A secret. An immeasurable love. When strange things start happening to fifteen year old Blair Montgomery after a new kid starts at school, she knows something's up, but isn't sure what. She must recover from a tragic accident and move on with her life after what happened. And he's just the one to move on to. New kid. Qade. Qade Dangerfield. What a name. Girls are all over him. But which one will he choose? And how will he keep his deepest, darkest secret hidden forever?
"Singed" was a quick read that left me wondering what would happen to Blair in the sequel!
I enjoyed the plot of this book with suspenseful and mysterious aspects that kept me reading and wondering what would happen next. However, it was difficult to connect with the main character and the scenes jumped back and forth without explaining what led them to that place.
In my opinion, I think the author should add a chapter to the beginning of this book to describe the main character, Blair, and her personality. For instance how old is she? What grade is she in? What are her hobbies?
The author should also explain how her relationship with Henry began, how long they had been dating, and when/how he gave her the ring that was mentioned at the end of the book. There should also be more detail added to the book to explain how things happened, especially how Quade met Blair -When did Quade begin going to school with her? What incident caused them to notice each other? How did they became friends before meeting at the party?
Overall, I enjoyed what happened in the book and would like to know what happens to Blair next, but with more detail!
Okay, so I received this book due to a goodreads 'first reads' giveaway. I feel like this author could have potential is she had an editor to guide her through the writing process. There were many mistakes, spelling and just repeating sentences and or repeating words. The plot was disjointed and unbelievable. I couldn't relate to any of the characters and the story was very short. Honestly, the blurb sounded fairly good but it wasn't.
