North Coast Omegaverse #5

Found by the Pack

Rate this book
I came to Driftwood Cove to outrun the grief, the failure, and the girl I used to be.

Six murals. Six paychecks. A and quiet coastal town far from the chaos of Memphis.

But Driftwood Cove has a way of pulling you in.
And so do the men I never saw coming.

Shepard—the broody librarian who makes stillness feel like safety.
Gabe—the grumpy firefighter who reminds me what it means to fight.
Boone—the golden-retriever paramedic who makes me laugh when I’ve forgotten how.

I told myself I didn’t need anyone. That I couldn’t be anyone’s Omega again.
But with every touch, every look, every late-night moment tangled in their arms, they’re proving me wrong.

They’re not just claiming me.
They’re helping me find who I was always meant to be.

Leave it to my ex pack to show up...Driftwood Cove was supposed to be where I could bury past...

Turns out, it might just be where I’m reborn.

Found by the Pack is a standalone MFMM Omegaverse romance with knotting, heat, and all the steam . No shifting, but all the spicy pack feels you crave.

‘Found By the Pack’ is a love story, set in a quaint seaside town, that pulled at my heartstrings, forced my breath to catch, and caused my heart to flutter.

Boone, Shepherd, and Gabe’s scarred souls recognize and yearn to heal Sadie’s past trauma. The road to finding their HEA is anything but smooth—But, as we all know, the sweetest victories come from the toughest battles. In ‘Found By the Pack’, author Nora Quinn delivers decadent levels of spice, while also pouring a tremendous amount of heart into these four beautifully flawed, fleshed-out characters. Well done.

If you’re looking for angst, plot holes, unresolved issues, and a lack of proofreading then this book is for you.

Every character in this book had enough angst to make Bella Swan look well adjusted. Normally when authors drop breadcrumbs like this they lead somewhere. These just lead in circles. The characters have no depth and no personality. There’s a lot of heavy pauses and half-completed thoughts that never get fleshed out.

There are also several points where the scenes aren’t in order and a few where you’ll read a scene and two paragraphs later it’s the same scene written just a little differently. There’s also several points where the speaker just randomly switches even though you can tell that wasn’t intended. A good proofreading would be good.

ok

It started off really good then the ending happened and it was rushed . It feels not done I don’t know how to explain it but I really hated the ending.

This book stands out from previous Omegaverse works by Nora Quinn. The FMC, Sadie, is a compelling blend of grief, trauma, resilience, and quirkiness. Having survived a terrible ordeal, she finds her purpose in Driftwood Cove through her art, the town, and her close connections with Boone, Shep, and Gabe.

The MMCs are uniquely characterized, held together by grief and loyalty. Boone exudes major puppy energy with a fierce intensity. Shep offers calm reassurance and reveals his strong fighting spirit by the end. Gabe embodies tortured intensity. The pack dynamics are unconventional—more nuanced than traditional notions—and their coming together unfolds gradually, extending beyond the halfway point of the story.

While they do find their Happily Ever After, it’s only after confronting Sadie’s past head-on.

This book is a compelling read—more impactful than I initially expected. The pack’s relationships evolve organically, starting with Sadie and one MMC before expanding into a group dynamic. Although the pack-sharing aspect was—initially seeming unplanned—the development is authentic and engaging.

Overall, it’s a fantastic book, and I highly recommend giving it a try.

A Tough Book to Finish - Lazy Writing

I read these types of standalone RH romances usually as a palate cleansers so my standards are not usually high with them. Unfortunately, this was nothing more than a disappointing read. From the shallow writing to the repetitive descriptions, it was a task to finish this book.

The most frustrating part was lack of effort with the writing and plot. Nothing about the plot or character development felt natural. Honestly, it felt like the author just kept writing down every idea in her head without checking to see if it made sense to the story itself. One moment, the author describes the MMC isn’t wearing glasses before he starts to get intimate with the FMC, but the next sentence, he has the glasses on and is in a different position in the room as if the reader wouldn’t notice the contradictions.

In another paragraph the author sets up a scene and in the next paragraph, she explains the same scene again with a few words switched around. Almost as if the author didn’t realize she already explained it to the reader. It’s such lazy writing that I don’t even know if it was proofread before being published.

Bonus Complaint: What is with everyone greeting each other by way of asking, “what the hell is going on?!” I must’ve read that question 6x minimum anytime a MMC called someone or entered a room. Even when they were already told what was going.

This is not my usual genre but “broody Librarian” in the blurb convinced me to give it a try. I have to admit that some of the intricacies of the Omegaverse community were a bit fuzzy, but it was an interesting read for me. I’m also not a big fan of angst, but I really liked all the main characters and the journey they made to heal from their past hurts and trauma. The developing relationship between the 4 characters was written with care and consideration particularly regarding these past hurts.

The story was engaging, but I found that there were many moments of inconsistency in scenes which took me out of the story as I tried to figure out what was actually happening. The last quarter of the book is fast paced and chaotic, but again there were a number of times where the description of the action just didn’t make sense to me.

You should definitely read the trigger warnings as there are a number of themes that readers may find upsetting.

I’ve read a few other books by Nora Quinn and for the most part I really liked them. This one though? Just had way too many plot holes that were never really explored. Lots of angst between the characters, and no true Omegaverse here like in her other ones. I like Sadie, but definitely felt like she could have been fleshed out more. And honestly, was kind of disappointed that the one pack member she chose to start her relationship with wasn’t the one I felt like she had the best connection to. The two Alphas and the Beta don’t really talk about anything to each other and they just decide they are ok with sharing her. Like, idk. Something about this one just never really came together cohesively. And the end?? I know there needed to be action but come on. None of them put it together? Not one until it was too late? I figured it out immediately…then they left her alone???? Nah. I really wanted to like this one but it just didn’t do it for me.

First I want to say that I didn't hate this, it was cute and plenty of angst and spice. However, there were so many plot holes that I thought I was reading something by a debut author with no experience. The plot holes didn't become super noticeable until about 80% in and then it seemed like the more that was happening, the harder it was to keep the story straight. One second Gabe is standing outside his truck converging on a disabled vehicle and the next sentence has him in his truck hauling ass to get to the truck to stop them. There were so many parts like that in the last 10% that it was almost too hard to keep up with what was going on. I really did enjoy this up until that 80% mark when I just about gave up on it. And for an Omegaverse book, usually the males are completely aware of the fact that an Omega is going to be shared but holy crap was Boone a jealous one, always whining about sharing...you're in a damn pack...that's what's supposed to happen!!!!!!

Good. I enjoyed it really but I’ve read a lot of omegaverse and I’m having a hard time using that as a descriptor for this book. I liked the characters but had a hard time connecting with them. It felt like they were all over the place and their development over the course of the book didn’t make sense. I enjoyed the angsty feel but it lacked some focus. Also the whole thing about omegaverse is the omega is the center but the whole plot of the main relationship was of one alpha claiming the girl alone. The ending felt too abrupt but also I’m glad it wasn’t painstakingly drawn out. All that said I loved Sadie for her strength but needed more from the character development. The writing style felt different for me too. Not bad very descriptive and kept me reading. Waiting patiently for more from driftwood cove.

Another smalltown omegaverse set in North Coast’s Driftwood Cove and where I one day want to move based on all these stories. This story hurt to read because of the grief, pain and loss the FMC Sadie suffered when her “husband” didn’t come home from his firefighting job one day. I just wanted to cry with her and give her hugs but it was so heartwarming by the end. This FMC is different from some of the other omegaverse books that I have read and gave a refreshing insight but also showed how she is a survivor. I loved how she got to meet each of the guys Shep, Boone and Gabe throughout the story and their relationships grew. However I struggled at the end and felt like there were things that were just quickly shoved together to finish the book and I felt like some things were left vague….only reason for 4/5 stars otherwise I loved it.

I'm ngl prior books were far better. Also the world developing is genuinely insane. It's like Nora completely forgets what is normal and what isn't normal in their own created world. Like are packs a normalized thing or not? make up your damn mind.
The book is called "found by the pack" but 25 chapters in with a surprise heat starting yet there's no progress to the so called pack with the omega. And its 1 Alpha that's "exclusive" to the omega. The "pack" considers itself pack but somehow is insanely foreign to the concept of sharing an omega EVEN THOUGH, and this is what fucking pisses me off, the world ALREADY has the packs from other books well established in this small town with sharing omegas. Like??????????????
At this point Nora, did you actually plan and write these books or????

I absolutely loved when I read rescued by the pack and jumped at the chance to read Found by the pack. theres some sweet moments and I loved watching the guys who never shared slowly come together truly like a pack. their love for Sadie, their town, their professions and their brotherly bonds with each other. This is my second one of the series that I have ARC read now and I'm definitely going back to start reading the other ones now because I can't get enough of these OV books.

If you have issues with Domestic Violence from past partners or flashbacks / anxiety from DV from past partners (not the MMCs) then please keep caution as this could be triggering. This book does have this as part of it's storyline.

Sadie arrived in Driftwood Cove a mental and physical mess. She came to paint murals, escape an abusive pack, and to find herself again. Sadie just wanted to live a quiet, low-key, low-stress life after getting out of an abusive, tumultuous relationship with her old pack. Sadie began a sweet relationship with Shepard, Gabe, and Boone. She had to relearn how to trust herself and others. They all did. She had to learn how to be intimate again. Just when she finally did that, trouble came knocking on the door. I enjoyed this spicy, reverse harem, firefighter, omegaverse story that included plenty of pack drama, betrayal, and love. The book had a great ending! I recommend this book.

Everyone has a past. Escaping it is the hard thing.

Can four damaged people become a pack, share an omega? Sadie is running from an abusive pack that her alpha belonged to. He died. She answers an ad for a mural painter in Driftwood Cove a tight knit community by the sea. Boone is a fire fighter that is haunted by his brother’s fiery death. Gabe is a cop with a hidden past that makes him shy away from Sadie. And lastly there is Shepard, the sweet beta librarian. He can’t believe anyone would want a beta, even if they are scent matches. Slowly Sadie makes friends with this almost pack. The abusive alphas are hunting their play toy. Sadie hopes they don’t find her.

I wanted to love it

I wanted to rate this higher because the story was decent but holy inconsistencies batman. The most consistent thing in the book was that half the time you don't know what's actually happening. The entire thing needs serious proof reading and editing. They are in the living room but she is being pressed into the mattress? Then they are carrying her to the bedroom? She's in the bed of the truck but also in a seat with the seatbelt on? Come on. I couldn't even enjoy half of the story because I spent so much time trying to puzzle out what was going on. Even without a professional editor, just some basic proofreading would fix most of this.

Good story but…

The story is excellent. Great character development all around, slow build relationships and plot twist. The only thing is there are some inconsistencies that begin around midway. Things like why would a firefighter have a gun belt? If Boone left in an ambulance how is his truck at the scene of an accident? And at the beginning all the guys live in the same building but then it’s referred to as a house? Or the scene will say they are in a room but then they walk into the same room.

But even with the inconsistencies it really is a great read and a new storyline and take on the whole pack dynamic.

Like all Nora's books, this one is well written with a good storyline.
I liked that one of the pack members was a Beta, as this made it a bit different than her other stories.
I also enjoyed the tense ending with her old pack trying to steal her back.
As with the rest of this series of books, I felt a lack of back story explanation, especially for the male characters.

I really enjoyed this book. It was well written and i really felt alot for our FMC. When her husband dies and the rest of her pack abuses her, she runs. Taking a job in an obscure town painting murals, she slowly beings to fall for another pack including one who has the same job as her late husband.

I love the heartbreak and trauma and feel it deeply.

Sadie is looking to make a change and the first step is getting used to Driftwood Cove and the inhabitants there. In steps Shepard, Gabe and Boone. Each man makes Sadie feel cared for and seen, something she didn't get from her ex-pack, and the romance between them all is very steamy! It was nice to see Sadie get the HEA she needed and deserved. This was a great addition to the North Coast Omegaverse and an adorable steamy small town cozy romance to curl up and enjoy.

Ending scenes need reworked

The ending fight scene felt really rushed and were a struggle to read. There were details that all of a sudden popped up, ones that changed suddenly i.e. bounced between her being in the bed of a truck, then in the cab, etc.
It was such a pivotal moment that it made reading the ending of what should have been a very good book, hard. I skimmed the rest after the discrepancies and ended it feeling disappointed.

Like this Author But Editting was off

Was lookingvto this installment. There are redundant scenes, sometimes even conflicting. The editing dept pushed this through incomplete. So many references to Sawyer but the arc is unresolved. Rushed the conclusion in 10 pages. Could have been a 5 star experience but wasnt.

Nora Quinn seems to have either a hit or a miss. If you want a book where the three MMCs supposedly care so much about each other and are a pack but have no pack dynamics and are all jealous and immature then this is the book for you to read. This book felt long til the last couple chapters that didn’t fit in and made no sense and so much wasn’t explained.

typos & confusion

There were several typos, and a few where the wrong name was used or someone was somehow in two places at once. The ending action was very choppy & even harder to follow. I also hate that we only got like 3 chapters of them being “pack”. We only truly see the fmcs relationship with one MMC, the other two just kind of fell to the wayside.

A book that has everything

If you want drama, emotional roller coaster, spice, supportive and loving men, then this books for you. A town that will do anything to care for the residents who live and work there, is a town everyone should want to live in. A love that can help push through past trauma and lost, and this book has it all. Love this book and the characters.

another enjoyable read

I really like the simplicity and yet the complexity of this series of omegaverse books. They have way more to them that you a simple cozy romance, this one had a knuckle biting ending

This book is well written, but I have just come to the realization that I just don’t love the omegaverse that Nora has created . This book is just heavy. Each of the characters have a lot of trauma, and for an omegaverse it’s just too heavy for me to get through.

Sadie comes to driftwood cove for a job painting murals and in the process finds herself again through her art and in falling for these men that become her pack. Slowly but surely she discovers her voice again and bravely steps into what she wants.

The guys had a wonderful dynamic and I liked the way they struggled a little to find their groove with Sadie. Shepherd was my favorite and all the guys were worthy of her. The pacing was great and there was lots of intrigue in the end. Definitely a HEA and at the same time a bit of a cliffhanger in terms of what will happen next in the town

The pacing was good throughout the book and definitely got suspenseful at the end. Each of these characters really worked for their HEA with Sadie and as a pack.
