Oh I just fell in love as this series gets better and better. I was really surprised that I loved this second instalment even more than Crave as Kennedy hadn’t made a huge impression on me in book one. But he was absolutely lush and his and Zee’s story was not only sexy and passionate; it was quite humorous too.

The tone in Claim definitely wasn’t as sombre as Crave rather it was more of a fun sexy read and it was HOT. Whilst I’ve loved both, this one definitely has the edge because of that. Now I’m even more excited for the next one….and Julien!
Kennedy is a playboy according to everyone not in his circle. His family want him married and settled with a posh bird but he hasn’t got any such plans; Kennedy doesn’t do serious or even the so-called posh birds! Then this all changes when Mackenzie turns up in the club one night at a special BDSM party; divorced and looking for one night stands only as a result. All it takes is one scene and both Kennedy and Zee realise they have a connection they can’t deny nor ignore. Try as Zee might she falls not only to her knees but reluctantly her heart falls too. I can’t blame her; Kennedy is pretty much Dom perfection! Oh and he does NOT give up on something or someone he wants. And Kennedy wants Zee. He realises that this is a one of a kind connection. It takes Zee a bit longer though, sadly.

I thought Mackenzie was a brilliant heroine. She’s a tough, intelligent and sassy woman who’s comfortable with who she is whilst trying to safeguard her heart. I’ve come to the conclusion that Sierra sure knows how to write the type of heroines I love. There’s no unnecessary dramatics and back and forth. Her heroine was believable and her issues understandable.

Kennedy is one gorgeous, intelligent, caring and passionate man. He has a serious side sure, but the balance between that and the quirkiness that has him in funky coloured trainers makes him absolutely knickers melting perfect. He has that brilliant dry and sarcastic humour I absolutely love.

The way he loves, his perseverance and his attention to detail is just yummy-liscious….and the way he claims. Yeah; I fell in lust, love and onto my knees!

I came on GRs a couple of months ago jonesing for a steamy, authentic BDSM read and came across this review by my friend Book Addict - La Crimson Femme https://www.goodreads.com/review/show.... I immediately dove into my first Sierra Cartwright novel and was taken immediately to a whole new world....
I'm not sure I can do the book as much justice as Book Addict, but I will try...

This was soooo good. I couldn't put the book down, not joking!
Kennedy is an amazing dom and human being and I totally want him al for myself :D He is a bit pushy and he's excellent at being sneaky and seductive and, seriously, I want him all for myself :D
I liked that Mackenzie didn't let herself be pushed around by and didn't give in to his high-handed demands(I totally would have :D). She's a bit emotionally stunted, but in the end she sees the light.
The sex scenes were really hot. I could feel their chemistry from their first meeting. There were no awkward fumblings for them. With every scene they got closer, despite Mackenzie's wish that it wouldn't happen.
I can't wait for Ms. Cartwright to write Julien's story, I hope she does at least.

Claim, the second book in the Bonds series was a good, quick read... okay mainly because I've been anxiously waiting to read it, I read i!
This one, for me, started out a little slow, didn't keep me riveted from the beginning like most of Ms. Cartwright's books do, but after about the first quarter of the book, it picked up and I was again immersed in her story.
I enjoyed watching Kennedy and Mackenzie, or Zee as Kennedy likes to call her, develop their relationship.
Loved Zee's personality, she was witty and fun. And everything she said she wasn't, she became with Kennedy. Zee had been burned pretty bad in her marriage, and decided from then on, *no relationships*, period. Oh and no cuddly aftercare either, she didn't need or want that!
Kennedy feels pretty much the same way, no relationships, and definitely no matrimony. Didn't need or want either of those.
But all bets are off when they meet each other again after a few years.
Kennedy enjoys doing aftercare for his subs, and he enjoys a good cuddle, and he's the perfect Dominant to show Zee that, against her better judgement, she enjoys those things too. Zee's inner dialog, during those times, made me laugh out loud
Kennedy and Zee are just sexy-hot together. Watching them both progress into a relationship they both swore they'd never want was a fun journey.
The slow start to this one takes it down to a 4.5 star review. I'm looking forward to the next in this wonderful series!

Wow, how did I skip this one? This is fabulous and the BDSM is so good! Yes, this is a billionaire type trope, but it is done so well. Ms. Cartwright pens a winner in this second book to the series. It can be read as a standalone. More fun to read this in order.
Kennedy is the young rich eligible bachelor women want to marry. He's also a kinky one. Most of the women dangling off his arms are gold diggers. When he meets a submissive through a mutual friend, the chase goes the other direction. MacKenzie met Kennedy years ago and it left a lasting impression. Burned by a cheating spouse and with parents who have divorced multiple times, MacKenzie doesn't believe in marriage. She is happy to be single and is a commitment phobe.
The chase and seduction of MacKenzie by Kennedy is panty wetting goodness. Seriously, he cranks up his erotic play and I'm panting for another scene. Ms. Cartwright's bdsm and sex in this story is smoking hot. There is more to this erotic romance than the kink and sex, but it is pretty memorable compared to the conflicts and plot.
For those looking for a romantic maledom with wealthy men sweeping an independent career woman off her feet, this book is for you. Well written, enticing and captivating.

Loved this read, I loved this book better than the first in the series, but i still find the sub, not very submissive, hence the drop in a star.
This one follows Kennedy from the first book, but he's interested in Mackenzie who is a sub who has suffered a horrible divorce and lost faith in all men. Kennedy falls for Mackenzie big style...he's also one hell of a Dom.
At the start of the book I loved the Dom / sub relationship. But as the book progressed and she started to fight Kennedy I was less happy. I didn't like the fact he kept asking her how many paddles/ hits she "wanted"/ deserved?, fine her to say and for him to ask, but ultimately it should be his choice, as he points out at the start of the book.
Over all I loved the book, and look forward to more from this author. I also liked the fact that previous characters were still referred to, and their relationships continued.
I have read this book on behalf of totally bound.

Crave was an emotional journey of former lovers trying to reconnect and rebuild the trust they’d once shared. Claim, on the other hand, was just pure, sexy fun between a stubborn but charming Dom, and an equally stubborn submissive. The story was scorching hot, heartwarming and laugh out loud funny at times. An odd thing to say about a BDSM story, but true nonetheless. This was the first time I’d encountered humor in Ms. Cartwright’s writing, and I loved it.
I LOVED Kennedy! Hells bells, he came pretty darn close to being the perfect male specimen, and he knocked a few Doms off my book husband list. The description of his handsome good looks aside (I’m a sucker for a little scruff, green eyes and dark hair that just brushes the shoulders), he was a lot more fun that I initially imagined, considering his wealth and family background. I adored his sense of humor, the clever quips, the “kinky as fuck” moves he put on Zee and just his overall approach towards unearthing his feelings.
After ditching her cheating ex-husband, Mackenzie was adamant that being single was the most wonderful thing in the world. She was a great heroine, even though I had moments of frustration with her. However, when I kept in mind that they’d been on a rather fast track from acquaintances to more and given her own strange family history, I better understood her reluctance to try to have a relationship. She wasn’t a stranger to BDSM, however she was used to getting her way with Doms. Once she realized that Kennedy wasn’t going to be easily manipulated into giving her what she wanted and let her walk away, she began to really fire up those walls of hers.
“I didn’t let you hide. I took off your panties, I beat you, I ate your pussy, clamped your nipples. And then I really terrified you, didn’t I? I carried you. I held you. You didn’t want the aftercare, going as far as to tell me you don’t snuggle. […]”
I thought they made a great couple. They both cared a lot for their friends, and they were also quite successful in their careers, and their sexual chemistry oozed from their pores whenever they were together. Since book one we’ve known that Kennedy had been avoiding his mother’s designs on pairing him up with a potential wife of a suitable pedigree. Strangely, I thought his mother would be one of the obstacles in this story, but his parents surprised me, and Kennedy himself. That was rather touching, and handled maturely, I thought. If you’re expecting Zee to fall head over heels in love with Kennedy, you’ll be disappointed. She took quite a while (past the 70% mark) to even entertain the thought of having more, and she often made false assumptions about him. And cue the wonderful influence of best friends on both sides to talk some sense into those two.
On a side note, I couldn’t help but giggle over the names of some of the other characters. First there was Zee’s friend Bella and her douchebag boyfriend James. There was also a Mrs. Carlisle. At that point I told myself I’d have a fit if an Alice showed up. Well, she did. And finally there was a Charlie. Whenever I see names like those I wish I could wipe Twilight from my mind. Anyway, I just thought that was amusing.
If you enjoy kink (mostly spanking, quite a bit of anal play and using the D/s honesty as a tool to push their budding relationship along) then this might be the book for you. I’d read this again! It can be read as a stand alone.

Reviewed for Confessions From Romaholics
Sierra Cartwright is an author that has come up many times when it comes to BDSM romances and producing quality novels that are full of substance that I have loved and enjoyed for a couple years now when I get the chance to read. I couldn’t past up an opportunity to read her latest novel as it been a while since I have read something by her .
Claim is the second book in the Bond series but it can be read as a standalone and tells the story of Kennedy and Mackenzie. Two souls from different walks of life who happen to met in a BDSM gathering. However there more to the story that meets the eye and as the author weaves the story we soon discover that they have met before and there is a history between these two.
Kennedy is the rich and powerful CEO who runs away from entanglements because he doesn’t want the responsibilities and be tied up in a marriage. BDSM gatherings are the way to work off his extra energy and remain discreet. However rumours are making the rounds thanks to ex that didn’t get what she wanted and Kennedy is seriously wondering what next.
Till he is introduced to Mackenzie, a woman who helped out of situation , a couple of years ago and never forgotten. He appeals to her as a sub and a woman but there is something holding her back. Mackenzie is emotionally cold and seeks Doms out for relief with out the need to feel. She has forgotten how to be loved and cared by a male . You want to hate her but she doesn’t know how to deal and despite her friends trying to help , she is restless and unable to communicated what she wants until Kennedy takes charge
Kennedy is definitely the alpha male but he has a soft side and understand the responsibilities of a being a Dom too well. He wants to claim Mackenzie but he knows that he needs to heal her first before she understand everything. I loved that this wasn’t just about their Dom/sub relationship and it wasn’t 24/7 days a week one . The interactions between the characters is beautiful as Kennedy drew Mackenzie out and then with his friends and family. I loved the round about way his sister and Julian went to make sure that Mackenzie didn’t have ulterior motives and discover whether she is perfect for him.
It a beautiful story of healing through BDSM and I enjoyed this story a lot on face value , however I didn’t fully connect to the story on an emotional level. Therefore I only could give it 3.5 couples. I can’t fault the author’s style , it just didn’t do it for me the way I thought I would on a emotional level. I would definitely recommend this series to lovers of BDSM and I’m looking forward to her new book in the series as I love her ‘scenes’ in this book . They are some of the most unique ones I have read so far and different from what I read before.

Therefore I only could give it 3.5 couples. I can’t fault the author’s style , it just didn’t do it for me the way I thought I would on a emotional level. I would definitely recommend this series to lovers of BDSM and I’m looking forward to her new book in the series as I love her ‘scenes’ in this book . They are some of the most unique ones I have read so far and different from what I read before.

Kennedy Aldrich is a successful business man, who taken over his father's business when he became ill. He's been dodging commitment. After a scandalous break-up, his parents hope he sown his oats.
Mackenzie Farrell (Zee), is divorced and happily single. Her ex-husband had cheated right after they were married. Instead of having her heart broken again, she has decided to stay single. Both her parents have been divorced and she has a very extended family. Her parents relationship issues haven't helped her confidence in long term relationships.
"I think you keep a shell around you. It looks thick to the rest of the world, but that's the trick. You cultivate that image so no one will know how fragile it really is. No one will realize you're vulnerable, that you don't want to be hurt, that you are afraid to trust."
Kennedy and Mackenzie had chemistry from their first scene. McKenzie does her best to keep their relationship a 'non-relationship'. Kennedy continues to try and woo over Zee.
"Mackenzie recognized that she was becoming ensnared. The way he spoke to her, commanded her, claimed her, all put her under his spell."
Although Kennedy continued to try and formalize their relationship, Mackenzie continued to pull away. She was fearful of losing her privacy and her heart.
Kennedy, makes the biggest mistake, he gives Mackenzie and ultimatum and she runs. After weeks of being separated she decides they should try a relationship. The question is who will take the first step?
This was a sweet (physically painful and HOT at times) story. Both character have nuances that make them real. Kennedy has developed OCD with his new position in life. He has been thrown into a stressful job and needs to keep his life in order. Mackenzie has been hurt and does her best to keep her heart intact. They learn from each other that a relationship takes time, but can be done. Mackenzie learns to open her heart and Kennedy learns to gives up some control.

This book is the second in the Bonds series by Sierra Cartwright. As with the first book in this series, this novel is truly wonderful. Again, Ms. Cartwright has demonstrated that she not only truly understands the elements of the BDSM lifestyle but that she is a master storyteller and knows how to weave an inspiring and well-written story.
As I have written in previous reviews of Ms. Cartwright's books, I have read a significant number of novels that purport to be "BDSM-based" books. Very few genuinely understand the true elements of the lifestyle. Many books insert elements of "kinky sex" into the stories and assume that that is enough to give the reader an accurate sense of the BDSM lifestyle. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Ms. Cartwright has proven that she understands the basis of the lifestyle which has, at its very heart and soul, the need for complete and total honesty and integral communication between the parties in the relationship as well as the understanding of the power exchange between the Dominant and submissive partners. Ms. Cartwright not only understands this but she weaves this understanding of the D/s and M/s dynamic throughout her books. It isn't just the eroticism or the "kinky sex" that make her books fantastic. It is her true understanding of the D/s and/or M/s dynamics and the other elements of the lifestyle that elevate her books from mere erotic romances to true works of literature.
In the hands of a lesser author, Claim would be just another ho-hum erotic romance. Due to Ms. Cartwright's superior storytelling skills and her knowledge base in all things BDSM, this novel goes far, far beyond the everyday and becomes something extraordinary. It is yet again another example of Ms. Cartwright's ability to take a regular, everyday romantic situation, intertwine the basics of BDSM into the storyline, add a genuine eroticism between the characters and tell the story from multiple characters' points of view to achieve an incredible novel. I have yet to read one of her books, either co-written with another author or one of her solo efforts, that I haven't absolutely loved. I would highly recommend Claim, particularly if you are genuinely interested in the truth behind real BDSM relationships and an interesting and engaging storyline that will keep you engrossed from start to finish.

'Claim' is the second book in Sierra Cartwright's "Bonds" series and there is nothing in this book not to love. This time it's Kennedy Aldrich's turn to share his life with us and Ms. Cartwright does it with such aplomb. His reputation as a businessman, his practicing of BDSM, and his playboy agenda are often splashed across the tabloid whether in the truth or conjectured form. Nothing seems to be secret or sacred which has his mother having apoplexy over the headlines. Mackenzie, aka Zee, had been married until she found her husband in bed with another woman on their honeymoon. She's stoically vowed to be single, and remain that way, for the rest of her life. Having a scene at the BDSM club is one thing but she even declines the aftercare, not wanting the intimacy. Ms. Cartwright pairs these two together and the fireworks are chemistry-driven, especially when Kennedy decides he REALLY likes this woman. What continued to enthrall me was the way we were able to personally feel both of these individuals' reactions and feelings towards each other's actions or words. This one was spectacular in its telling.

I know when I read a book by this authour, it is going to be hot and sexy, but Kennedy and MacKenzie connection on a cerebral level enhanced their connection a thousand-fold! Both have figured out what they want and where they want to be in life, and that does not include a relationship. While their developing thoughts on this move at different paces, they both make the personal changes subtly, and for the better, to feed their desires
While everyone who sees them together knows how perfect they are for each other, they both need that time to figure it out for themselves. The results are an extremely hot and sexy, angst free, adult relationship between two people stuck on labels and personal decisions

Interesting
This was more of a D/S relationship than a romantic relationship. Way to much negotiation between the parties. Couple is not what I would the relationship. This story was more of a one upmanship. The ending solidified this thinking. Not really impressed with this one.

This is a well written story with awesome characters. This is the second book in this series, and I have to say it is awesome. I loved seeing characters from the first book. I think you will enjoy this one. Once again watch for the shoes. This one is worth your time.

My Thoughts
I have to say that i have the same thoughts coming out of this 2nd installment to the Bonds series that i had from the first - that we get exactly what we have come to love and expect from our author in terms of the characters and story line, yet i think that there's so much more that could have been done that it felt like a novella v. a 2nd installment.
So like the summary tells us, we have 2 characters that have their own fair share of relationship issues. Kennedy is the successful member of the boys club, and it's his turn to step up to the relationship game - although it's not something that he really went out looking for. His mom wants him to get married off and while that's not his motive in life, some of this friends (outside of the boys club) are taking it upon themselves to help him out. In a way, it helps him since there has been gossip tied to him lately and that's something that while he doesn't care about it, he'd like to diffuse it.
That same night when Kennedy is trying to diffuse, he re-meets Dar as we meet her here, real name Mackenzee - or Zee as he likes to call her. She's damaged - coming out of a relationship where her husband cheated on her and while she knows that it wasn't her, she isn't in the market to ever get married again. Meeting Kennedy, a dom that clearly knows what he wants and how he wants it it becomes a huge challenge for her and a sexual draw.
The journey that we go on with these 2 is a nice one - we see that Zee really needs to be pushed by someone, to be challenged since she's really been the one to put the limits on everything in her life. from professional to personal. She calls the shots, she says when, and Kennedy is definitely not the sort to even abide by any of that. Kennedy goes out of his comfort zone in the sense that he's allowing a woman to distract him from life - to get absorbed into the romance of things and that's a great transition for him.
There's great scening, the way that the story is written from within The Hub (the BDSM club that things kick off in) is hot - there's really a great variety of what can be done there, who's involved and the rules and safety tied to it. Maybe not as hard core as a lot of other stories in the genre, but still hot enough to make you feel like you're right there tied up to the cross or square with these D/s relationships.
The anxiety and tension that we get comes in the form of an ultimatum which is something that Zee can't stand for and doesn't - and the resolution is up in the air on who will make the move, if either will and what it will mean. While the story takes the expected path, i think that it felt a little rushed to me. Again back to the notion that this felt more like a novella than a novel, i think that it's because the story takes place over a path of just a few weeks to get us to this climatic place, and while in erotica that's normal, it felt like it was still hurried. we get great kink and sex, but i don't know that we were taken to the level that we could have if it were expanded on. Regardless, i think that we get to see a lot more of Kennedy and get to learn quite a bit about Zee and that in itself is a success.
The question remains as to which of the boys is next, and i kind of hope that Julien's pilot Svetlana continues to play a role and that we get to see her as a main one of these days as well. so....Enjoy!

Claim is the 2nd book in Sierra Cartwrights Bonds series. You'll find my review of the first book too on my blog and Goodreads.
Where to start with this. I'm finding I'm having to write the blog for this quickly, because like the first book, once I put it down, its just not extremely memorable to me. It wasn't a bad read, but just nothing stands out for me to keep my attention once I move onto other books. The story itself is rather good, and there were parts in it that full on made me chuckle.
Kennedy Aldrich is a man of extreme focus. What he wants, he focuses all his attention on and does what needs to be done to get it. He -wants- Mackenzie, or Zee as he calls her. Aside from his crazy neon shoes that he wears, in a variety of color, he's actually intense guy. You do get a feel of dominant when you read about him. I was a bit disappointed with him though, in the first book.. he come across like the insightful one, so when he messes up in this one, almost along the same exact lines that he gave advice about.. it just made me shake my head. I almost felt like he never let up, has to have control in all things but for me, it was missing that softer edge. You're told he cares and you know the attraction is there, but his inner monologue goes on about wanting a caring relationship and since all I ever saw was the aftercare of the caring part, that didn't say to me "I'm falling in love with this woman." It just read to me as, "I'm possessive and I like what I've got. I'm keeping it." I wanted to take a frying pan to his head a few times.
Mackenzie is a woman coming out of a divorce. Her scumbag ex cheated her on her and basically the ink wasn't even dry on their marriage certificate. That's more than enough to screw with any woman's head. So, she likes her life, and she likes being single. In fact, she wields the I'm single sword deftly, and deflects with the I'm single and loving it shield, often. It's going to take a special someone for her, to break down those walls... and that some one is Kennedy.
These two meet and it's like an insta-lust smoothie with a side of spanking.
Then you find out that they've met before, if briefly but it wasn't on this level and was before she was even divorced. He didn't know she was submissive.. and you can't miss his reputation, so she did know he was a dominant. It just wasn't their time.
My problem started here.. they have great chemistry, as I stated before, but chemistry and love connection just aren't the same. I didn't feel -both- in this. I knew it was there, but I didn't feel it from the characters. Sometimes you'll get a one liner, like this..
But it's effect is pretty much instantly ruined by his inner dialogue and his noting to himself that it's for someone elses benefit. It pretty much ruins the actual "I care connection" for me. The only time it seems they do connect, emotionally, is when they are doing scenes. But that is literally the -only- time I noticed it.
In the end, I gave this book three stars. It's not bad, another good fluff read, but for me, it was more for those who like reading scene's about scene's, and not someone looking for that connection between characters in a book. (I feel I should define what I mean when I say "fluff" read in this too. That would be books that I read between other books because nothing has caught my attention.)

I am so glad I picked this up for review, it was intense, sexy and romantic!
I have read a couple of other stories by Ms. Cartwright before and I really liked her work and not sure why I have not read more of them?? Well I will definitely remedy that after reading this story.
Though this is part of a series, it is written as a stand alone, so don't feel nervous about starting in the middle of a series. I really liked the characters. Kennedy is an alpha-male, a millionaire and a Dom, what is not to like??? He is more than that and it takes seeing Mackenzie again for him to realize he does want a wife and family not just a job. Mackenzie has been hurt by her ex and she keeps herself aloof from men and attachments, but she can't hide from Kennedy. He does a great job of showing her what a true relationship means. I can't forget to leave out the sexy part of the book, it is fantastic and very well written, you can tell Ms. Cartwright knows her BDSM. This story will get your blood a pumpin'.
I plan to go back and read the first book in the series and look forward to more by this Author.

Mackenzie has been hurt by her ex and she keeps herself aloof from men and attachments, but she can't hide from Kennedy. He does a great job of showing her what a true relationship means. I can't forget to leave out the sexy part of the book, it is fantastic and very well written, you can tell Ms. Cartwright knows her BDSM. This story will get your blood a pumpin'.
I plan to go back and read the first book in the series and look forward to more by this Author.

It is interesting that the series is called Bonds, after Julien's name, however he himself is like a genie in a bottle or even less so. In first story he has orchestrated reunion scene here he just appears and an episode guest and basically does nothing besides some small talk. I wonder if talk about abstinence is true or means the other way around. Well, nevermind.
This was an interesting story. Heroine is broken by her own unsuccessful marriage that haven't lasted longer than honeymoon period as well as examples of more unsuccessful ones from around her. She set her mind that she should not date man or get into any kind of relationships with them. Hero on the other hand was thunderstroked into a sudden urge to get married. He too is just came from an ugly separation but wasn't much hurt from that i imagine. It was more scandal and falsehood of the accusations than real feelings that were hurt. Although i imagine feeling must have been hurt too. Anyway, he is a man that knows what he wants and he intends to get it even if he had to wear down heroine in order to get that. I wonder though how this is possible after just a couple of times they saw each other. Either i missed timeframe or this is a version of "love at first sight".
This is kinda interesting point of view on things as those two imagine themselves to be experts in other people relationships but screw up when it's closer to home. It is easy to talk from the distance. And heroines friend humbles her in the end.
Also i guess it's hard to trust another person after you have been burned to the ground in your previous relationship. Even if you really really want to but afraid to acknowledge it even to yourself. I guess in these series women are all scary of commitment and men are the one who are pursuing them and want a ring/collar/or whatever to be placed on the woman they love. Interesting.

I really enjoyed Claim by Sierra Cartwright. It is the second book in the fabulous Bonds series. In this installment we meet Mackenzie or Zee and Kennedy. They are SO sexy together and just a match made in heaven, even if they can’t recognize it at first.
Zee I found to be a breath of fresh air. She’s one of those humble girls who are completely unaware that she’s extremely hot and a perfect 10 in the eyes of most men. She’s been burned in her previous marriage and very reluctant to start another relationship. She has reinvented herself as a woman and men aren't included in her world.
Kennedy was so stunning, and beautiful. I found him so mesmerizing. It’s way too often that I’m reading about some prick billionaire Dom who is overbearing and demanding. Kennedy commands attention, yet he doesn’t have to be a snob or a jerk to get it. He is also very humble and absolutely adorable- A perfect catch.
The scenes were amazing! Zee has been out of the BDSM saddle and wanted to get back in and find an appropriate Dom for her tastes. I loved the way Kennedy was so blunt with Zee, often making her blush or her mouth fly open. He wanted to worship Zee and boy did he!! The jeweled plug and clamps at dinner was amazing, had me squirming as I read. I loved the rope and suspension detail in the beginning of the book for The Hub, where Zee and Kennedy reunited. One of my favorite things added to the story was the padlock. I just loved how such a small detail, played into the story from beginning to end. It helped tie it all together.
This was an amazing BDSM story where the woman really needs to be taken care of and the hero delivers. Showing her that all men are not the same and the she can love again- Inspiring and hot. I’ll wait with bated breath for the next one!!!

Just finished Claim with a big smile on my face. After reading the first book in the Bonds series I knew Claim was gonna be good. Little did I know it would be better than the first.
Let's start with Kennedy. Funny, sexy, and okay he's rich but really it was his wicked sense of humor that charmed me. Mackenzie is equally humorous but she has some man issues that she has to get over. When these two get together the sex is sizzling hot. Now as much as I liked the sex it was their verbal sparring that kept me up until the wee hours of the morning. Quick, snappy with out being overly snarky. Kennedy's Dom side had a devilishly funny side that had me giggling. No details on the what but let me add 'Brat' and buttplugs. Giggles!
But seriously folks, I thoroughly enjoyed watching these to develop into a D/s relationship...despite both of their issues. It was a must satisfying read. Once again we get a to experience one of my favorite secondary characters, Julian. I just know he's going to get his own book but the suspense on the when is killing me.
I fell in love with Ms. Cartwright's writing a couple of books ago and let me tell you, if you're not reading her books you are missing out. Easily she is one of the best authors I have discovered this year. Claim works very well as a stand-alone but I highly recommend reading the series from the beginning. If for no other reason than to get to experience Julian.

What we like about Kennedy:
He’s a hard working man, who’s loyal to his friends and family.
He brings Zee delicious chocolate treats. What women can resist a coffee and pain au chocolate in the morning?
He is a Dom who can admit when he has fucked up. That is a rare and wonderful trait in a man.
While he has the ability to manipulate Zee into entering a relationship, he does not. He is supportive and gives her little pushes when she needs them.
He is a excellent Dom who is always in tune with his sub’s needs.
What we like about Mackenzie:
Being a submissives does not mean she is weak. She is both strong and independent.
Even though she is a sub, she’s a dominant in the business world and within her career.
She does not use her and Kennedy’s hot sexy relationship to advance her business.
She is very non-judgemental. Zee knew when to support her friend and silence her own opinions.
Why we liked them:
They have a great playful relationship, with a lot of sexy witty banter.
We want to be friends with them, and maybe go watch a football game together (if it didn’t make us fall asleep).
We like how the couple had a prior encounter before meeting for the first time in this novel. They were meant to be, le sigh…
It is a steady novel, with a bit of drama, but it is just really about a couple hashing out their difference and coming together. It is realistic, with a bunch of sexy BDSM thrown in!

Ahh, Kennedy even for a Dom he really was a sweetie! I'm sure he wouldn't like to be thought of as a sweetie, but his actions says otherwise.
Dar/Mackenzie, she was a strong businesswoman, with an independent mind, she knew what she wanted and was not afraid to go for it. Her visit to the Hub, although not her first was interesting, she definitely got more than she had bargained for. I loved her group of friends, Bella was a good friend, as was Mackenzie in return.
Kennedy had a strong group of friends too; in Julien, Reece and Grant. We already know Reece's story and I'm sure Grant and Julien's are going to be Fab. Although they were together for Reece's bachelor party, they really had Kennedy's back.
As essentric as Julien is, he helped Kennedy see sense and made him realise he had been a fool.
As did Bella with Mackenzie, I loved the interaction between Mackenzie and her neighbour and his dog, she has a really caring nature.
The sexy scenes were fab, and I needed to fan myself more than once, not to mention other forms of relief :) !
I felt that although the story ended on a very good positive note, it would be great to have seen how they got on with the moratorium they had agreed to.
Looking forward to finding out more about Julien or will it be Grant in the next book. Love your work Sierra !

it's the ultimate love story .... he won't commit and neither will she!
but what happens when the most eligible bachelor meets all that he wants in a woman and she keeps running away from him?
I loved these two !!! Kennedy is totally adorable and lovable and all the best and of course you want a piece of him for yourself ! and he get's hit by the "holly grail" we seek - being the one woman that will change a man that declines change and progressing forward.
Zee is his match in more ways than one and she keeps shaking her head NO at him that you want to pull her in a corner and ask WTF ????? but she's got reasons and even after a while you still wonder WTF is she still refusing him. but who ever has been hurt knows what is like to risk it all again! so I get her and the end is sooooo much sweeter for it !!!

This is the second book the the Bonds series. I'm a huge fan of Sierra Cartwright and Claim does not disappoint. While this book can be read as a standalone, I strongly suggest that you read Crave. Not because you would need to but when it comes to Alpha Dominants....why would you want to miss out on the opportunity?
We meet Mackenzie and she is insecure in her own ways due to her own failed marriage. She's hurt and doesn't really want to put her heart on the line anymore.
Kennedy is bound to lay claim on Mackenzie, no matter how many defenses Mackenzie puts in his way, he's determined to have her. He's sexy, alphalike and very much a dominant. Overwhelming in his own ways with the best of intentions, he's not aware the impact his actions may cause.
The way the two come together is heart racing and leaves you wanting more, I can not wait to get more of the Bonds series....can't help but crave it...
