After discovering that her boyfriend is cheating on her, Kambri runs to the people who know her best - her friends.
Jean and Andrea are willing to do anything to make Kambri feel better, even when it blurs the lines between friendship and more, proving that sometimes two truly is better than one.
Quick read. I just wish I could’ve seen a bit more chemistry between the characters. Yes it’s a novella and suppose to be quick but I felt like the relationship felt rushed. But overall the storyline was good and it held my attention.
I absolutely loved this story! The vibe, connection, and protectiveness they all shared with one another was amazing. It was a great short read. ML Bash pen is very nice! ❤️🔥
I felt like Andrea everytime Luke's name was mentioned. i was ready to throw hands immediately. No questions asked. But OMG, i loved Andrea and Jean. They were such amazing friends. I'm glad kam had them in her corner through everything. Especially Luke's hoe ass
😮💨Man oh man, I never thought I wanted to be in a throple until I read about it. Especially the sex scene! It was something that I’ve definitely watched on one of those websites. Lol overall this book gave me ideas that I never thought I’d have. What I will say is I only wish it had more than one sex scene. I really wanted a little bit more spice. I wanted a round 2 or three. Jean is the type of man that all women want, I’m happy Andrea and Kam was able to get him. I definitely have to check out more of this author’s books
Now imagine you out on a couples trip with your man your best friends. You are having thoughts about your man and realizing how he really isn’t present but your friends are. Even with that you believe that everything is good. Imagine your surprise when you walk into your suite to check on your “sick” boyfriend and he’s cheating on you. This is where the story begins for Kambri.
Ms. Bash did her thing with this why choose. I love when a couple comes in and shows you that you they can be everything that you have been missing and more. The way that Jean and Andrea step up and showed their love for her from the very beginning. It was sweet and flowed so naturally. I loved how the love, affection and support was forced and Kambri was the missing piece to their puzzle that they didn’t know that they needed. One thing I will say is that ML Bash knows how to write a why choose and I’m going to eat them up every time. It wasn’t heavy on the spice but the writing was soooo good that it wasn’t even missed.
I really enjoyed this read. It was paced well and had really good healthy communication and thoughtfulness. I loved how unhinged, but protective Andrea and Jean were. Despite Luke's nastiness, Kambri had two wonderful best friends to support her. Them being there for her even in a non-romantic way touched my heart. Also, I loved the spicy scene, I was especially pleased with the checking in that happened. I do wish there had a better physical descriptor for Kambri and Andrea, but my imagination filled the blanks for two beautiful, short black women. 😂 🖤🤌🏾
I really really liked this novella. Jean, Andrea and Kambri were all so lovable which made their relationship that much more enjoyable. I wish there was a little bit more of a slow burn but I know with novellas that may not be as easy to do. I’m kinda hoping that we get more from these characters in the future. Also Luke is a bitch, I’m glad Jean dealt with his weird ass.
Oh and that spicy scene was soooo good, I wanted more🫦
This was my first M.L. Bash book and now I’m excited to read more of her work!!

3.5 ⭐️. I think this is a great option for people who are trying to get into "why choose". I love the fact that healthy communication between a non-monogamous couple was displayed. They were all attentive to each other and were willing to listen. I do think that towards the end I was a bit turned off with the incident between Jean and Luke. I get wanting to stick for your girl but to that extent wasn't exactly necessary. In the end it was a good quick read but I would love to see more from these characters since we didn't get much background from them.
It was ok. Why choose stories can be fun when there’s a solid plot behind all the chaos, but this one’s length made it hard to really connect. The backstories didn’t have enough time to develop, so I never got fully invested in Jean, Andrea, or Kambri.
And why is everybody always about that life? 😭 Sometimes seeing your woman cry should be enough to make you handle that light work, no need for him to have had another life. But ok lol.
Cute concept, just needed more depth and less rush.
First off I love the dynamic of everyone! I love that everyone were good friends! Luke was a 🐕 & he deserved what he got plus he needed more! Kambri was sweet, not naive but trusting until proving that she gave it to the wrong one! But I’m glad she had Andrea & Jean! Those 2 were the perfect dynamic you’d need if you wanted to add more! I loved the spice & it the perfect amount for this length of a book! Great work!!!
I love a good love story & this one was written perfectly. It has the extra sweetness of “friends to lovers” + the satisfaction of “why choose?” & I’m a new fan of the “why choose?”, but baby I love it here! [because why can’t I have both?] I was giddy, kicking my feet, & feeling all of the feels while I read. I didn’t want things to end. lol.
ML Bash knows she can write a why choose book!! The way this short read had you ready to fight ole boy and his ass backward way of thinking just proves he was not it. Just trifling. Kambri had the perfect landing pad though and I’m glad she didn’t have to go through that alone. However, baby they way Kam Andrea and Jean just flowed should be studied. Loved that they were always there for each other and supported Kam as if she always was theirs!! The friends to lovers was sweet and glad everyone was on the same page. The spice was just right too!!!
One for Two was a bold, juicy read with strong chemistry and nonstop tension. The characters were emotional, flawed, and completely pulled me into their world. I loved the grown-folk drama, the slow-burn moments, and the way the story kept twisting when I thought I had it figured out. It was messy in the best way and hard to put down. If you love intense romance with real heat and real feelings, this one is for you.
ML BASH DID GET THING WITH THIS ONE. SO GOOD I WOULDN’T MIND GETTING AN UPDATE FROM THESE THREE IN THE FUTURE.
LUKE’S WHOLE PERSONA READ PHUCK 🥷 BIH BOY🤷🏽♀️. WHO PLANS A TO TOO ONLY STAY IN THE ROOM, I WAS HOPING I WAS WRONG ABOUT HIM EFFING SOMEONE ELSE BUT HE WAS BEYOND TRIFLING ASF FOR THAT PHUCK IS HE PULLED AND DESERVED EVERYTHING HE GOT. THEN INSTEAD OF HIM ROCKING HIS TAKE AND TAKING THAT LOUD HE DID THE TYPICAL PHUCK BOY ISH AND GOT SERVED AN EVEN BIGGER AZZ WHOOPING 🤣🤣🤣
I LOVED JEAN & ANDREA 🥰! THEIR WHOLE AURA WAS JUST BEAUTIFUL. EVEN BEFORE EVERYTHING WENT DOWN THE WAY THE LOVED AND CARED FOR KAM WAS AMAZING. IT’S LIKE THE ONLY THING THAT CHANGED IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP WAS THE FACT THAT THEY WERE A TRUE THREESOME IN EVERY WAY. JEAN IS A DEFINITE BOOK BAE😍😜!
⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 cute, short and simple. nothing too crazy, jean don’t play bout his! luke ain’t shit and everybody go together real bad. i dooo wish there was some more relationship building between the trio but yk worked with what we had, i also expected more spice???
Decent why choose book. The trope is tricky to do as a novella about a real substantial relationship (as opposed to a spicy experience) because you don’t get the space for true relationship building. They went from zero to I live yous in 48 hours. Very unrealistic in that way.
Quick Novella but I do wish this could have been a little longer. It had a little bit of everything in a short span of time. I love a good poly relationship!!!
I loved this quick read! My first introduction to M.L. Bash and I was grinning and blushing as soon as this story began. The FMC were so lovable their friendship at the core. Jean is that guys period.
This book gave me everything! I loved how the MMC was there to love and take care of both of the FMC. The way her turned up for his girl was just amazing.
