A Crown and Glory Lesbian Love Story

At Crown and Glory Natural Hair Salon, the chairs hold more than clients. They hold stories, healing, and hope. For Lyric James, a gifted young stylist with waist-length microlocs, her internship is not only the first step toward her career, it is a lifeline. She carries the scars of foster care and a painful history she rarely shares.

Mouse Freeman, quiet and steady, is known as the “baby whisperer” at Children of the Dream daycare. Her life is simple and private, but everything changes when she opens her world to Lyric. Together, they discover the possibility of safety, love, and joy where once there was only survival.

With the unwavering support of the salon sisterhood, Lyric and Mouse step into a romance that is tender, passionate, and transformative. Their story is both a spicy sapphic love story and a celebration of community. Readers will find themselves immersed in a world of Black women in love, where intimacy and found family coexist with laughter, gossip, and steamy nights that make this a truly unforgettable Black lesbian romance.

Perfect for fans of natural hair salon romance, LGBTQ women’s fiction, and queer romance with Black protagonists, Haven is both sensual and soulful. It stands boldly within the tradition of sapphic erotica, centering on women of color's love stories that highlight resilience, tenderness, and joy. As part of a steamy lesbian romance series, it proves that home is not just a place. It is the love you build together.

Intended for readers 18 and older. Trigger This story references past sexual assault in a character’s backstory, though it is not depicted on the page.

Lesbian Love Story

Crown and Glory is a hair salon where Lyric works as a hairstylist, and they are teaching her how to braid black hair. Dana is Abike's wife, and Abike is training Lyric. Mouse is a daycare worker who works at Children of the Dream. Mouse works in the baby's room. Lyric is sleeping in her car and is homeless, and Mouse is looking for a roommate. Dana and Abike set it up, so the money that Lyric earned at the hair salon could go to help Mouse out with rent. This book is a warm, slow burn book about sisterhood and survival. It's about neighborly gestures and community intervention. As Lyric is studying for her boards, Lyric and Mouse become a couple. It's a heartfelt story of two black women.

This has so much happening. I love the antics in the hair salon especially protecting the intern. From domestic disarray to sleeping in the carpark the social ussues ate well written. My favourite is the caregivers at the Child care center. A great tale
