This book stands out from previous Omegaverse works by Nora Quinn. The FMC, Sadie, is a compelling blend of grief, trauma, resilience, and quirkiness. Having survived a terrible ordeal, she finds her purpose in Driftwood Cove through her art, the town, and her close connections with Boone, Shep, and Gabe.
The MMCs are uniquely characterized, held together by grief and loyalty. Boone exudes major puppy energy with a fierce intensity. Shep offers calm reassurance and reveals his strong fighting spirit by the end. Gabe embodies tortured intensity. The pack dynamics are unconventional—more nuanced than traditional notions—and their coming together unfolds gradually, extending beyond the halfway point of the story.
While they do find their Happily Ever After, it’s only after confronting Sadie’s past head-on.
This book is a compelling read—more impactful than I initially expected. The pack’s relationships evolve organically, starting with Sadie and one MMC before expanding into a group dynamic. Although the pack-sharing aspect was—initially seeming unplanned—the development is authentic and engaging.
Overall, it’s a fantastic book, and I highly recommend giving it a try.
