Approach with Respect
Being new to any plant medicine you need to approach it with respect and caution.
This is not something to play with or a recreational drug. The effects are not pleasant.
Some plants offer communion.
Some are masculine others neuter. But the Shepherdess of the Leaves is the Mother.
She's not shy like other plants communicators.
You must be ready for to understand plant consciousness. Humans are singular and separate in their sentience. Plants experience their environment of the earth wholly and in entirety.
Plants are not conscious in the same way humans are. Plant consciousness is completely alien to human consciousness.
When combined with the human imagination it makes for bizarre and terrifying experiences especially if proper dosing is not followed.
It's difficult to find proper dosing on Salvia Divinorum.
Most people use too much like they were using marijuana. A tiny amount is enough when using even a 10x extract.
The formula is 400/x=y where 400 is the amount of Salvorin A in 1,000 mg (1 gram).
So in a 10x strength a fairly strong dose is 40mg
400/10=40mg. Even that is too much the first time. Believe me.
It's difficult to measure milligrams as most home scales only measure grams.
Salvia Divinorum is not for the casual partier.
This is not a feel good experience. You will be scared and shaken afterwards especially if do not approach her with respect.
You will fight for your sense of your self as you pull your consciousness out of that place she speaks to you. Then you might understand
Plant Consciousness if you are already deeply spiritually in whatever tradition you practice. She might appear to you in a way you understand or she may not. You won't understand while you are in communion until afterwards if she needs you to remember.
Do not publicly speak of your experiences in a casual way.
They are only for dedicated psychonauts.
Please do not over indulge. Do not be ignorant and use too much especially the first communion. You need a close friend to stay with you who will stay quiet not speak and not touch you unless you get up and walk around.
The sense of yourself will feel pulled strongly out away and you will not know who or what you are or have any sense of time. It's not fun. It's like being ripped into thousands of pieces and each piece is your not-self and part of everything. It's terrifying.
