Ari Wright resides in a sun-soaked corner of the United States, where she spends her days raising littles, cooking, reading, consuming massive amounts of music, and doing entirely too much daydreaming.
Ari began writing novels at the age of twelve. A passionate book-lover all her life, her mother once joked that she had to start writing her own stories because she had read everyone else’s. After fifteen years of writing, Ari finally set out to author her debut contemporary romance novel... instead, she wrote two!
It has been her lifelong dream to share the worlds inhabiting her mind with others. Welcome to her dream come true!
It hurts to give any Ari book a review under five stars, but I am dying over here. This had such a beautiful setup. An abused omega, literally on deaths door, saved by her fated mates and tied together to start a future. Instead of seeing her slowly get to blossom with steady love and care, it was aching the entire time (which, tbf, I loved, but I also could not forgive how cruel it was).
She was neglected, rejected, had the rest of the pack not fully aware of her wants and needs. Left with barely anything to herself while she struggled to get a sense of who she was in her new freedom. She could have been guided by an experienced alpha, embraced by an omega, given love, touch, and care to get her through her touch-starvation and deep, horrible guilt over how she was saved. Yet instead we get a jealous omega who wants her to suffer. A stubborn alpha who is so caught up on keeping his word that he lets his mate be in physical and emotional pain, and instead of soothing it, cuts her off for weeks on end to care for a man who wants her tossed away. Jealousy makes sense, but the only way any empathy came into play was in her constantly reliving her trauma, and lack of life, until the same person who help create constant pain and rejection in her world became the main saviour in her story??? which came to fruition over one main event in a single night.
I just can't. I wanted so hard to see a unique bonding between the whole pack, and instead this was Violet suffering, and eventually Gideon getting to be her main touchstone, and skating by as still the first person that Atlas reaches for, constantly reassures, and makes love to. Not to mention Finn's interest leading his way as well after Atlas was endlessly possessive of him for a decade. The unequal divide, the lack of groveling, and how quickly it was omega-besties after she was literally given crumbs and made to feel like a massive burden was so hard to reconcile and I just couldn't do it. I couldn't root for how fast everything was resolved, because the build-up warranted SO much groveling that we just didn't get.
All in all, I LOVED the emotional damage. This one hurt. I hated how fast everything was resolved, and therefore, it gets three stars.

Thank you to The Author Agency for sending this my way.
This was such a soft, tangled, emotional little storm of a read, and I mean that in the best way 🪻
What I loved most was how the connection did not start with everything being perfect or easy. It started with friendship, broken pieces, confusion, longing, and all these bonds that felt like they were almost there… but not fully whole yet.
The MMCs already had their own rhythm with each other, and I loved the way they could banter, argue, protect, and understand each other without always needing words. Sometimes it was just a look, and somehow they knew exactly what the other meant. Like excuse me?? That kind of silent communication will always get me 😭
Then Violet came into the picture, and that was when the story started giving me that nostalgic fairytale feeling ✨ Not the perfect, polished fairytale kind, but the soft, aching kind where the girl who has been hurt and left behind slowly becomes the missing piece nobody realized they were waiting for.
Violet’s past made my heart hurt, but I loved how she still carried so much softness in her. She was not perfect, and she did not magically fix everything overnight, but her love and patience slowly pulled everyone closer. She brought something back into the pack that had been missing. She became the thread that tied all the messy, tangled pieces together.
And Ryker? Oh, Ryker got me 🥺 The lost-and-found part of their connection was so emotional. There is something so beautiful about two people being separated when they were younger and then somehow finding their way back to each other again. It made their bond feel deeper, like something that had always been there waiting to be remembered.
I also loved how this story had that mix of sweetness, tension, hurt, comfort, and chaos. There were moments that made me giggle, moments that made me ache, and moments where I just wanted everyone to communicate before my heart gave up completely 😭
This gave me found pack energy, healing love, fairytale nostalgia, “she was the missing puzzle piece” feelings, and bonds that were messy but so worth fighting for 🧩
Definitely an 18+ adult romance, so please check content before reading.
If you love omegaverse, found family, bonded mates, emotional healing, soft-but-hurt heroines, complicated pack dynamics, and a romance that feels tangled in the most beautiful way, this one is worth adding to your list 💜
“Mmm. Fuck. You smell like a goddamn miracle, sweet girl.”
4.5 ⭐️Great Read! This was an emotional journey for me… I felt so bad for all the characters and their own traumas… some worse than others. This book had spice, a great plot twist(even though I kinda figured it out 😊) so much angst (for 2 of the MMCs & FMC), and lots of growth for each character. I only wish there was more groveling.
Altas and Gideon never bonded in the 10 years they were together because Gideon was scared Atlas would find his scent matched omega and leave him. Even though Atlas promised he would never leave….. having Violets half bond HIS alpha was his worst nightmare coming true… And Atlas….. wanted to keep his promises no matter the cost
Finn never wanted an omega, he loved his revolving door and ‘charmed’ life too much….
Ryker was….. ‘broken’, scarred, mute. He couldn’t stand to be around anyone really….especially omegas.
They saved her and she changed them all for the better over time…. Just by being her sweet, compassionate, selfless self.
No cheating, no OWD, no third act breakup with a HEA

‘I’m going to end up being Finn’s friend, aren’t I?’
‘Sweet baby girl. Always—always—thinking about everyone else. Even now, when she’s obviously in the throes of some sort of breakdown.’
‘It took her showing up here, with her claim mark on Atlas’s wrist, to prove everything he’d always promised me. And watching her figure out life as an omega, despite all her trauma…Somehow, that combination made it safe for me to listen to my own instincts. Maybe because I had nothing left to lose. Or maybe it was just… Her.’
“You are the loveliest mate anyone could ever ask for. Knowing the universe deemed me worthy of you… It’s an honor.”
This was hands down my favorite book in the series! This one had so much emotional depth, it felt much more angsty and a bit somber compared to the other books.
Violet and Ryker’s stories were deeply emotional, you could feel the character’s pain and devastation so clearly. I genuinely had an emotional knot in my throat for about 80% of the book.
The writing was absolutely phenomenal! I highlighted so much in this book, there were so many important and heavy moments that were pivotal in the characters growth and story development.
This was the most fairytale out of all the books, you could clearly see the story of Tangled throughout the entire book. The frying pan always made me chuckle, while the lanterns just made me cry (happy tears this time).
I loved Gideon and Atlas’s relationship, I wish we got to see more of them as a couple! Finn was such a sweetheart, he held so much anxiety and insecurity under the surface. Ryker, I wanted to give that poor baby a hug. I adored him, my heart absolutely shattered when we learned more about his backstory. Violet was very soft and quiet, she was an incredibly selfless character who put other’s comfort and security before her own at all times. I don’t usually love the softer FMCs but Violet was an exception.
Overall, this book was fantastic! I do wish we got a bit more on page time with them all together as a pack, honestly I think I just didn’t want this book to end.

Sadly, she didn't have the greatest start & was slowly giving up hope that she would ever get out of her prison & see her sister again.
But two members of a pack find her just before her omega gives up. These two are part of a pack that has an omega who had been portraying himself as an Alpha for so many years. And that same omega has a debt to clear with his cousin who just so happens to be the Alpha to an omega who is looking for her sister.
So many connections lead these two alphas to an abandoned house in hopes of finding that sister. And they found her...but they also found out she is not a beta but an omega. And that she is their mate who during her distress bites the pack leader creating a half bond.
And what then ensues is Violet trying to come to terms with the fact that she is half bonded to an Alpha who is already taken by an omega, learning how to cope with two other Alphas, and also learning that the third alpha in that house is actually one she has encountered before when she was locked away.
There was so much tension between Violet, her alphas, & the other omega but she tried so hard to please everyone. But she still tries so hard to get along with Gideon & I absolutely loved how attentive to his feelings she was. She always thought of his relationship with Atlas & how her being there affected them.
But I also loved how crazy Finn was about her & how he fumbled with courting her but still came out on top once he realized she was so different from any other woman.
Ryker was my fave, apart from Gideon. Once he realized who she was, he did everything to show her how much her cared for her. Being around her helped heal his Alpha. And I absolutely loved how open he became afterwards.
I absolutely loved this book & these characters. Everything about this book hooked me in from the very beginning & all of the characters just had me absolutely enthralled.
Ari Wright did absolutely amazing again & I am so honored to have been able to read it.
I loved the first 2 books in this series so much and was so excited to read this one. I graciously was given the opportunity to receive the ARC.
I’m so pleased with how this one turned out. At the end of the last book I was a little worried about how the story would be presented regarding Briar’s sister, Violet, and the horrible situation that Violet was experiencing due to their POS”father”. Upon reading the trigger warnings for this and the disclosure that forced sex and medically-induced ruts/heats is involved (in the past, off page) I became super worried. I personally can’t stand when there is anything related to r*pe in books. Or any details about it. However, this topic was represented really well. There’s really no confirmation or explicit details per se that it is occurring but it is inferred. That helped me to continue reading the book and not become discouraged with the plot and content.
Overall the plot was very good. I really have nothing to gripe about. I loved Violet’s character. Even though she went through some truly horrific things, her character remained strong throughout the whole book. That was such a breath of fresh air. I don’t like when books have a weak FMC. The MMCs were also extremely likable as well. There was no cheating outside of the group which was a relief. There’s obviously some sharing that happens but that’s standard for a RH and Omegaverse book. And it was very hotttt🫠🥵 I’d say this book has 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ spice.
The book definitely has a HEA and a conclusion that was very satisfying.
I would definitely recommend reading this book
As always, make sure to read the trigger warnings. Omegaverse HEA FMMMM and also MM No cheating One reference to an MMC’s “manwhore” tendencies early on. But he turns a new leaf immediately upon meeting the FMC.
Tangled Up in Knots by Ari Wright was an emotional and addictive MMFMM why choose romance featuring fated mates, hurt/comfort, found family, and a heroine loosely inspired by Rapunzel from Tangled. Once I got settled into the story, I found myself fully invested in both the FMC’s journey and the relationships she built throughout the book.
One of my favorite things about this book was the banter between the characters. The dialogue felt natural, witty, and gave each member of the harem their own distinct personality. I also loved the Rapunzel-inspired elements woven into the story. While it isn’t a retelling, there were enough familiar threads to make it feel like a fresh and unique take on a beloved character. The hurt/comfort aspects were especially well done, and watching the FMC find healing, support, and love from her mates made for some truly heartwarming moments. The emotional connections felt genuine, and the found-family dynamic added even more depth to the story.
I did remove a star for a couple of reasons. The beginning was a little difficult for me to follow, especially when it came to keeping track of the characters and understanding how everyone fit into the story. Once I found my footing, I was hooked, but those first chapters felt a bit confusing. I also personally loathe the use of the word “daddy” in a sexual context, so those moments pulled me out of the story whenever they came up.
Overall, I had a great time with this book. Between the lovable characters, entertaining banter, emotional healing, fated mate bonds, and the subtle Rapunzel inspiration, it was a fun and heartfelt read that kept me turning the pages. If you’re a fan of MMFMM why choose romances with plenty of heart, humor, and comfort after the hurt, I’d definitely recommend giving Tangled Up in Knots a try.
Let me start this off by saying that Rapunzel and her movie Tangled is my favourite of all time and Ari portrayed that story beautifully through this book and trust me I got excited at every single reference we got in this book!!
Violet is our Rapunzel of sorts, both were kept prisoner and the difference is Rapunzel did not know she was a prisoner for 18 years while pretty much the opposite case for Violet, she always thought she was a Beta and no matter all the trials and test her "father" put her through she remained that way and so ended up being locked in an attic to leave her story forever. Only that doesn't end up happening as get this her omega decides to wake up and keep her alive that little bit longer to when she is found by two alphas Atlas and Finn who were only to check the building out for a debt. Only when they find her do they realise that she is their mate, and Violet's omega can think the only way to keep them from leaving is to bite one of the Alphas, that being Atlas.
But we have a massive problem of the fact Atlas already has an omega but unbonded and his name is Gideon so that causes a lot of tension as due to the half bond they had to take Violet back to their home. And to finish off our pack we have a mute alpha named Ryker who seemingly is from Violet's past and the one he has been looking for all along and she ends up being the one to heal him.
I loved reading this book, all the references to Tangled and just being on edge whether everything would end up okay or not as we had a hell of a lot of tension throughout the whole book and I was not sure how it would go half of the time. I loved this story, and I can't wait to see what Ari does next!!
I'd like to thank Luna Literary, Smuthood, and Ari Wright for providing me with an ARC copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This Rapunzel x Sleeping Beauty inspired why choose romance follows Violet, an omega who accidentally bonds with a pack she never expected to find. Featuring fated mates, forced proximity, hurt/comfort, found family, and plenty of emotional healing, this was such a unique take on the classic fairytale.
One of the things that hit me hardest was Violet's past. My heart broke for her more than once, and it made me root for her happiness from the very beginning. I was also super happy to see the iconic frying pan make an appearance because a Tangled retelling wouldn't feel complete without it.
Character wise, Gideon quickly became one of my favorite characters. His kindness, patience, and understanding made him impossible not to love, especially during the more emotional moments of the story. Like I would NOT have that much forgiveness and patience in me if someone else got so attached to my man but I digress.
I also loved watching the relationships develop over time. Seeing characters move from hurt and uncertainty toward trust, forgiveness, and acceptance was incredibly satisfying. My only small complaint is that Finn sometimes felt a little left out compared to the other mates. I found myself wanting more moments between him and Violet because some of the other relationships, especially Ryker's, felt more developed. My poor Finn deserved a little more love. 🥲
And as a completely random side note, the Pedro Pascal reference made me laugh because honestly, Gideon has excellent taste. <3
I absolutely adored Tangled Up in Knots by Ari Wright! This omegaverse retelling of Tangled with touches of Sleeping Beauty completely stole my heart.
Violet has endured so much abuse and experimentation before finally finding the people who see her worth, and watching her slowly heal felt incredibly rewarding. While there are definitely some heavy moments, this story is ultimately full of hope, warmth, and found family.
One of my favorite parts was the unique twist of having two omegas. I was a little nervous going in, but it was handled beautifully. There was never any cheating—just people learning how to build a family that worked for everyone. Gideon and Violet's relationship was just as heartwarming as Finn and Ryker's romances, and I loved seeing two omegas find happiness together while each being deeply loved by their pack.
The entire cast shines. Atlas is the steady, dependable alpha every pack needs, Finn brings his rogue charm, Ryker has such a protective heart beneath his tough exterior, and Gideon's journey from surviving by passing as an alpha to embracing who he truly is was so satisfying. Every single character carries a painful past, but what makes this book special is watching them all grow—not just as partners, but as people.
If you love omegaverse stories with found family, emotional healing, protective alphas, sweet romance, and plenty of character growth, Tangled Up in Knots is an easy recommendation. It had me smiling, tearing up, and rooting for this unconventional pack from beginning to end.
I have only recently come to love Omegaverse books and this one was fantastic!
Gideon, an omega to Atlas, is part of Atlas' pack but is only Atlas's omega. Finn is his best friend and Ryker is just there. What seems to be the missing piece is Violet, the omega they were sent to find by Gideon's cousin and who just happens to be the mate of all the others. This doesn't make Gideon very happy as he wants Atlas to himself, and it seems like that will be the plan for a while. That is, until Gideon and Violet get to know each other and Gideon sees what this pack truly needs. So when it comes time for Violet's first heat, what will happen?
This pack gets their happy ending in this standalone book in a series.
I loved how much this pack needed Violet but also how much she needed them. I do have to wonder if Atlas ever ended up sharing Gideon with Finn at all, or if it was just Violet that got to share Gideon with Atlas as Ryker was very clear on his stance. I do have to wonder what would have happened if Atlas and Gideon had bonded before Atlas had found Violet and she initiated the start of the bond and what affect that would have had on the whole pack. It would also be interesting to know how much time these two packs now will be spending together with the double familial bond between them and Gideon once again working for his family, but in a better way.
I received an advance review copy from The Smuthood Promo, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
First up, I have to say that I generally really love Ari's writing and I have really enjoyed the two previous Royalverse books, so I went in with fairly high expectations. Tangled Up In Knots more than delivered, I feel like the entire Royalverse series is just a tad darker (but not dark in itself per se), and that continued here with a touch starved and mistreated Omega and her long and sometimes painful road to her pack.
I really enjoyed how the characters were portrayed, especially how Gideon had a very human response when Violets first entered the scene, and had to struggle with himself, before everyone could find their happy ending. It felt like Ari had dug just a little bit deeper into the characters this time and all over MMCs were unique and distinct personalities. Violet was a very classic omega being soft, but also incredibly strong and with such a kind heart that she sometimes, okay actually a lot of time, put herself last to her own detriment. I was very happy to see her get her HEA and with a pack of wonderful guys.
The spice was definitely spicing with some MM interaction as well, fairly light, and plenty of individual and group trysts. It was a great read and another great reminder of the diversity and depth of the Omegaverse genre that Ari Wright is such a great representative of! ❤️
I went into this not realizing it was book three, and that confusion quickly turned into obsession because I was absolutely not ready for what this story delivered. After finishing it, I already know I need to go back and experience the series from the beginning.
This Rapunzel inspired omegaverse, why choose romance wrapped me up and refused to let go. The FMC is unbelievably soft-hearted and endearing, the kind of character you want to protect while also cheering her on through every emotional twist. And trust me, there are plenty.
This book really lives up to its title in every possible way. My emotions were pulled in every direction at once. I was heartbroken for certain characters, completely giddy for others, and constantly bracing myself because anything could happen next. It has that addictive, keep-reading-even-when-you-should-sleep energy.
What makes it stand out even more is how thoughtfully everything is written. Each character’s feelings and struggles are layered and handled with so much care, which makes the emotional payoff hit even harder.
If you love an Omegaverse with depth, angst, and a story that fully consumes you, this one is going to live rent free in your head.
This book was just such a beautiful Omegaverse pack love story. I was in tears by the time it ended. When we first meet Violet, our Omega, she is being "tested" and then is left to literally die in an abandoned attic of a house. She's been portraying as a beta all this time. She's rescued from the point of death by 2 Alphas who are part of a group of 4 men living together. She bites the Pack Leader Atlas out of fear but that creates a half bond. Unfortunately, Atlas has a male Omega in the group already and doesn't feel he can complete the bond with Violet. Gideon is Atlas' Omega, and he's been "passing" as an alpha for years now. The other 2 members of the group are Ryker, who barely ever speaks and has terrifying nightmares and Finn, who is basically a pretty boy partier. From the rather dark beginning to the final ending is an amazing journey that really hit all the boxes of emotions. Violet is such an amazing, strong female character and how she interacts with each of the men around her is spot on. Each and every member of the group is really well defined and has a back story that explains how they are. The whole book is a healing story for every member of the group. I loved the story, and the ending.
I couldn’t wait for this one once I knew it was going to involve elements of tangled and two omegas.
There were so many quotes l wanted to do and so many elements I loved. I giggled when the frying pan made an appearance in the story. But making Pascal a cute kitten named after Pedro Pascal was just top tier.
Thank you so much @ari.wrights.romance and @thesmuthood for my #gifted copy is Tangled Up In Knots. I can say for sure this one is going to be a trophy book on my shelf.
What can I say about this amazing omegaverse book. The story is so driven with the omega Violet who had a horrible past but is the most thoughtful, smart and talented FMC.
Sure she made a mistake when she accidentally bit Atlas and it pissed off Gideon but with her sweetness she won him over. It was so cute to watch Gideon try not to fall for her.
Finn is the rogue and Ryker (you all see what she did here with the name right? 😉) Ryker being the feral and from her past helped her to see her worth and that they could all overcome their broken parts.
If you want to read any omegaverse you need to pick this one up.One of my top reads for the year.
"I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review."
Okay, gather close, because here is the 411, the tea, the lowdown, the inside track…
Are you listening! Good!
Being the glorious millennial that I am, this hit ALL THE FEELS. Tangled is a later-generational movie that I love with my kids so I had so many hopes for this one. Don’t get me wrong, Ari is always an instaread/buy for me but his book… exceeded all my wildest dreams AND MORE.
The group dynamic that surrounded this book was totally *chefs kiss.* It wasn’t just some instant love, ABO book that is a dime a dozen you can pick up on a shelf. (And I say that in the nicest terms because I lead ALOT of omegaverse.) There was heartache, longing, YEARNING! The character development really helped to push this book that much farther. This is one of the books, that was while, there wasn’t an outside plot line to look into outside of the pack dynamics that were trying to be discovered, it didn’t honestly affect my feeling towards the book!
Let’s be honest though, pascal and the frying pan stole the show! I cannot wait to see what is in store for this royalverse!
I cannot put into words how good this book was and how little I was ready for it. Ari Wright has this magical power to make me sob harder then I think possible. This became a book I binged in my bed alone at 2 am so I could cry my way through it. Frankly, I was so excited for this despite the fact I usually don’t like dual omega packs. The territorial vibes usually don’t go well and its just- not my thing. But here- I thought it turned out so so sweet. Violet is precious... she’s just such a little scared muffin I wanted to hideaway with her and binge barbie movies. It’s all I wanted through this whole thing. Gideon can come too- but mainly Violet and I LMAO. The pack without her was good, but it felt like it was missing something. It was written in such a way they were kind of happy without her but they were COMPLETE with her. Ryker was- holy cow. He’s my fav from this book there’s such a precious lost and found/fairytale/ fated/in the stars vibe with them. I couldn’t get enough. All the men were precious, handsome, clearly written by a woman. I loved it. I need the special edition ASAP PLEASE ARI I BEG
Oh, she's done it again. This other always sends to find those little niches of great stories, and she flips them to make them even better. And on her own take
This is a story of violet, and she is found abandoned in a house which apparently everybody forgot about her, and the men who found her turned out to be the loves of her life. Now, the only problem is, one of the men already thought. He found the love of his life and he swore up and down that nothing could ever change that the story takes you through the ups and downs of all their relationships together. And when it comes in the end that it just shows that love is love.No matter if it's present past, if you've lost somebody if you've been looking for them, it's altogether
This author is always one of my favorite. She did a great take on Tangled. So you have you know you have Ryker, and Finn, you've got violet and pascal, and i'm not gonna tell you who's who you have to read it, but as normal. It's amazing
Now, I will say... my favorite part......She totally incorporated the best weapon in the world hats off to her
This book is absolutely in my top 5 favorite omegaverse books ( and I’ve read a lot lol)
I loved this story. First off the way it followed as a fairytale retelling from tangled has me giggling and simply just loving it. So well done and I had the best time finding connections.
The pack was the most unique pact relationships I’ve ever read about which kept me SO intrigued the whole time. I love reading about two omega packs and without giving anything away there is some accidental bonding that is simply chefs kiss.
Now let’s talk about the alphas. They all have so much going on and their characters are so deep and haunted in their own ways. Each alpha had such a story to tell you follow the whole book and continue to learn why they do what they do and how their character formed.
I truly found myself so invested in all the characters and how things played out for their pack. I was rooting for them, crying with them and kicking my feet giggling with them through the whole book. I loved this so much and I’m sure I’ll do a reread.
Tangled Up In Knots was such a fun, emotional, and addictive why-choose Omegaverse romance! It had a great plot, lovable characters, witty banter, emotional healing, and plenty of spice. I also loved the Rapunzel-inspired elements woven throughout the story.
I really enjoyed watching Violet, Finn, Ryker, Atlas, and Gideon's story unfold. They all have their own trauma to work through, and I loved seeing their individual growth while watching them slowly come together as a pack. Their journey toward healing was one of my favorite parts of the book.
Every character is so different and a little unhinged in their own way but together they're absolute chaos in the best way. Their chemistry with Violet is off the charts 💥, the banter is top-tier 🎯, and the spice? Definitely delivered. 🌶️🔥
Overall, this was such an enjoyable read, and I found myself rooting for this pack from beginning to end.
⚠️ Don't forget to check the content and trigger warnings before reading!
Thank you to Ari Wright and The Author Agency for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
If you’re hunting for an omegaverse fix, Ari Wright basically kicks down your door, hands you emotional trauma in kindle form, and whispers “you’re welcome” while backing away slow. This installment is emotionally damaging in the best way, the kind where you keep turning pages even though your heart is begging for a break.
You get not one but two omegas —
• a touch‑starved omega on the brink of death who made my chest ache • a chosen‑bond omega (not scent‑mate!) whose pain is so palpable you feel it in your teeth
And the alphas? Oh, they’re not okay either. Every single one is carrying their own emotional damage like a badge of honor, and Ari makes sure you feel every jagged edge of it.
Despite being a thick girl, this book reads like a sprint — fast, addictive, and impossible to put down. You blink and suddenly you’re 80% in, emotionally compromised, and bargaining with the universe for everyone to get a nap and a cuddle pile.
I absolutely DEVOURED this book in about 6 hours! I have loved each book in the Royalverse, but this one just might be my favorite. I like my OV/RH with a healthy dose of angst, and boy oh boy did this book deliver. My heart ached for pretty much every member of this pack, but especially for my girl Violet and her Lion (iykyk). Ari Wright crafted such a beautiful story about facing your demons with the support of those around you, even if it makes you feel vulnerable when you do. This book is jam-packed with spice, hurt/comfort, and growing relationships. If you like an OV/RH book that has fairytale vibes, cozy yet heart-wrenching vibes, and a few adorable animals, then I cannot recommend this book enough.
Thank you to Ari Wright and Luna Literacy for allowing me the HONOR of an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book was a first for me, the fairytale retelling with a twist. I really enjoyed it. I had little moments of humor when I connected little details with the original tale. This would be a bit of a darker take though with Violet being human experiment. I liked it being a why choose because it didn’t exactly feel like it to start with. There were some twists that I enjoyed and didn’t entirely see coming. They guys were all great in their own way. I didn’t expect Ryker to turn out how he did but he may have been my favorite. Finn was great with his humor but still had his soft side. Atlas and Gideon took some getting used to though. The struggles they all had to deal with individually did pull on my heartstrings though. I definitely would be interested in a multi cast audiobook though. It would take the story to another level.
I really enjoyed this Rapunzel/Tangled, Omegaverse/pack retelling. I thought it brought some unique elements to the genre while still following a lot of the major beats. Each of these characters brought a full suitcase of emotional baggage into the story but they all find ways to heal each other over the course of the book.
I would recommend reading the previous books in the series to give more insight into events prior to this story but I don't think it impacts how you receive this group relationship dynamic. I was hooked and couldn't put it down plus had some moments that my eyes welled up. There was a good balance of emotional moments, hard moments from their pasts, and just enough light moments to keep it from felling too heavy overall.
Thank you to The Author Agency, Smuthood, and the author for an advanced reader copy to review.
OMG 😲 if i didn't have a Dr's appointment this morning I would have read through the night
This was such a fun read (apart from the sad parts). A beautiful emotional story with plenty of heartbreak but even more healing, a load of fun banter and off the charts spice levels
Great characters each with their own unique personalities that it's impossible to choose a favourite... thank goodness for why choose romance
I highly recommend this book if you are a fan of omegaverse, found family, bonded mates, why choose 😍 and 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
Thank you Ari and The Smuthood for such a fun ARC opportunity
❤️ How I Rate Books ⭐ didn't like it ⭐⭐ it was ok ⭐⭐⭐ I liked it ⭐⭐⭐⭐Loved it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing! Will reread!
Vi's story broke my heart. Especially when she was in her tower alone. I was so close to tears reading how she was barely holding on, just for Finn to walk in and get whopped upside the head with a frying pan and have my chuckling. Gid's reaction and heartbreak felt like my own, same for the secret pining from At and how Ryker hesitated whenever he got to close or to far from her. I loved watching the pack bond grow, especially when Finn did what he did outside for Ryker and Vi. I thought it was incredibly sweet and showed that he's not a brainless materialistic Alpha, but really does care about others. Do I wish the book moved a bit faster? Yes especially while she was healing and struggling, but overall it was a great read!
Thank you to The Smuthood for a copy of this e-arc!
Ari Wright continues to be one of my favorite omegaverse authors!! This was SO good. I always love when authors do a bit of a different take on omegaverse and this one did that so well by having 2 omegas in one pack. The yearning and the angst was just perfect!! I loved Violet building separate relationships with each of the men and watching them all get to know her. I loved all of them as individual couples as well as all together as a pack. I will definitely be going back to read the other books in this series. I highly recommend!
