This is book 6 in Jae Greyn's Thorn's Brew series. WARNING - if you haven't read the first five books in this series then you need to stop and read them in order otherwise nothing will make sense. Jae weaves intricate stories that are woven together bit by bit.
Finally, Monroe's magic seems to be simmering down as more couples are matched and mated at the Christmas ball. I also uncovered a piece of information, that I didn't previously know, given to us by this sneaky author; "Skins mate to Scales, unless you’re one of Thorn’s sons". Things that make you go, hmm.
Whew!!! What a wild ride. Who ends up with whom is anyone's guess and I'm not giving away any details. All will be revealed.
Either Archer or Thorn's story is up next in the series. During my second reading of Croix, if you've read my previous reviews you know I love to read the books twice to soak it all up, I worked hard at trying to pick up clues on who their mates will be. Spoiler alert, I wasn't successful. I have a few ideas and I can't wait to see what happens. Jae wouldn't be the author she is, if she didn't keep us hanging in suspense.
