This is a fun book. I enjoyed reading about the adventures of Sean and Gel across several environments from desert to oasis to a small city. The only constants were Gel's appetite for flesh and Sean's desire to cook up their enemies. The Bancroft side of the book was short on page count but high on drama. The next book is probably going to have a huge confrontation between our erstwhile heroes and the evil necromancer, Bancroft. In this book Sean and Gel manage to finesse their way from crisis to crisis with plenty of damage given and received but no real losses. It's a lot of fun though perhaps not quite as interesting as the first book. Still, a solid entry in the series and I'm definitely in line for the third book.

Good Read

There was so much happening in this book. I love Auntie Ta; she a true force of nature. The new monsters in this book was amazing, especially the new monster puppy and the ones at the oasis. I love how their evolutions make you think and guess which one they'll pick, but then you find out its not the one you thought they'd pick. Im definitely ready for the third course.

Fun

The story edges into the odd realm of Dungeon Crawler Carl, but it remains more tame. I love the spoilers, and I hope book three keeps the levity.
The climax left me confused at times while the epilogue felt rushed. I hope we can get further character development in the next book.

The most entertaining series I've read in a wile. Humorous, fun, a delightful read. The exploration of hunger and the necessity of consumption has never been such a joy to read.

Really had fun with this book, kept me glued to the screen and never found a time where I wanted to skip a single page!
