I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephane's Book Reports.
I am so sad this is the final book in this series. I have loved each and every one of them. If you have not started this series, then you are missing out on some amazing books. Devi's Foxglove is the story of Katie and Roan. He is the heir to the Albanian crime family. He is ruthless and powerful and not afraid to do what he has to do. For obvious reasons he doesn't let a whole lot of people get close to him. But then comes along Katie. FBI agent, total bad butt and a girl who is looking for her sister. She has been doing so for years. However, she is keeping a whole lot of secrets from Roan and he knows it from the moment he sees her in his father's home working as a maid. He is one to her and the only way to find out what is going on is to keep her as close as he possibly can. Her mission or I should say threat of her sister's life, is to find all the information she can on Roan and his family and feed it to whoever has her sister. And now I have to be quiet about this book, or I will give something away. I wasn't to sure about Roan at first but boy of boy did I grow to love him. When this guy falls he falls but sure does keep it from even himself at times. Katie is a total bad butt. This girl, I have no doubt, could hold her own in any situation. And she sure does find herself in some situation. These two butt heads and have some serious chemistry flying all over the place while doing it. I devoured this book. Devil’s Foxglove was a pleasant and easy read overall, but it didn’t fully work for me as a standalone.
While the writing itself was smooth and the story was straightforward, I found myself constantly questioning the heroine’s anxiety and the betrayal that was repeatedly hinted at. Since the book was marketed as something that can be read as a standalone, I expected those elements to be clearly explored within this story. Instead, they felt like gaps, as if important emotional context was missing. It may work better when read as part of the series, but as a standalone, it didn’t quite deliver on that promise.
Aside from that, the storyline was fairly linear and predictable. It was enjoyable enough, but it didn’t bring anything particularly new or surprising to the table in terms of plot or emotional depth.
Overall, a decent read for a relaxed reading mood, but it left me with unanswered questions and a sense that it needed more substance to truly stand on its own.

These two butt heads at every turn, and Roan is determined to uncover what Katie is up to.
This is a well written action-packed story, with family, friendships, emotions, tension, secrets, drama, angst, danger, suspense, intrigue, chaos, enemies / lovers, forced proximity, opposites attract, sacrifices, explosive chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable, dark mafia romance.
I look forward to reading more from these talented authors’ whose work I highly recommend.

Devil's Foxglove is book 5 in the Nightshades series. This one is Roan Përmeti, heir to the Albanian Crime Family and Katie Pierce's story. It's an great, engaging addition to the Nightshades series. Katie's in a very precarious situation and Roan is intent on discovering exactly what she's up to. Their story is full of drama, intrigue, danger and chaos and it quickly pulls you into Roan and Katie's journey and doesn't let go. My heart hurt for Katie as well as Roan. I don't think the path was easy for either one of them. The chemistry between these characters is explosive and their storyline is completely consuming. Roan and his Katina definitely captured my heart. Another must read in this great series!

What I loved most was the tension between them. Their chemistry is intense, messy, and impossible to ignore, and the way the romance builds alongside the suspense made it even more addictive. It’s fast-paced, steamy, and full of twists, with characters that feel strong and layered.
If you enjoy dark romance with mafia danger, emotional tension, and a “this could destroy us” kind of love story, this one is definitely worth reading.

Absolutely loved Roan and Katina. The spice was spicing, the tension was tensioning and the whole character development was also just on spot. Sasha you’ve hooked me onto a new drug and now I can’t wait to read more of your writings. I’ve read the rest of your writings but Nightshades might be the best of all time.
I’m craving for you to write on Kayla. I want to know her story, how the ML will impress the power couple for her hand. Like literally anything. I’d be really happy if you could even just write a novella for Kayla. Personally I’m shipping her with Dhimitër but Lorik isn’t a bad choice either. Just anything to satisfy the curiosity pleaseee😭😭

Loved the way this series ended and loved that Roan knew from the beginning the truth.
Katie is an undercover FBI agent and she is forced to infiltrate into the Permeti mafia estate by posing as a housemaid named Mia Jorge, she is blackmailed in doing so because of her younger sister, Kayla, who has been missing for years. Upon his return from a business trip, Roan Permeti, the heir to the family empire, immediately becomes suspicious of "Mia," sensing that her name and persona are fake, yet he feels an instant and intense attraction to her. In the end Roan and Katie form an alliance to rescue Kayla and take down the villain. All ends well and everybody at last have their HEA.

Katie and Roan were great characters in this book. I was quickly drawn into the chaos and suspense. The connection between them was fire. Watching them deny it was even hotter. The twists and turns in this kept me reading on. This book had great depth and was intriguing. The writing was well done. Description was so awesome. It was like watching this play out in my mind. The push and pull between them. The desire that they were trying to deny…loved it! This is the first time I’ve read this author, and it definitely won’t be the last.

She is playing a wait and see game while Roan is taking everything he wants. Will they find a way to circumvent the danger and get their chance for happiness. This thrilly story is filled with twists and turns that drew me in to Roan and Katie.

I enjoyed both Roan and Katie.
Both are strong main characters!

Another great addition
A disgraced FBI agent out for redemption gets herself in more hot water by infiltrating the house of the Albanian mafia. The head of said Albanian mafia just so happens to be a tall broody hulk of man with gorgeous flowing red locks. Fireworks 🎆 ignite and Roan's Spidey sense is set off by the 'new maid'. These two I swear just got each other and the attraction was so deep and unrepentant that they had no choice. No matter the lies and betrayal they always gravitated to each other. Drama, suspense and mystery loved it all! 😍

5 Stars for Devil’s Foxglove by Sasha Leone and Roselyn Ash. These two authors writing the Nightshade series are doing a great job ! I was drawn to the beautiful cover as a gardener Foxglove is such a beautiful perennial.
Roan is heir to a brutal Albanian crime family - Katina his sworn enemy tasked to take him down. This is a fast paced and intense read ! Great chemistry as well !

Loved this book! I devoured it like I devoured the rest of the series. Unfortunate that this is the last book in the series cause I could read this series forever!
I love the writing style and the plot, with enough spicy to make it sizzling. It’s got everything you could want in a mafia book, from the romance to the gory scenes, it’s got it all.

I really liked this book and both the main characters, I also really loved Afrim and wanted to see more of him.
I liked that Roan knew the truth about Katie fairly early on and by around the 60% mark, they were on the same page fo the most part.
I’m thinking Roan might be my new favorite MMC in the series.

Loved book 5💕 The entire series is awesome!
I caught wind of The Nightshades series from a fellow mafia romance reader and was instantly hooked. I devoured the entire series and ma saddened it’s now ended. I couldn’t recommend this book enough. The unmistakable chemistry between the mmc and fmc definitely kept their story spicy.

it just ended
Okay, that seemed completely drawn out then it just ended! So frustrating. And if I’m to believe that the others wanted the MMC to be a part of the nightshades after Elira married Maximo, then why didn’t everyone get their tattoo updated to include the Foxglove. Seemed kind of last minute.

Devil’s Foxglove
Dark, moody, and emotionally intense. Devil’s Foxglove pulled me in with its heavy atmosphere and deeply flawed characters. The slow-burn tension worked well, making the emotions feel earned and lingering even after I finished.
A solid pick if you enjoy dark romance with depth and quiet intensity.

There is something about an alpha mafia romance that just does it for me every single time. Roan and Katie go from enemies to lovers in the best kind of way. I have ready this author before and let me tell you she did not let me down. I devoured this book and read it in a single sitting.- Tasha

You need his obsession and her sassyness. They make the perfect chaos power couple. It is the fifth book in the series, it's a standalone but each one each brings so much possessiveness to the table.

This is a dark romance - please check triggers before reading.
A great mafia dark romance - Katie is an FBI agent who goes undercover as a maid for Roan, the leader of the Albanian mafia. Their strong personalities make for a lot of tension and chemistry, and the power struggle is fun to read.
