Grief is a terrible thing. Sophie Crenshaw is intimately aware of its destructive power, having recently lost her grandmother. But her grandmother left her a house in her will. A house that Sophie has been dreaming of owning since she was a little girl. However, Sophie's aspirations for turning the old and dilapidated Victorian mansion into a bookstore begin to turn into a nightmare. As the leaves turn colors and the seasons change, so does Sophie's feelings toward renovating the house. Eerie events begin to crawl out of the woodwork and when a séance during a Halloween party proves dangerous, she knows that something has to be done. With the help of her new friend, Claire, Sophie has taken it upon herself to solve the mystery of the presence living in her home. As the deadline for the opening of her store fast approaches, can she banish its existence forever?
