly, I didn't get it. Sky already liked Kian, and Kian already knew that, so Kian just needed to admit liking Sky, and everything would have been ok. There was no need for force, toying with Sky, or subterfuge. It all seemed unnecessary and just silly, not dark.

The other Alpha Sky keeps talking to is Kenta. Sky only talks to him because Kenta wants a relationship, and Kian doesn't admit to wanting a relationship. Kian just talks about sex and sends dick pics, and shows up wearing the same mask whenever Sky's on a date with Kenta. Dude, just have a conversation! 😂

His Secret Omega is a very dark, MM, sci-fi romance. If you have read Chani’s books in the past, she mentions some planets where the people have Alpha/omega traits-not shifting. The planet this is mostly on, is one of those planets.
Sky is in his senior year of college and is about to open his own pottery store. It’s been four years since he was attacked and r*ped by a masked man and since, hasn’t really been truly interested in other guys, except a stupid crush on his best friend’s older brother.
He hadn’t seen Kian in years since he moved off planet. The crush has dwindled but still ever present.
Now his old crush has come back but he is a bit more aggressive than he remembered. And when Sky tried to date, he is attacked again and Kian forces a mating bond.

This is very dark, please read your trigger warnings.

I really enjoyed this book and I DEVOURED this overnight. It’s so good and the characters are interesting and keep you hooked and the spice is spicey!!! I love how Sky really doesn’t back down from Kian and makes him work for it!
Seriously, there has to be something wrong with me to love these books so much! lol 😂 🥰

Review for His Secret Omega by Chani Lynn Feenar

Trigger warnings are as follows:

Dark MM Sci-Fi
Omegaverse Romance
Dub-con
Hot heat that could burn your reader out

This book is about Omega Sky Tancredi, who has had the hots for his best friend's older brother, Kian. He has tried to get Kian's attention for years; maybe he should have thought about what he wanted, though. Kian hadn't been drained to Sky till he presented himself. Now he wants Sky more than his next breath. Sky isn't aware of who Kian has become through the years. Lots of people thought he had gone one way, but instead went the other, which caused him to grow a dark side. He has seen and gone through things he didn't want Sky to know. Kian is supported by the Imperial family, unknown to many. Sky just wanted to get through each day since the night he was forced into presenting. He wants to get on with his life because he knows his desire for Kian isn't reciprocated. So he needs to begin to live. But will Sky be allowed this, or will Kian show him who is in control?

I loved this book. It had just the right amount of darkness with Sky's light mixed in. I wanted more as I read the last page. That shows how much I really enjoyed this story.

Damn, this book had me hooked!

Dark, emotional, and so addictive. This story had everything I wanted in a twisted omegaverse: secrets, power, longing, and that slow unravelling of truth that made it impossible to stop reading.

The world-building was rich, and the tension between Sky and Kian? Off the charts. I loved how layered their dynamic was...there’s pain, obsession, and a connection that feels both dangerous and inevitable.

This isn’t a lighthearted read. It’s heavy, it’s dark, and it’s beautifully written.
If you love your omegaverse with emotional depth, complex characters, and a story that doesn’t shy away from the dark corners of desire - read this one.
