Why three books?

Only 2 stars because this is not a stand alone book - there are 2 more that follow. Why are these authors so convinced they are good enough to divide what should be one book into 3 parts? Sure you want to get to the HEA, but the books together barely make for one night’s good reading. I enjoyed this one, but I won’t be reading other books by this author unless I am assured the book is complete and not just “part one” of however many other parts - and I see from her page that she has several other stories divided the same way. Not for me!

This was a sweet storyline, but both characters could have used a little more depth and development. And a relationship that was to be based on truth had too many lies, even if by omission - what was the point of even mentioning being truthful?

Actually o loved the book, and had it been complete,

I'd have given five stars! But I really hate teasers. Buying a book only to get the first half is well beyond frustrating and does NOT entice me to purchase the rest. Instead, it makes for a certainty that I'll avoid that author in the future. No matter how intriguing future releases may seem, trust has been broken. Not only do I not trust marketing ploys, I learn from them. Mostly not to support those who use them.

Too short for me. I didn't realize it was a Novella. I do not like the Novella's as they either end without tying up all the loose ends or they skip too fast through things that should take time. Book was so not what I thought.

It’s not the worst book I’ve ever read (that title belongs to an infamous TikTok rec that shall not be named), but the book could use a lot of editing and the pacing is just too fast for the development of the MC to be believable. That being said, it’s a good way to start #TrashyRomanceCrawl2k23

Short and I'll probably not be buying 2 and 3. They're priced as full length books, which they are not.

A very enjoyable book.

I read this book in one sitting. I really enjoyed. The author made me feel like I was there on that ranch riding that house. Her description was breathtaking.

This isn't a book, it's just the first few chapters of a book. It might have been a good book if it was finished. I won't be buying the sequel because I refuse to reward this type of publisher behavior .

The story line starts out fine, but suddenly the two main characters, who hardly know each other, are embroiled in hot sex. It read more like smut.
Further, you have to order the second and third volume to find out what happens. Forget it!

Wonderful book. Enjoyed Chris, he seemed like a really great man. Hopefully Amy realizes how great they are together and sticks around.

Not as sexy as advertised. Also lots of telling and very little showing, otherwise it could have been a good story despite all of the cliches.

This book has you feeling like you are standing in this book with these characters. The way the author describes scenes & such bring it to real life like you are standing there and seeing it.

Going Home to Regroup

The characters in the story came to life. Amy just wanted to go home just to figure out her next plan of action. She looses her job and can't afford living in New York without one. She had no plan to stay in the country but her plans take a detour.
