Over 100 international contributors have come together to pay tribute to Joel Olson, (original co-editor of the infamous vegan cookzine, Soy, Not Oi!), who passed away in March of 2012.
Soy, Not Oi! Volume Two is filled with over 200 original vegan recipes with musical accompaniments, essays and articles about the origins of Soy Not Oi and living la vida loca - vegan style. It also includes a whole chapter on craft beer brewing,inside ribbings, zaniness, vegetables gone mad and all the rest you expect from the Hippycore crew.
100% of the profits will be donated to Joel Olson's wife and children.

Okay, up front and honest, I have my own recipes included in this book. But I can't lie, this book is truly amazing. Not only am I impressed by the wealth of delicious recipes, but there is an entire section devoted to making your own beer. How cool is that?!

Since my recipes are in this cookbook I feel a little biased reviewing it. However, I am honest in my reviews and can confidently say that the cookbook is amazing! Everything I've tried to cook or bake thus far has been delicious and the instructions are easy to follow (something I struggle with when cooking since I get distracted easily). It is written in a great conversational style that makes you feel like you are cooking in your kitchen with that amusing idealistic friend you love so much. It is also full of insights and clips from people who have and will change the world with their ideas and actions. Money goes to a great cause as well.

The best punk cookbook of all time (Soy, Not Oi!) reborn in Volume 2! BRILLIANT stuff, essays, great recipes, really wonderful stuff. HIGHLY recommended.

If you're looking for a good vegetarian/vegan cookbook, this is it. Contributed recipes from all over the globe, kitchen tested for ingredients, taste, and understandability are included. In most case the contributor has also included a song or two to listen to while cooking (strictly optional).

Bravo to Jack and Eryc for putting this all together. Well curated. All of the recipes were tested thoroughly. Highly recommended.
