Plum Parrot is the pen name of author MC Gallup, who grew up in Southern Arizona and spent much of his youth wandering around the Sonoran Desert, hunting imaginary monsters and building forts. He studied creative writing at the University of Arizona and, for a number of years, attempted to teach middle schoolers to love literature and write their own stories. If he's not out walking his Airedale Terrier, you can find Gallup writing, reading his favorite authors, or playing D&D with friends and family.

The wild west LitRPG moves on to the big city, or rather, a whole other world. Wolfing it up, speaking words of power, and generally getting attacked everywhere they go.

Fun stuff. I'm always pretty pleased with the stories and characters of Plum Parrot. Good enough that I generally pick up anything by them and almost always have a good time. And this is no different.

So do bad

The series started off good with books one and two but this one was so bad.

And book one and two are protagonist struggles and isn't an almighty demigod of destruction.

I don't know if the author got tired with the series and just wanted it to be done with this book or what but and this book he basically skips to the final chapter and one punches all the bosses.

There's a little bit of struggle but it's contrived and it's basically the author just covering his butt.

Exciting with great world building!

Another amazing entry in an amazing series, great main characters, good story, amazing magic system. Thoroughly enjoyable series, would give higher than 5 stars if I could!

Good conclusion

I'm sad that this seems to be the conclusion but I think the story ended in a good place. I think Vainglory is very underrated and I hope in the future more people give it a try.

This was a great series with fantastic world building. There is so much more opportunity for this world. Fantasy noir detective with magic and monsters.
