I thought book club was the most boring thing in suburban hell. Wine, gossip, discussing romance novels—what could possibly go wrong?
Everything, apparently.
I wake up naked on an altar, surrounded by my book club "friends" chanting in Latin. Turns out they're a demon-worshipping coven, and they've decided I'm the perfect virgin sacrifice. But before they can complete their ritual, Be'Leth appears—not to accept their offering, but to save my ass.
The rescue comes with conditions. I'm bound to him now, under his protection but also his claim. He's patient enough to let me accept his claiming and become his forever, or risk other demons finishing what the soccer moms started.
"You were meant to be sacrificed. Instead, you're going to be treasured."
I got betrayed by suburban moms and saved by a demon prince. Guess which one treats me better?
So, love these little spicey shorts. :D in this book we meet Annie and Be'Leth. She meets him when he appears to save her. Her book group turn out to be Demonic followers and are planning on having her as their sacrifice. Annie's left with a choice, remain bonded to him or be that sacrifice. We all know which way she'll choose. :) I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
"Hi," she said, which wasn't what I expected. "Could you untie me? It's really cold and this is super awkward." Not screaming. Not begging. Not even crying. Just practical. "You're not afraid?" "I mean, I'm terrified. But you just saved me from being murdered by suburban moms, so you're already an improvement. Plus, would being afraid help?" "No." "Then why waste the energy?" She tugged at the scarves. "Seriously though, I'm freezing my tits off here."
I loved this book. It was such a fun, quick romance that started exciting from the start. I loved both Annie and Be'Leth. They were both kind of snarky, and Be'Leth didn't mince words. I loved Annie's personality and outlook. She was much kinder to the women who tried to murder her than I would have been! I guess I'm far more petty lol
This was such a fun, steamy romance. I loved them both so much! The dynamic between them and the way their relationship developed. I wish this was longer! I want to read more of these two! 5 stars
P.S.- Another gorgeous cover! I can't stop staring at it!
Waking up naked on an altar with a bunch of wanna-be witches trying to sacrifice you for power and such does NOT seem like a good time. But I guess when the summoned demon is not only hot, but both morally good (all things considered) and fiercely protective of you, things work out.
I mean, Annie ended up with the better end of the deal, no doubt. Her relationship with Be'Leth might have started off a little rough (mostly because being an intended sacrifice sounds rough), but her demon took care of business with the almost-witches and made sure she was safe which was honestly ideal. Sure, she had a choice to make as far as what she wanted out of his protection, but he let her make said choice and then he worshipped her the way she deserved to be worshipped.
These are bite-sized romances where things happen quickly, the demons are hunky and protective, and the ladies always come out on top. *thumbs up*
At the beginning I was enjoying myself, it was funny, and I thought I would love it. But the sex and dirty talk was awkward at best, and that is the only thing this novella builds toward. It is way too short, it simply doesn't work for me. It wasn't the worst either. By page 20, everything was already so unserious that nothing worked out any more. He quickly takes her virginity, then changes her entire life, no more things she doesn't want to do. And then chapter eight went back to unserious, and then we squish more serious in. Then on the last page, boom, immortality is mentioned and she turns. That gave me whiplash. I didn't like the pacing nor length. I have read several stories that fall around 100 pages, doing something similar, but doing it so much better.

Sacrificed to my Demon is book 4 of the Demon Fated Mates series. This was a great addition to the series. The story was interesting and entertaining. The characters were likable and good. This was an enjoyable quick and steamy read.

One of my biggest complaints with these books is normally they're so short that you can't really get a read on the characters. This one was a little bit longer so I got more depth for the characters I enjoyed it.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. A book club meeting that goes wrong. I liked how Be'Leth is honorable and lets Annie chose to bond with him. They fall in love and chose to strengthen their bond.
I liked this one the best out of them all so far. The male character was the most interesting. Also, it was a tiny bit longer, so you got more of the characters.
You really can’t ever go wrong with a spicy demon x human novella, and this series is one of my favorites to date! In a weird way these feel like coming home; you already know the layout and what to expect the moment you start it. What I especially enjoy is though the formula is the same there are still unique qualities to both the plot and characters.
