In 1863 a wealthy sea captain, Sam Eldridge, built a 19th Century mansion on the bluff of Cape Cod Bay. Secrets and lies not only destroyed his family, but led to the death of his seventeen-year-old daughter, Belinda, when she fell off the bluff. According to folklore, Belinda’s ghost strolled the widow’s walk waiting for her love, Joshua, to return from the sea.Over decades, the mansion was handed down generations. After Hattie Hubbard went into a nursing home, the mansion suffered grave damage from neglect. When Hattie passed away, she bequeathed the mansion to her niece, Kelli Goddard.Determined to restore the mansion as her aunt had wished, Kelli returns to Manomet. She didn’t expect resistance from Rod Kesson, a land developer, who claimed he owned the property. The situation is further complicated when she becomes the target of numerous threats putting her life in danger. How many secrets does the mansion hold? Did Captain Eldridge hide rare coins on the property? Was the house inhabited by ghosts? Will Kelli falter under the pressure of selling the mansion for millions? Or, will she stand her ground, risking her life to hold on to her beloved Manomet Mansion?
When I was young, I read every Nancy Drew book published. I’ve always read romance novels and fantasized about being a published author. They say write what you love to read—that is why I write contemporary romantic suspense. Adding a paranormal flair to my novels makes writing and research more exciting!
My first novel, Uncharted Depths, received a Reader’s View award. The Apparition was published a few years later and received great reviews.
Wicked Moon was released October 2014 in Cape Cod and all profits go to The Simes Foundation. A real mansion is the backdrop for this romantic suspense with a paranormal flair. Will there be a sequel to Wicked Moon?
WOW! This book was such an awesome CHANGE from what I normally read. This book ropes 3 genres into one! Romance, mystery, and paranormal. The characters were older and one had been previously married and suffered tremendous heartache...while the two main male characters were older, never married, and suffering in their own way. I was really pulled into these lives and I felt myself pulling for different relationships at different times. Loved the level of angst in this book. The angst within Kelli and her wishing she didn't want "who" she wanted... and the angst between Kelli and the two men. This book has a more mature feel...like the characters had more at stake in a relationship then in the typical "young people fall in love" books I read. Then there's the paranormal aspect. The house in the book really does exist which made it fell more "real" to me. The way the ghosts really bring the whole book full circle was a little spooky! PLUS the twist at the end!!! Actually a few small twists I didn't see coming! Great Book! Can't wait to read more by this author!!
I commend the author, Taylor Nash. The journey she takes you on in the Wicked Moon is an amazingly heartwarming story. I was enthralled with the book and had a hard time putting it down when I had to. The characters in the book took me by the hand and enticed me to continue to read. I wholly recommend this book to everyone, especially anyone who loves mystery and lots of twists and turns. Rivetting to the very end. I am so thankful to have had the oppurtunity to read this lovely book!!!!!!
This was an entertaining ghost, romance, mystery story. It is not the genre I normally gravitate to, but I must admit that this was a pretty good read. I am going to pass this one on to a young friend whom I know will love this.
A gripping story with complicated relationships, some paranormal interest with a little bit of history and rumor. I can't say I read it in one sitting but I would've if I could've. I reccomend this book to all. I received this book from Goodreads for free.
